Honestly, if you made a poster of these two pages, I would buy it to put on my wall. They’re just so calming to look at, and quite inspiring. And for a purple lover like me, quite satisfying. 😍😌
Haha thank you 🥰🥰 I have debated on doing "scans" of my pages. But I"m not sure how they would look printed since printers don't always print true to color. Maybe I will try it out!! Or just make them digital downloads 🤔

Could you do Inksplorations for shading and sheens? I love shading for art so getting to see assorted colors shading effects near one another would be great! And sheen is so wild at times, seeing them close would be so helpful.

All three are gorgeous! The Persephone has been so fun to play with. If you want Hades too its a nice black with blue purple shimmer 🥰
The L'Artisan ink called Lilas is actually named for what they call Lilacs in Brazil. It is actually the color of the Lilas in Brazil. Different flower. Quite accurate! It is pronounced Lee-Loss in Brazilian Portuguese.

I'm an artist so I use inks for painting (and of course for writing in my Hobonichi Techo) and I love those inks. A lot of them separate like granulating watercolors and those are my favorite inks to use. Like Sailor's Fujimaka, how it separates into pink and purple and blue!

I’m on the search for a lilac purple ink! I’m so glad you did this video. I have about 17 ink samples (including several in this video YAY! Including the Vinta, FWP, & Van Diemans inks here on your page ). I am exploring light purple inks and hoping to find my go to Lilac-light purple ink... I currently have bottles of Sailor Harahara & R & K Scabiosa that I have been using for a couple years for my go to dark muted purple inks.
So far I’ve ordered bottles of Sailor Shikiori Yozakura (on my wish list), Sailor Ink Studios 252 (on my wish list), and Robert Oster Viola... 🤞I can find my go to light lilac-purple ink when my 17 purple samples come.

It’s Diamine Monboddos Hat and I love that in some pens I get that sheen and in some it’s just a rich dark lilac.

When Papier Plume Violet is wet, I think it's a dupe for Krishna's Mountain Breeze.

@@mydandeliondiaries Unfortunately, when the Papier Plume has dried down, it loses the luminescence that Mountain Breeze has when it dries. Very difficult to find Mountain Breeze because it has apparently been discontinued by Krishna.

My favorites... hmmm. I'd have to say Violet sea snail, Sydney lavender, Persephone and Taccia. I stay away from Noodlers and also 3 Oysters due to the tacky and dry time. I have a bottle of 3 oysters green (first bottle I purchased) and it is a beautiful green but I had to leave my planner open for three days and used blotting paper when I needed to turn the page. Very sad.
Great choices!! I haven't had the tacky from 3 Oysters but I haven't tried a green from them yet. I would be disappointed too if I had to leave my pages open for so long!
I love all your videos! It is nice to get your take on the colors and see them in writing also. My only complaint is that when you go over the dried swatches, the page moves so much and it makes me dizzy so I have to look away.

Beautiful colors. I love your mix of Violet sea snail. When I am mixing ink, I find that it may not always be exact and I am perfectly fine with it. Plus sometimes I purposely add a little extra or less of something to see what it looks like. I have KWZ Berry inked up this month and I am loving it. I really do like KWZ inks. I would like to get some samples and play with mixing them. Thanks for sharing. Even though I voted green I am happy to see purple too. ☺
Oh thank you! I like that the possibilities to mix inks are endless! KWZ is such a fun brand, I have KWZ Grapefruit inked this month and it is such a bright happy color. Green inks are coming soon!!
Knew this was gonna be a good one when the very first ink you swatched had me going wow :P Kobe 56 is gorgeous! I like the cool leaning purples most. How do you find foxglove? Does it sometimes feather or bleed through the paper? I have been having trouble with the TMI on the new tomoe river paper. Wow that colourverse ink literally looks like a flower with that sheen! So pretty.
Glad you liked it!! Foxglove doesn't seem to bleed or feather on any paper I have tried it on. I find the new TRP to dry a lot faster so if you want to "color" or double up on writing it has more ghosting/bleeding.
If you haven't tried Kobe 57 yet, it's my absolute favorite ink. It's got roughly the same chromoshades as Foxglove (maybe a little softer), plus the wetness of the Kobe line.

I LOVE the sydney lavender and violet sea snail! I've been looking everywhere for these shades of purple with no luck. Can you recommend a similar purple for me here in the UK please?
I will do my best but they are pretty unique!! Monteverde Birthday cake has a similar purple/blue to the violet sea snail but is brighter, Robert Oster Purple Jazz is a darker version of the Sydney lavender, and Robert Oster Summer Storm is grey purple like the Sydney lavender but a little bluer. Honestly they are really hard to find "dupes" for. Since I'm in the states I don't have any recommended retailers that are in the UK :( but maybe someone else can reply with some good ones!
HI! Thank you for this video. I'm a fan of purple inks. Have you ever tried Diamine Majestic Purple? I'm wondering if it's not a bit like the Waterman tender purple.
Yes I have! I don't have a sample of it anymore, but the Majestic Purple is more of a red purple with some darker purple shading. The Waterman Tender Purple is a bit more blue in comparison. If you like ink blogs, here is a great post on Majestic Purple by Mountain of Ink 😊

I was surprised by how pretty Tender Purple is. It ended right up on my wishlist. ☺️ Hopefully Rainbows End will come out soon. It's stunning! How long will it take from being in the Inkvent calender to being bottled? 😇🩷🙏🙌
It's so good! Tender purple is a very reliable purple. For the Diamine Inkvent full bottles I'm not 100% sure when they would come out. Based on previous years, they come out around the summer months (July-August)
