- The First Descendant, a looter shooter similar to Warframe and Destiny 2 - Is a game i've played for more than 200+ hours this month & I have alot to say about it. This is not a review, but more of a "thoughts" video.

If you pay to skip the grind you are done with the game, because there is nothing in the game but grind.
Let me explain it this way: If you think those prices are outrageous, consider this. Here in Brazil, our currency is worth almost six times less than the USD. On top of that, international taxes are applied after any purchase. Nexon has the audacity to make a full conversion from USD to BRL (Brazilian Real), so everything in the store is priced the same as in the US, just converted to BRL. But our money isn’t USD. For example, the Ultimate Premium Pack of The First Descendant here costs the same as two months of my rent, and my rent is relatively cheap in my city. This should make it clear to anyone who thinks these prices are fair-they are not. For Latin American players, these prices should be reduced to a third of the USD equivalent, and even then, it wouldn't be cheap-just more affordable.
Geez that is just wild... I never even considered how much more pricy it could get for certain places outside of the US.

But let’s say for example they were to actually reduce the price for our friends over in Brazil.
Then players living in the USA or Europe will make an Xbox, PS, or PC account in another country like Brazil where the microtransaction prices are reduced by a 3rd of what they’re worth in their actual country where they live.
Nexxon loses out on money and it’s wayyy harder for them to track, punish, or ban players who decide to do that.
I’m sure some players would say “who would even do that!?” but there’s a lot of people who make PS accounts based in Switzerland (while living in other countries).
Just because they get to play newly released games several hours (or even a day) before its launch, due to how time zones work 🤷🏽♂️
@@Kixsanity This issue has already been addressed by Steam, making it impossible for people outside the country without a local credit card to access these benefits. Steam also offers other solutions. However, it's important to remember that one thing doesn't equate to another. In my opinion, it's unfair that those living in Latin America can't benefit from reduced prices just because some individuals might try to scam Steam or Nexon. The correct approach is not to block access for those who genuinely need the reduced prices but to punish those who exploit these benefits. Penalizing everyone for the actions of a few is not the solution. It's a sad way to think that punishing bad behavior should take precedence over fairness.

I completely agree with your sentiment! And would be happy to hear Latin American players get reduced pricing.
There will always be those people who will find loopholes or exploit certain things. For some of these companies i guess it’s just easier to make restrictions to avoid any risk of losing money. Than to go the extra mile, calculate currency exchange rates, and implement ways on how that system isn’t taken advantage of.
It hurts me every time I hear they don't adjust prices for other countries. I know why they don't, I don't agree with it, but I understand it.

@@greendroid77 FOMO (fear of missing out) create timed events that force players to play at that exact time(daily, weekly...) time gated events or content. Like a skin that you can only buy this week or it's gone forever, they create scarcity on a digital item or event in order for you to play their game everyday so you don't lose interest. After all of that, it's harder for you to quit the game because of the big investment you've made (time and money).
8:54 Nexon did announce that they were looking into a "pity system" about a month ago. They might have already implemented it, which might be why it only took you 250 hours to grind all those characters when it previously took an average of 200 hours to grind *one* Ultimate Descendant.
Huh, wouldn't they announce that they implemented it in that case? I'm thinking of a pity system you can keep track of, sort of like in most gacha games.
I don't recall the average ult taking 200 hours for each one, I've been playing since day 1. I do remember a story on some guy getting all of them in about 200 hours though.
The reduction on infiltration timers was definitely a huge help though, no need to instance hop to try and find a timer that wasn't reset at 5 minutes, I'm not sure we have any new information on known updates like the pity system/trading/shop for copies of materials
Was it possibly a hypothetical analysis of drop rates?
@@MrHulthen They said something along the lines of "we're looking into a system that increases the drop rate of rare items after you've completed a mission a set number of times without getting a rare item" but I don't know if they've actually implemented it yet. They were talking like they were going to implement it sometime before the Season 1 patch but I'm not sure.
if they have a pity system they have to implement it asap. ive been grinding out crystalization blueprints for 3 days now and i only got 2. even the gley part dont even drop but the gun parts always do. the crystalizer bluprint is at 20%. TWENTY FUCKING PERCENT. its so frustratingly dumb.

