I just got a wig and I had one prior and I cut the lace way too short I’m gonna try your tips with the doing doing the scissors at an angle instead of straight across I have a really tiny hand so I’m not sure if the cut off a lot of the ear
Using small scissors definitely helps too! I show a little bit on how I cut around my ears in my video called "Stocking cap method -how to" skip to 5:20.

This is the Jessica long bob from Freedom Couture. I think having a flat part helps to make it look more natural. So after you wash the wig, set your desired part and let the hair dry like that. Then use a hot comb to further flatten the hair and maybe use some mousse to keep the hair down.

Haven't had the nerve to get one because I had one during cancer treatments and ended up just wearing a cowboy hat on my bald head. The wig was SUPER expensive natural hair. It stunk, was way too big, wouldn't stay on and I looked like a child who was playing dress up with my moms wig. I even went to a professional and it was a fail. There is SO much to learn...but my natural hair, after chemo, is so fine and thin.
No you don't have to :) I recommend wearing a cap, I feel like it keeps your hair from sticking out and it gives you a good foundation to wear your wig. But if its not comfortable, I know some people just braid their hair and then but the wig on top.
@@aliciaq70 oh yeah no need to do all that! I usually just put my hair in two regular braids and criss cross them in the back and then put a cap on top.
There is not too much you can do unfortunately but it does help if you add a lighter makeup powder on the inside of the lace and you can also add some on top as well to lighten the lace a bit.

I literally cannot find a legit answer online but from experience is precut wigs get weird in shipment plus sometimes the precut ones are cut very poorly and the wig is low key ruined

I def. want to know how I can afford a wig that has lace light enough for my white chick skin and not that really stiff korean lace that’s itchy. I’m losing my hair from meds or thyroid, who knows, but I can’t afford FC wigs for over a grand and it’s not like they take insurance. I look ridiculous with blonde hair but all brown hair wigs usually have darker lace or black roots. Maybe I should start a channel. Does FC give influencers wigs? There is a wig bank in my city but you have to be indigent or afford $1000 wigs, there is literally no in between. It is very frustrating. I wish they’d have a donate what you can wig bank…

If this not a medical condition you can try this Mix Jamaican black castor oil With vitamin E pills and the peppermint oil in a bottle that will allow you to put this on your Scalp Put this mixture on your head every day. When you were in the house make sure to do a hot oil treatment with this mix maybe once a weekI also used vitamin E pills when I had a bald spot which helped Grow my hair back. I hope this made sense if you have any questions let me know

1. Make sure you take ur thyroid meds at the same time daily 2. Take supplemental vitamins 3. Omega fatty acids 4. Google the “no no foods” for hypothyroids. You’d be surprised at the foods you’re prob eating that you shouldn’t like hummus. I have Hashimotos. When my hair begins to fall out- I know my meds need to be adjusted & I’m not eating enough fatty omega foods like salmon. Your hair will grow back. Also, being healthy through fatigue is super important. Find a gym class bc at least all u have to do in step into class.

What is the purpose of a lace front, if it has to be cut down to the hairline of the wig. The wig could have come with trimmed lace front right out of the box....
Dealing with a standard cap wig reveals a hard line integral to the cap’s construction. Lace front eliminates this portion in favor of a frontline of lace typically from around the ear all the way to the other ear. This allows for the wig to be glued on and creates a very convincing hairline sometimes indistinguishable from a beautiful natural hairline. 360 Lace wigs take the idea of the lace front wig and extend that all around the entirety of the wig, which permits the wearer to have a convincing back hairline (great for ponies, etc).
This might be a silly question but…Why don’t these wigs just come with the lace already cut to the hairline? What is the advantage of us cutting them ourselves??
well you answered your own question a bit 😹 everyone’s hairline is different and ear positions are different as well. so companies leave the extra lace on to save time and also to let people customize it to their needs

The lace front creates the illusion of natural hairline, so it looks less wiggy. If the lace doesn't match your skin tone, you can blend it using some concealer. :)
If you look very closely you will be able to see the lace, but if done right it should blend in to your skin and look relatively unnoticeable. If it doesn't match you can try to lighten it with some foundation powder or if its too light you can tint it with some lace tint spray.
This is totally off topic, and you should delete this after you get it because it's not meant to embarrass you, but have you gotten your thyroid/endocrine levels checked recently? I notice some similarities with you to what I was going thru last winter. Scratchiness In my throat which affected my videos and some other symptoms, I won't elaborate it's nothing bad. But like some swelling on my eyelids and the muscles in my face, idk, I just felt compelled to reach out to you. If you look up the symptoms, it might blow you away like it did for me. I had no idea. But everything kind of came together and made sense.

What is the purpose of a lace front, if it has to be cut down to the hairline of the wig. The wig could have come with trimmed lace front right out of the box....

Some people want to customize the hair line. So they need to be able to cut the lace around their own head.
Dealing with a standard cap wig reveals a hard line integral to the cap’s construction. Lace front eliminates this portion in favor of a frontline of lace typically from around the ear all the way to the other ear. This allows for the wig to be glued on and creates a very convincing hairline sometimes indistinguishable from a beautiful natural hairline. 360 Lace wigs take the idea of the lace front wig and extend that all around the entirety of the wig, which permits the wearer to have a convincing back hairline (great for ponies, etc).

Thats WAY to close to the hair line. The knots will begin to unravel. You need to leave about a 1/2 - 2/3 of inch on a wig lace

This might be a silly question but…Why don’t these wigs just come with the lace already cut to the hairline? What is the advantage of us cutting them ourselves??
well you answered your own question a bit 😹 everyone’s hairline is different and ear positions are different as well. so companies leave the extra lace on to save time and also to let people customize it to their needs

The lace front creates the illusion of natural hairline, so it looks less wiggy. If the lace doesn't match your skin tone, you can blend it using some concealer. :)
If you look very closely you will be able to see the lace, but if done right it should blend in to your skin and look relatively unnoticeable. If it doesn't match you can try to lighten it with some foundation powder or if its too light you can tint it with some lace tint spray.
This is totally off topic, and you should delete this after you get it because it's not meant to embarrass you, but have you gotten your thyroid/endocrine levels checked recently? I notice some similarities with you to what I was going thru last winter. Scratchiness In my throat which affected my videos and some other symptoms, I won't elaborate it's nothing bad. But like some swelling on my eyelids and the muscles in my face, idk, I just felt compelled to reach out to you. If you look up the symptoms, it might blow you away like it did for me. I had no idea. But everything kind of came together and made sense.
