We got the Rapido V68 after waiting two years in December. These are great vans, well put together, and well thought out. We had a double socket fitted under the table, easy installation as the fuse box is next to the electrical equipment also under the table. It only cost us £110. My only problem is the smart alternator now fitted as standard, even with the B2B I find charging the batteries more difficult. We have even arrived with less power than what we had when we left home. But this issue applies to all new vans now. I am working on a solution. we went for the diesel only combo, and purchased a Govee heater, with bluetooth, and wifi control for when were are on hook up, it only cost £60 and does a great job. I would love to get the rear insulation you have, I don't suppose you know where it can be purchased. I insulated the rear doors myself, they only come with noise insulation as standard. Also no point in putting the hot water on to eco with the heating on, it already heats the water to the eco setting off 40C. But its important to run the boiler at 60C to prevent bacteria building up. Great video, enjoy your great van. Bye the way I live in Scotland, and there are no Dreamer dealers up here, just one rapido Dealer. Otherwise I would have went for your van.
Hi William, great comments, the screen came with the van after ordering insulated back door, so I don’t know where to buy one. I agree about the hot water and I also went for a diesel heater, but the Truma heating and hot water system. I will be having the extra socket under the table. Good to here from you, take care 😁👍
Thanks for the video, we have the Rapido version we collected last month; interesting to see how you are getting on. We had an extra 240v socket fitted next to the fridge, on the same panel, and I found it was better to turn both the sockets 180 degrees so the plug goes in upside down. Ours is also automatic, and I discovered the freezing feet problem on the driver’s side because the blanking plate fitted where the clutch would have been blocks the warm air. I have since removed this but yet to try it. Good luck with your new van! 👍
Great to see around your new van, beds look very comfortable. Can I ask for details of your toilet light please, what a fabulous idea. Enjoy your travels
cracking van - you must find it amazing with the space after the tiny pulsar. Can you get extra sockets fitted, Jim? Also, would love to know how you are finding the diesel heating? oh and that drop down protector shelf is genius - do show us more on that. .. safe travels xx
Thank you, the diesel heater is a Truma and is similar to the gas version, but a bit noisy when it starts and then quiet. Very efficient, hardly notice any diesel gone. It works on electric the same, level 1 & 2. I opted for this because the hype over not being able to get gas etc. Not as much room as the pulsar to walk around, but having the beds made up has made a big difference for us, the shower is really good with the false wall, but not as much room on the toilet as the Pulsar. I will do a close up on the projector in a video soon. Great kit for £90. Hope this helps, take care 👍
Well ...... at last I know now where to find the second 240v socket !!?? REALLY in the bathroom !! We've just got a new Rapido V68 ... aka your Dreamer, well done you two .... great minds think alike ! Interested in the sliding rear shelf .... innovation or what ? Where and HOW ..... please tell ? Great job you two.
Thank you, hope you’re enjoying your 68. I will explain the shelf in depth more in a video for you. The project is also great fun for us. Off to Europe in a couple of month that will be a tester. 😉😁😁take care Ian.
Great to hear from you ! Thanks for showing me where that second 240v socket "had been hidden" ... 240v in a bathroom indeed ??? This socket has now been moved and now resides under the table just above and to the right of the speaker .... alot handier ! Additional socket also added to the rear of the sink ...... be safe out there and enjoy your travels. @@jimandkay
@ianthomason8563 when reading the manual, it’s states a 240v around the table area, but we don’t have one. We are going to have one fitted from the dealer. Thanks for the info 😉
Is wel mooi , maar ik vind dat we inventiever mogen zijn in ruimte creatie. Chinezen en Dhz. Zijn zeer inspirerend. Ik vind hier nauwelijks mijn goesting.
Lovely van!! We have just brought a new Living Van. Is there any chance yyou could post a video on how the front bed is made? Your van looks the same layout as ours at the front.
@jimandkay Thank-you I'll ask my dealer to try get that part or see if I can get some photos to make something up. I'm assuming you wouldn't want to sell those parts?
i can see why you purchased this campervan the beds are a much better set up for you both..but the wildax was much better quality the bathroom mood lighting the oven the cabinets it had a wow factor about it ..
Many thanks to you both for the walkthrough of your new van. It looks absolutely stunning. I picked up on your comment Jim about not enough electric sockets, so I’ve told the dealer to add some more to ours. We’re really keen to see how you get on with it day-today and as the brighter nights and warmer weather (hopefully…) starts to arrive, and you can get out more in it. Many thanks again for showing us around. 👍
I don’t know mate. Was told Feb, then told March, but no one has any confidence in that latest date either. The problem seems to be with Peugeot building the base vehicle. Once that’s done it’s over to Dreamers factory for the fit-and-finish.
Please don’t quote me on this but our Citroen jumper( Dethless ) Ducato and the Peugeot all come out the same fiat factory just rebadged with small differences in equipment levels and motors a ford or a fiat, my jumper has a ford motor my berlingo has a Toyota motor and was built in Brazil 🤪 …. best van ive seen
Lovely van, but I will stick to my Consort Pace, superb video
Wow ive never seen so many gadgets before..especially like the glowing loo and shower wall
🤣🤣👍
Great van. It seems so big compared to our 6.3m Fiat with U shaped lounge. Thanks for sharing.
It seems smaller inside for room than our 5m pulsar, funny how the layouts make you feel when looking for space, thanks for watching 😁
Hi both. Thanks for showing us around your lovely van xx❤❤❤
Thanks June 👍
Brilliant little van. Really enjoy your channel 👍👍. Keep them coming
Thank you 👍

Yes, they are available off eBay under toilet lights. Hope this helps 😁
Excellent,
Lovely. Where did you get the cushions you had on the cab seats?
The gold ones are from Julian Charles, I think they are on the web. The brown seat protectors from the NEC show. Hope it helps 😁

@@jimandkay thanks Jim 👍 we went from and end lounge van to fixed singles at the back ...can't beat having fixed beds..less hassle!
Lovely van❤ Can I ask where you bought those number plates?
They'd be great for speed cameras and ULEZ 😉
They come with the van, Woking motorhome 😁

Hi again
Sorry to be a pest !!
Can you please tell me where you bought the shelf runners, what they cost and their length ?

Thanks for the nice comment. We have never used the front bed, so it’s all packed up in our garage. 🤤
@@jimandkay ok, I'm assuming it has a extra bit of frame that we are missing . Be so useful if we could make another bed!!
@1uke4eva yes we have a small mattress with half folded and board with legs attached. It will prevent route out of the van through side door. 😉
@jimandkay Thank-you I'll ask my dealer to try get that part or see if I can get some photos to make something up. I'm assuming you wouldn't want to sell those parts?
@1uke4eva I would like to keep them for the next buyer. I could take photos and sizes if it helps over the weekend.

Wildax are a good company with great customer service and quality vans. I hope this one meets with similar qualities. 😁👍

It’s about 6’ 6” there about 😊