Let's get something straight here 100 is for a bundle not a singular skin
You can just get the 50 dollar bundle for the character,skin,and slot
Or just grind the character to get the discount for the bundle
These are optional purchases if you buy that's on you because I grinded for most characters and only bought 3 because I personally enjoy those play styles
To those worrying about time of getting characters stop take your time play when you want to the game isn't on a time slot chill out
Yeah agreed, but at the same time, this has been the most expensive game for me personally in years, since I'm such a sucker for those cosmetics. 250 euros now and about to buy another 100 euro pack because I'm already out of caliber... probably for the next batch of cosmetics I want, since they're just not in any way unlockable and are genuinely expensive.
I haven't spent anything on any boosters or items. Only skins and 2 cheap char unlocks. (Viessa and Enzo, because they "felt cheap"... probably much more than I realize if I'd calculate the amount of dollars tho haha)
Still, I used to spend amounts like that on smoking weed and cigs for aaages and I quit that 10 years ago, so might as well put money into things I enjoy in other ways. Even if these purchases too will go up in smoke whenever they pull the server plug.

@@yung_1174 Oh I haven't put anything in that was needed for something else. Just adding a point on how ridiculously expensive the skins are. Funny how way back when Bethesda sold a 2,50 dollar horse armor everyone thought it was expensive. Today you can't find a skin in any game that would cost that. :D Oh but I have a therapist and we talk about more serious things than this.

I'm sitting on 34 catalyst blueprints and 12 energy activatoes with 15 catalysts built and 4 energy activators built.
Use that time they're crafting to farm more. It's super easy and fun to be stocked up. Farm the spots where you get the mats to make them and you'll unlock those ultimates and be on your way to victory.
but almost everyone doesnt understand that. i'd prefer craft 3 catalyst at the time for 22 hours. its so annoying to log in each 7.5 hours just to make 2 clicks
also you get much more activators than you can 'make them worth used' with catslysts. It looks like they have to reduce 7.5 hours to 5.5-6 time craft. but again id prefer multiple at once with long time craft

Well I got 1 energy activator drop in the first 233 hours of playing. Was not due to not trying. Luck can be thing that makes or breaks your progress.
@sarcasm-83 I got 3 by accident throughout my 400 hours farming all the ultimate descendants and luna.
The prices are more than average price. That said the longest part of grinding for an ultimate is getting to and geared for hard mode. I used Bunny to get all the materials for ultimate gley and valbey, it took me 3 hours or less for gley and about 6 for valbey as I had to open a single material 46 times
Boulder Gate 3 had full on playable nudity on the PS5! 1st descendent and stellar blade dont come close. We always forget about BG3 awesome nudity for some reason
I think it's more noticeable in Ascendant & Stellar Blade because the player characters always have alluring outfits. The BG3 nudity is mostly only noticeable in romance cutscenes or if you choose to run around naked for some reason, but yeah BG3 is definitely less "PG" than these games overall haha
Skimpy outfits are arguably more gooner than just plain nudity
Why would you buy the 5000 calibers pack when there's a cheaper one at 3000 calibers (55€) with the character, alternate skin plus extra character slot?
"Unapologetic" with the design is SUCH a RELIEF.
11:00 oh man, 23hrs ain’t even that bad. BL2 has 2 different bosses, Triple O and Vermi who have low drop chance for their weapons on top of having a a low chance to even spawn. Which you can only do through little rituals where you have to let enemies level/power up like 4 to 5 times all whilst trying not to die and maybe they turn into the Mini/Raid Boss the last evolution. Actual weeks I’ve spent farming and grinding those 2. But I tell you what, I treasure their loot and hold it tight like no other.
tbf Ultimate Valby was pretty easy to get compared to some of the other ones, mainly because i got lucky. Each other Ultimate took me atleast 3-4 days to get
Once you reach hard farming becomes decently easy, Ultimate valby is super viable as a first ultimate and supply moisture with a crit gun makes her super viable for all endgame bosses. Meaning that once you hit the hard difficulty it's waaaaaay faster.
I was generally ok with the games RNG system and just kind of accepted it until I learned that in the beta, the shape stabilizers for the amorphous materials used to let you pick what drop you wanted rather than just increase drop chances.

