@@DashnerGuitars Have that same exact amp, right down to the handle. Although I don't have that kool alnico in mine. Instead it's the jensen c10r, like in a princeton. Eventually I'll put the p10q in it but prices are so high!
I owned one of these for about 10 years - definitely a cool little amp. Yours sounds better cranked up than mine, though - for whatever reason, I could never get much breakup out of mine - it stayed pretty clean at higher volume.
Got a '62 6150t and a '66 6151, they're basically the same except the 6151 has a bigger cabinet with a 10" speaker, they're a great alternative to the high sticker prices of a vintage supro
I have a similar Gretsch amp with 2 12" speakers. Have had it since the late 60's. Recently one of the 6L6-GC tubes went bad. I'm wondering can I just put in a new matching pair of 6L6-GC tubes, or do they somehow have to be "matched" to the amp? Two new tubes will cost almost what I paid for the amp 50 years ago!😊
Please do a vid on your guitars (maybe this one in particular?) ...but all your Tele are piquing me curiosity 🥸 (I wish you lived in Los Angeles like moi... I'm in the L.A. sub-city of picturesque Koreatown, halfway beneath madness and oblivion (by bus) (👀Moon equipped))
I liked the way it sounded at the beginning, played out loud and mic'd. But I really didn't like the way it sounded after he plugged it into the speaker emulator, something about that sounded painful like instant listening fatigue. Makes me wonder if I really don't like this amp, or if it was just the way he recorded it.
This the first tube amp I bought, back in 87’, and the only piece of gear I never sold or traded , other than my custom built Tele. It needs a speaker, so has been on a shelf for a few years. Does anyone one know what ohm the stock Jensen is? I am inspired to hear my sweet amp again.
Love that fuzzy cranked tone
Very cool amp and song. You have a great knack for letting your videos breathe and not just having constant narration an blabbing on.
Best video evahl!!!!!
Awww, you're too kind.
@@DashnerGuitars I have a '62 6150t and a '66 6151...those old valco-made amps are incredible...get 'em before they cost thousands

I love the tone and overdrive this amp kicks out, even with single coils. I bet it'd sound even cooler with humbuckers
Solder those speaker wires. One almost fell off in the video. OP transformer could blow if it falls off while playing. Sounds great.
That thing's a little monster. Amazing tone!

Just picked up a 6115 T today. Same amp with Tremolo. Cool little amp.

Looks like a newer Supro, sounds huge!
Parts of your guitar work sounds like Acid Aura, an artist who creates a similar dreamy sound. Love it

Very Interesting, thanks a lot !
I want to listen to your tracks!!

My bad. I had the "painful like instant listening fatigue" button engaged on the emulator.

The Jensen in mine measures 5.3 ohms.
@@DashnerGuitars thanks, I just received a new 4 ohm Jensen. I will be installing it and wiring a new grounded plug in the next few days.
👏🏽
sounds like the who
Hi great video. How loud is the amp at breakup ? Bedroom levels?
