Yes finally!! This is the one I've been waiting for! I absolutely love potsupotsu and harahara so much. I think those are two I will actually pick up and both names are so fun to say
I try not to order from the states I know I don’t have custom fees for Yoseka but other shops I’ve tried I had to pay as much in custom fees as my orders lol. But…I’ll check them out, I mean if I end up with a bottle that last me a couple years it’s probably worth it. Thanks for taking the time to respond 😊
I love purples, darker shades pop so nicely on the page.. mmmm I also love Private Reserve Ebony Green. Loving this series! A Hamilton is a great ink! Also Diamine Monboddos Hat, similar family.. love the look of Potsu Potsu here.
Thank you so much for this series. Love all these swatches! 😍😍😍 it’s beautiful to see them side to side and compare. I’ve been wondering about the pen bbs purple, I really like it! Thanks again for your video! ❤️❤️🤗
I’m absolutely enamored with dusty shades of inks and am so glad you include them in your swatches along with the brighter ones. I have Harahara and, not being satisfied with just one muted purple, have added Herbin Pousierre de Lune and R&K Scabiosa. 😅
Hi!! I 💜 this series and want to thank you for putting in so much work and time to make it! Just to let you know, I audibly gasped when I saw how nice and bold the lines were when you used the dip pen!! What is the brand and where can I get one of my very own? TIA! ✒️
Thank you! I got the pen from Atlas Stationers it is the J. Herbin Straight Glass Dip Pen www.atlasstationers.com/products/jacques-herbin-straight-glass-dip-pen-vert-pre (I have a discount code with them if you want to use it, it is DANIELLE10) 🥰
This page is so pretty~ (my favorite color ♡) Definitely gonna shop some of these! As a brand new to fountain pens, I found Hara hara quick and its my daily writer, but I'd like to try some of these other ones. That grape ice pop is GORGEOUS!!! I know you asked for French help, but for "potsu potsu", it's pronounced with a long "oh" 🫣 I hope that you still enjoy to say it tho~
I have a love hate with dark purple ink. Im trying them again now i use more broad nibs but when i was an EF user. Every single dark purple just became black ink (even the lamy dark lilac from yesteryear that was an Internet sweetheart)... As a purple lover it frustrated me over and over.
That is so interesting! I haven't seen the lamy purple ink you mentioned but I want to look for it now haha. I will say some of the more blue leaning dark purples do show up a bit black at times. I prefer medium nibs myself 😊
Thanks for these videos, I’m new to fountain pens and inks and videos like this are really helpful. I’ll be going back and watching all of them. Looking forward to what you do in the new year.
I so appreciate your close-ups of the inks at the end. That actually super helps, and I wish more people would do that! I have a couple of those inks, but I definitely see a couple more I wish I had!
I think it is a pigment ink. It doesn't say on the bottle from what I could find. If you are able to order from Birmingham Pen Co in the U.S. they have some great dye based inks!
Other Dark Purples: Colorverse Pillars of Creation, de Attramentris Tungsten Purple (almost black). I really like Poussiere de Lune. The color changing properties of some of the sailor Yurameki (sp?) inks, like Dategokuro are amazing. Completely different on different papers.
I love you selection of dark purple inks. I am so happy I found your channel. Love that you do all of these ink samples of all the different colors. I only have purple inks but after watching several of your videos I am ready to branch out, all because of you! You are really awesome! Thank you so much! Keep up the awesome videos!!❤️❤️❤️
The dark purple I have is PR Ebony Purple, and lies down black, and dries deep purple. I recall De Atramentis Aubergine aka Alex Hamilton is dye based. Their Document line of inks are the only pigment inks they offer.
Do you have any Wearingeul ink samples? I think you had something in your reds, maybe Dracula? Anyway, I just got the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde set and the Becoming a Witch set from my husband for Christmas and I’m really interested in seeing more inks from this company. I enjoy your videos tremendously!!! In fact, your ink explorations are my favorite!!!
Thank you so much 💖 I have a few of the Wearingeul inks, but not a whole lot. I am working on getting more collections from different brands but it takes time haha.
Lovely collection you have there and I see why you like Alexander Hamilton so much. Diamine Damson is another classic dark purple and Kyo no Oto No.9 Sakuranezumi is a nice one, though very dry. Kaweco Summer Purple I'd also put in the dark purple category.
These inksplorations have made me realize what a newb I am when it comes to fountain pen ink 😅 But, I also have a greater appreciation for the properties that you show us in each and every video. I need all of the DeAtrimentus inks in my life, they were my favourite from all of the videos so far. I will also dip my toe into some of the Sailor and Ferris Wheel Press inks as well in the new year. 💜
Do you happen to know if the Pilot purple is the same purple they put in the varsity pens? I used to have one of those and I loved that deep purple! Thank you for doing this series, I've found them incredibly helpful!
Have adored your ink exploration videos! Congrats and looking forward to where you go next with inks!
Thanks so much! I'm excited 🥰
Yes finally!! This is the one I've been waiting for! I absolutely love potsupotsu and harahara so much. I think those are two I will actually pick up and both names are so fun to say
Great choices!! The Harahara has a fun shade to it for sure, and I love the "coolness" of the potsupotsu!
Monsoon Clouds colour is stunning! Would love to write in this ink! 🖋️
You should! It has such a fun shade to it!

Thank you!! I love learning how to say them correctly so yes it is still very fun to say 😊
I like the J Herbin Amethyst d'Oro. I think that's what it's called. It's my favorite purple
Oooo thank you for mentioning that ink! I haven't heard of that one :)
There are 3 wonderful dark purples you’re missing, Lamy Crystal Azurite, Robert Oster Dark Chocolate and KWZ Brown Pink.
Thank you for the recommendations!! I will check those out :)

Is Alexander Hamilton a pigment or dye based ink? I'm looking for a purple like that but I don't want a pigment ink.

I have the Shikiori Shigure in an extra fine TWSBI ECO Rose Gold and I love it. To me, it looks like a purple-black.
OOo! Thank you for sharing!

I'm not sure. :( But I would think it is likely similar!
Yes..I love these
Yaaaaayyyyyyy 🎉
I would say of al these, only 5 are purple.
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