Good thing about this game is everything is grindable. Ive gotten every ult descendant just by grinding. You can technically p2w but you are still forced to go through the slow and tedious lvling process over and over just to build a unit
I have all the ultimate descendants in the game and 250 hours in it in total. I believe lower the price of an ultimate descendants would completely ruin the game. They have to be expensive so that they are worth the grind. If I can buy one for 20/30 dollars, why would I ever farm 10 hours for a descendant? Once you are this far in the game you can farm an ultimate descendant a day which is ridiculously fast. Thats just my thoughts.
Frrr , and honestly I feel so good about myself knowing I unlocked the descendants instead of buying it , I would feel disappointed if I did
2 days to unlock, 1 if you're extra persistent to get ultimate bunny.
I unlocked all but 1 ultimate character through farming in 1 week, but decided to go back yesterday and finish that one and he's done too.
Ultimates are not just a skin, some modules that change how the characters play are only available for Ultimate versions.
Same mind. Another thing is their strange if not absurd loot table for some important items like the energy activators and crystals. Some people get heaps of them while grinding other stuff, while others spend weeks grinding to not get a single key item (5% chance and 15-20% chance respectively). They should definitely try to make some kind of pity system otherwise it's downright unplayable if the person is unlucky. Personally I've played for a month and got only 1 key item for Energy activator, for instance, I don't think that reflects 5% and even if it does it just makes the game impossible for me.
I don't go to the store. Ever. Been taking lots of breaks lately. The grind has worn me down.
i got 300 hours and almost all the ultimates except viesa and got like 6 energy activators and 32 catalyst so u can play free to play i bought 10 slots for 10 bucks wich i think is fair
Fair criticisms on what they're charging and the overall gameplay loop. I don't condone it, but I can't say I'm surprised as someone who's played a lot of NBA 2K in the past years. Some of my friends wrote the game off after the first couple months. I still find the game fun and wish they would add in a trading system instead of reaching for your wallet like that
You can get Ultimate Bunny with that skin for less than 100, that's the deluxe package with extra stuff. FTP means the cost is elsewhere with grinds and the nature of the genera. They are listening and moving pretty fast on changes which is encouraging. They are adding a trader NPC to ditch your extra materials to buy other stuff and sounds like it will be in season 1.

To be honest I have 3 ultimate characters, all 22 ultimate weapons, 13 descendants and dozens of energy activators without spending any money. I got ult bunny in a few hours. I don't know if I'm just lucky or not lol
It took me a atleast 3 days of grinding every waking hour to get her, so yeah - You're lucky :D
Took me a week to farm bunny. You are not the norm.
Problem is, the chars slot, you will need to choose wich one you keep and wich you dismiss, maybe they give on future ways to get free descendant slots (at least i hope)

