- Come into ALDI with me see what I bought for a week of groceries for my family of 5. I always use items from my pantry/freezer as well. I share my dinner meal plan at the end.
Also, I do NOT buy my groceries exclusively at ALDI, but they're the first place I try and my favorite to shop at.
Recipes:

Cabbage and Noodle Soup (roughly, I don't use recipe):
~1bs bacon, fried - reserve grease (keep half bacon for another meal)
White onion chopped
Full head cabbage, chopped
-caraway seeds, salt and pepper (to taste)
Noodles
-2 ¼ cup flour
-5 eggs
Instructions:
-Add grease, ½ lbs bacon, onion and cabbage over medium heat
-salt & pepper
-simmer ~ 5-10 minutes all together
-add 3 cups water
-add tons of caraway seeds (use your heart)
-cook for ~ 5 minutes
-at this point can simmer or continue as timeline fits your day-
-add 4 more cups water right before adding noodles, bring to low boil
-Add flour and eggs to food processor
-Pulse to dough (add a bit of milk if dry)
-Roll out and cut into desired noodle shape.
-Drop into soup.
-Final seasonings with more salt, pepper and caraway seeds
-once noodles are cooked, serve!

The other day I made a shepherds pie. I had it for the first time back in my early 20’s. I made it for my family back then. I hadn’t had it since then even though I always wanted to make it again. I made it the other day. I should’ve looked up how to make. I can’t believe I forgot something, however, it was still good. After putting it all together that when I looked up how long to cook it. Basically I just throw what I had and wanted to put in it.

I pick up butter every time i go to the store and throw it in the freezer. When butter prices go up I have a freezer full
I buy a years supply when they are cheap around Thanksgiving. Really saves a ton!
I buy Kirkland Butter, four 1-pound packages come shrink wrapped together, for about $3 a pound. It is good butter.
I use Priano's cheese tortellini (smaller 8.8 oz pkg) to make Greek tortellini pasta salad. If I leave out the chicken, I have a veggie meal. Got carrots & made beef vegetable ramen soup.

Prices are Outrageous
I love aldi's but the fruit and vegetables go bad quickly we never buy the produce from there
But all the other items we love to buy👍

I like the price for the corned beef roast, however, I don’t like that there’s no seasoning packet inside like at one of my other grocery store in town.

Too bad you are the only one that eats corned beef! I make home made hash with the leftover corned beef.
