- My usual meal plan and grocery haul will have to wait a week. We're in the pantry and freezer wild west this week!
Come into ALDI with me see what I bought for a week of groceries for my family of 5. I always use items from my pantry/freezer as well. I share my dinner meal plan at the end.
Also, I do NOT buy my groceries exclusively at ALDI, but they're the first place I try and my favorite to shop at.

Tip for quick freezer organizing and knowing what you have on hand - buy large freezer bags and put leftover veggies, fruit, potatoes etc. with like items or just overall types of foods. All kinds. Will be easy to see what you have items for casseroles, soups, etc. and keeps your freezer organized.
Even if your family hates it, at the same time they'll learn not to waste food, which is important. I do this as well. We call it finger food night. I will throw together a bunch of random left over food that doesn't have much left in the bags or close to expiring & cook it all up & do a spread buffet & people just eat what they want & it always clears out with nothing going to waste.
Good girl! I could probably live on my pantry and freezer for 6 months. It’s just me though! It will make you feel so good. Thanks for recommending the dog food recipe. My chihuahua threw up last night. 😢.
Making tator tot hot dish is a good way to use up your 1/2 used bags of veggies. ❤️
Do you ever make Taco Soup? It is a great way to use up leftover meat and veggies. Easy to make in a crockpot, comes out like chili, and I bet you have everything in your kitchen for it right now!! ❤ Listen, I raised four athlete boys and two obsessed dancer girls, and we had lots of dinners like this, and they all ate it right up. I must have made 500 pots of Taco Soup over the years, and now that I make it just for two of us, I kind of miss those days. The days were long, but man, those years went fast! 👵❤
I do this often. I’ll take an extra $5-10 bucks and stock up on a specific item of the week (salt/pepper, canned goods, soups, tuna, oil, etc.). Then, I can shop from my home “grocery store”. This also helps when you need to clean out your fridge/freezer/pantry. Sometimes, I’ll take things to a food pantry if they are still in date and I haven’t ate any for a bit.
Please do a challenge and use it all up before you buy again. It will be so inspiring.
Cheese 🧀 is a food group all of its own. We don't waste it either.
P.S. I'm 43 & still love the "Hello Kitty" characters, too.

Also don’t use regular pepperoni for your pup. Use turkey kind But all pepperoni is bad cos it’s loaded with salt

I always look up any new food I feed my dogs. According to The American Kennel Club pepperoni is really bad for dogs. Even small amounts can be upsetting to their system. I'm not trying to be bossy, just telling you my vet recommended AKC since I have gone to an almost human food diet with my 2 little girls. They are Morkies. One of them has some triglyceride problems. Hers was VERY high and within 3 months I had it down to 99. But I had to do research on all kinds of foods. Fruits and veggies, meat and general foods. Again, not trying to be bossy. Just thought you might want to know.
You need to cook what you want and that is their one choice!!

I go through and inventory twice a mth andvorgonuze the freezers, then i know what i really need and can buy stuff to go with what i have and freezer chalkenge. I also have one or two fix it urself nights that helps use up the odds and ends

Pepperoni is not good for the dog. Just having stomach surgery and giving her something that spicy is dangerous. If she gets a stomachache it will be painful. Ham or turkey or cheese is a much better choice

Vegetarians can eat dairy, eggs, etc but vegans don't eat any food from animals, so no dairy like milk, eggs, butter, cheese.