@@kamenriderfr yah, why I'm hoping they'll add a online player profile expenditure like in destiny cuz I know people lyin. One of my buddies said he only spent a couple hundred on destiny 2. Added up the silver on his profile and it was like $940.
I can't believe Nexon, famous for preying on children with Maple Story, would do such a thing! I remember grinding for a week to get a glass shoe in that stupid game years ago. Nexon has zero shame. Relatable Joe Pesci moment. lol
Honestly I don’t mind the ultimate characters being a grind but when it’s 10000x harder to get 1 gun maxed out then to grind multiple ultimate skins that really doesn’t make sense and it’s hard to get a new player in if they are going to spend more time grinding for the enduring legacy then they will getting any ultimate they want
You can buy ultimate bunny for half that 5000 caliber bundle just comes with energy activator 2 catalysts and back bling and spawn $50 for the ultimate character and skins alone tho
It took me a week to grind out Gley Mommy, one day to craft components, and two days to craft Gley herself. At that point, while I waited for Gley to craft, I began the farm on Viessa. So maybe it's because I have an odd amount of patience. Also, as of today, they've added quite a bit of new stuff for this season. But I agree, there needs to be more mechanics so as not to waste your time. I have so many crafting components for characters I don't need let me dismantle shit for important components or let me trade, FREE MY INVENTORY SPACE DAWG. That said, I will say one good thing. Something Warframe needs to do. But if you own the ultimate skin or the descendant on a package in the store. The price adjusts ACCORDINGLY to the fact you own a part of it. That is 100% a good thing that I don't see enough people acknowledge. The price gouging is still a lot, but progress should asl be acknowledge as you stated. So hopefully, pricing is adjusted in the future. Because I legit enjoy this game and want it to succeed, I want to support it, but it needs to not gouge me for money. That said I will shamefully admit to buying two ult bundles. FORGIVE ME THE WHITE RABBIT TEMPTED ME.
The only annoying thing is the amount of Lepics, Bunnies, Viessas and many others that I have to pick up because of poor builds every freakin time I go into a public event besides that, those that have played or have come from warframe know the deal. and no they aren’t pushing you to use your credit card. I’ve got almost all my descendants with activators and have grinded for all my descendants except for 1 which was ultimate Gley. I’m sitting on 35+ catalyst blueprints and get activators on a regular basis. Every 30 amorphous with energy activators attached to them will yield an average of 3 to 4 energy activators. The hardest thing to grind for are the weapons to get them maxed with a 5 stack. Buying one ult descendant is basically the price you would pay for a triple A game and lately those aren’t even polished enough on release date to play
I agree with your ponts in the video. I've been complaining about nearly the same thing in Warframe for years as well.
Imagine spending 4 times what a normal descendants costs for a part that just upgrades them...
the title perfectly describes my thoughts on the game it is very fun but some stuff especially the bosses are very annoying not only you have to deal with the boss and their shields plus you have to deal with endless waves of normal enemies on top of that
Think about all the people (including myself) who actually spent time farming for ult bunny. It better be 100$ when some people spend weeks farming that character. If anything it shows the true value of a players time and effort into earning a character than throwing a credit card at it. Besides you’ll feel better earning it.
Also i got soooo many energy activators and donut pieces just from this grind. It’s almost like the game was designed this way. Btw 14+ donut pieces from grinding ult bunny and at least 3 energy activators
The prices of Ultimates include another skin, a slot, reactor, catalyst etc. but if you already have the Ultimate the bundle price decreases. I think they should make the extra available separate because it jacks up the base price.
Personally, i mostly care about more Stash space so i can store my god rolls. Cosmetics are not a priority for me but goddamn do i want that "Apex predator" ult bunny skin. But 20-30 dollars for a skin (i've grinded ult bunny) is still outrageous. Hope they'll start doing discounts.

I really enjoy playing this game and like the gameplay loop but I do hope they can adjust these prices I did buy a skin for bunny and the battlepass but I hope they can see that the prices are egregious
I finished the grind for all characters today. Finally got my last one: ultimate ajax. had no gold left from all the ultimate weapon crafting so that is tomorrow. I find the grind very annoying and did it alone. Got 1 gun part from gluttony. Thats the last ultimate weapon part i need, to have all ultimate weapons, so grind for parts, but multiplied. As a solo player, not looking forward to that
lets say lesser the grind. you get your desandants and weapons in hours or few days. what to play next in the game ?
Leveling is super easy also. I do block kuiper mining and level to max in 4 runs having a blast doing it.
This is way less boring than the alternative which is leveling 1-40 in 15 minutes or less at a crystal constantly aborting a mission after killing 55 enemies in 6 seconds.
The power difference comes in build making transcendant mods that can ONLY be equipped on the ultimate descendant

while just like you i do enjoy what the game has to offer i do think the cosmetic system can use some polish and better pricing because people WANT to get cosmetics and differentiate their descendants. im sure they'd make more sales with a more reasonable pricing scheme.
however i dont care that an ultimate descendant bundle is hella expensive you could go grind the looter shooter for free and get that ultimate or pay up to play the game less i think that is you choice to make.
interestingly enough when you grind out the ultimate the bundle its sold with gets its price reduced by 2000 caliber so an ultimate is only worth around 16 pounds n theory to the company, so when you buy that hundred dollar bundle youre mainly getting robbed for cosmetics which is just weird
Isn't warframe's prime characters which is just a mirror of the ultimate characters in TFD charge about the same price? 😅
I think prime access for the latest warframe is at least $80 to at most $120 but I could be wrong it's been a minute since I played warframe. I don't see it as a big a deal since warframe price their ultimate characters the same way personally.
Also Nexon for TFD did it a step better than DE and Warframe. The price gets reduced in TFD if you have the ult for the extras, in Warframe if I already got the prime I get a useless dupe for full price with the extras...
Sorry to burst your bubble but warframe prime access has way more value than ultimate descendant bundle. With 140$ you get:
-1 prime frame (1 ultimate descendant)
-2 prime weapon (2 ultimate weapon)
-1 orokin reactor, 2 orokin catalyst (3 energy activator)
- prime accessory (1 helmet, 1 armor set, 1 cape, icon)
-90 day exp, resources x2 boost
-3990 platinum (equivalent of 185$ if you buy the 4300 platinum bundle)
So yeah don't compare monetization of warframe to TDF, warframe always win if it come to monetization. TDF is a good game but with this kind of price tag it won't win over any warframe player

But lucky get early drop the ultimate lupic and ultimate ajax [ ajax is abit pain to get the last part ] and ultimate valby too for some reason.
if me, i go for that 3000 caliber [ 55 usd steam ] , you get ultimate and skin and slot.. energy activator can grind it is more less pain vs grind a Descendant...
the accessories backpack is not cool and do not use it anyway... i do want that spawn effect but nan.... unless is hair or face markup in the ultimate package.
Agreeing with the title. It's a very fun game but some of the drop rates ruins it, but that can be improved

Been grinding for 4 weeks to get ultimate viessa. it's actually boring me now, roll on space marine 2.

The prices are not even bad there are games that make you pay 300$ for a skin you can barely even see cough cough apex sword

nexon should realize that they will earn more if they lower the prices of skins and pay for convenient contents.
Then the whiners will shift to saying there is nothing to do in the game now because they have everything already and the game is only 2 months old. You're never gonna win with modern gamers. They always want more for minimal effort, then cry about not having anything to do. People always complain about prices in game stores, but they fit into 2 categories, either broke with infinite freetime, or working and has limited playtime. People that tend to lean into broke with infinite freetime tend to cry more about stores being expensive. Meanwhile people that work and have splurge money just buy what they want and play when they can.
All Ultimate Bunny has to say is..."I bet you wish your GF was hawt like me". Ult Bunny is the BEST model and class in gaming history.

Nexon has the 3 % to 10% drop rate on ultimate characters and catalysts on purposely .
I understand they need money to run the game but it isn't right to get people frustrated by their sneaky clever tactic to get players to spend money for overpriced items or to buy items because the drop rate is slim to none getting the item.
I have been playing day one and I haven't got one UD. I have been farming for UD gley and it just doesn't drop because the drop rate is slim to none chance getting it.
This is why I say sneaky clever tactic because they are trying to get you to buy them UD version

$60 for the character and increase the drop rate because it's so disrespectful.
Those things are common in almost every eastern game (and free) for some years now.
The games are beautiful with great potential.
But all those confusing and money milking things makes me walk away after a while.
I just want to play and enjoy a beautiful game.
Don't have time to spend on all those confusing and unnecessary things.
I can understand charging players for cosmetics and things that are not vital for the gameplay.
But all that is just....no dude.
I played Vindictus for many years so I'm well acquainted with, erm, well-defined characters ^_^'. IMO friendships formed in Guilds are what keep people playing and when my besties dipped to go play BDO and invited me to their guild, I went. They left BDO too, but I stayed because I made more friends there. Nexon/DevCat is making a new Vindictus on Unreal 5, but playing in the Alpha stage is harder than the original T_T. Mabinogi/Vindictus was ahead of its time for Souls-like games. Plus the physics were incredible. It allowed you to devise innovative ideas to 'off' a target, like picking up barrels or rocks and hurling them at a target's head to stun it.
This First Descendant game seems like Nexon has taken their worst practices to a new level for greed. So that's a hard 'no' for me.
I always wanted to try Vindictus but could never really bring myself to do it.
It's pretty absurd how far they've gone with the MTX stuff & it's my hope that they'll pull back on it abit (which is very unlikely cause' they're making bank)

To be honest, I never even got past the tutorial for Last Descendant. It felt like I was getting into another Destiny, and with how predatory the devs' monetization practices have been I wouldn't have been surprised if they forgot what "free to play" means like Bungie did with Destiny. In hindsight, I'm glad I stuck with Warframe even if it has room for improvement (DE for the love of god please significantly drop the crafting time for warframes, hell have crafting times in general make more sense)
nope. it's fully FTP. you can grind anything and everything int he game. you don't have to pay a dime. But...the game has to be paid for, so the shop is there. I know peeps who have a lot, most or everything..no money spent. then there's folks like me, with some money to burn, at the time of release and I dropped some.

you still have to be fcking lucky to get all the ultimates after 250h i'm 150h in and have only ultimate valby ( i bought her ) i can't seem to get any drops only for the none ultimates i'm bombarded with xD
Bro, fully maxed out Valby use her for mobbing. I got ultimate gley within like eight hours. It’s crazy how much ultimate valve saves you on grinding.

At least the male characters are just as good looking though they need more skins. More skins and we can say equality has been served.

Its a fun game, you can farm every character for free, and you can get max gear or fully catalysed characters as F2P (Fully catalysed character meaning its maxed out in gear). But IDK if they will change that and make the game P2W in the future, However If they do make it P2W, then the game will die out so fast, It's not a smart move for the long run.
-The reason why the game is very successful is because the game run well and almost bug free, and It have interesting characters and design, And variety of playstyle and builds, It's in fact F2P friendly for now, Again IDK if they will get greedy and f**k up everythig, Also the game have a lot of activity and things to do, That's what keeps players engaged. That's good for new game to have already lots of content at launch.
Indeed. The game has tons of potential & i really hope they do something about the prices, timegating & absurd grind because as of now, these are the only reasons i'm not playing it as much the past few days.

The one time a studio finally punches wokism in its ugly vicious and weak face and send it KO, and then trip on its laces with absurd micro-transactions. At this point, reverse the marketing strategy to what it used to be before, please! Make it free online accessible, yes, but set a price to the game to buy it in exchange of those transactions that the gaming community need to get rid off (thus, develop a worthy playable, studied and persevered title to actually enjoy before releasing it). A Monster Hunter approach would be fine enough, with the base game, as just said, fully playable and enjoyable after purchase, and A (!!!!!) DLC in the future to furtherly expand, in quantity AND QUALITY (!!!!), the experience given. Looter shooters gets all annoying as this game is and should not be supported anymore barring a different good approach on them by the developers, but for some reason, many are starting to realise this through 'The Descendants".Even the "best" ones of this kind, or that have similarities to it, suffer the same fate.
And if it's not possible to come up with a way to bond this marketing strategy to an online service game, take notes on where the best ones that have come before you have succeed and failed, History is Extremely Powerful when acknowledged, not refused, when studied, not neglected, for that is the way to bring the best of it forward, and learn to avoid the same mistakes over and over again, which are all made because of ignorance, by the way. In this gaming context, take example from PSO2 for instance, in which the grinding issue it's treated a little differently there, and with more concessions from the development structure, although it still needs a lot of refining; or Star Trek Online, Or NeverWinter, or as the ones quoted by Hulthen). To be honest with you I think the first descendant is just a big ass cash grab all together no pun intended well maybe a little bit but at the end of the day the fact that the price of energy reactor I think that's what it's called but the price of it is really outrageous I think it's around $20 but paying $20 forsett item is kind of crazy when you can't reuse it so for example let's say you're new to the game you get a regular Valby or a regular bunny or you pick one of the chewable starting characters and you kind of don't know any better and you Max that character out but you really like the character so you buy this $20 item that boost your energy capacity so you can put more modules on then you find out later on there's an ultimate for set character now you want the ultimate you get the ultimate once you get rid of the old one or base form you just lost that $20 and I'm sorry but spending $100 on a single character is over the wall for me I'm going to use Warframe for example literally they have a great balance of either farming out of character you're purchasing set character you don't feel forced to buy and you don't grind out crazy in order to get the character and I definitely should know because I've been playing Warframe for years since it dropped on console so Nexon should probably really think about this and dial this s*** back some because even myself I am getting pretty bored of this ridiculous amount of grind and stupidity of having to go from one spot to the next to possibly farm out some void shards some spots don't even give enough of them and do this continuously boring-ass grind for these void shots to then use them on keys that I already had to grind out for to beat a boss to possibly more than likely not get what I want repeat that horrible process over again it is a dysfunctional amount of gameplay in farming it is stupid and truthfully I don't even think the drop rate percentages are representing the true drop rate of some items I know there's been videos out that say it's about right you just have bad luck but at the end of the day I'm still calling BS this game might die out for me after Warhammer hits
bro i hate oversexualized characters or their skins but the game itself is more fun to play than Destiny 2
Complains about the store being predatory with prices, then proceeds to show you own 100s of $ in skins... How is it predatory when most of the store is just cosmetics, and you can't even buy weapons. Ultimates are easily farmable and you don't have to "buy" them, unless you have the impulse control of a toddler. I swear people just love talking down on this game for stuff that isnt even an issue. At least you did bring up that build crafting does exist, ill give you that.

Fr though I thought the same about the grind when I first picked up this game but now that I’ve gotten used to it I enjoy it. Gives me something to do while I wait for more story.
Fun fact: if you grind out and craft your ultimate descendant, it shaves off some of the pricing of their bundles.
This game is my current hyperfixation and there’s a lot I love and hate about it, but for a free to play game? Not bad at all. 😌
Also I like Support Luna over DPS Luna. If I want to play DPS I’ll play Valby. She’s far less annoying than Luna, who - like Bunny - I dislike from a lore standpoint. I like Luna from a gameplay standpoint.
Bunny is fine but i'm a Viessa main myself
Also Luna needs to have her support abilities buffed & part of me feels like she needs a redesign because she's just not as interesting to play as any of the other Descendants (aside from Bunny lol)
The only thing this game is guilty of is that is very boring, I mean the story of the game is pretty much stupid, I guess people don't play this game for that but when I tried I couldn't play it because of that, I don't really care about skins I just want good story and gameplay and this game gameplay isn't enough for me to keep playing
