You haven't done Guinevere, Our House and Helplessly Hoping yet. The first one is a Crosby song, the 2nd a Nash song about Joni Mitchell, and the 3d one (not the same song as Helpless) is a Stills song with the most perfect harmonies ever. It also wins the prize for most alliterations in a song lyric ^^
Guinevere is so beautiful. As is My Lady of the Island and then the video of them doing the Beatles' song "Blackbird". Their acoustic music is the best.
Same here, 55 years ago this month! I can't believe it's been that long. Nothing today compares to their overall talent, musicianship and especially their harmonies.
Love CSN for their writing, musicianship and wonderful harmonies. Makes me nostalgic for times and people past. Thanks Shawn for giving us a place to share music together. Blessings to all.
Stephen Stills imo was the most talented of these guys musically and writing. He also has a real soulful whiskey voice that real fit his style. You really need to review the first Manassas album Shawn and his first solo album called Stephen Stills. I think you did Love the One You're With off it already. But the songs Old Times, Good Times with Jimi Hendrix, Go Back Home with Eric Clapton, Sit Yourself Down, and Black Queen will not disappoint. I guarantee.
You have to hit “The Treasure (Take One)”, a recorded live jam, off the debut album “Manassas”, Stephen pulled together a great band and wrote some of his best songs for this one.
Are you sure Neil Young is visible on the cover?, I no longer have the album, but seem to remember it was actually Dallas Taylor, who also played on the album.
You should have listened to the live version off the 4 Way Street album, it’s so different from this version. Steven gets political and it’s just him singing no others helping him out. It’s worth comparing the two songs.

I love their harmony…CSN was so darn good thru the years.👍💜☮️💜
Steven Stills :
“LOVE THE ONE YOU’RE WITH “
One of my favourite CS&N songs. Thanks Shawn!
"Our House" is another great song by CSNY that I think you would enjoy Shawn!☮
My suggestion would be any CSNY song you haven't covered yet. :) I've loved these guys ever since their debut at Woodstock!

“SOUTHERN CROSS “
wow great sounds , instruments and great harmonies!!
You won’t regret listening to this one!!
He's already reviewed this fabulous song.
Stills played ALL the instruments. And produced. Consider that. 24 years old.

Good good stuff brother...niceee ☘️🇺🇲
Love this song, might be my favorite on this album.
YOU FOUND ANOTHER EARLY ONE HUH??? 👍😊

SS is playing the bass. Organ. Percussion. Acoustic. Lead. All of it. Wrote it. Arranged it. Produced. Sang lead.
Don't think I have ever heard this song from them. Such a wealth of CSN music. Don't forget to check out Crosby's collaboration with some big names.
Like CharCanuck, one of my favorite CS&N songs. The laid back vibe of the time. Harmonies are amongst the best
❤❤❤
For something very extra, listen to David Gilmour’s live version of On an Island - his backup singers are Crosby and Nash - great song!
That original album cover, 3 of them-on a couch-on a porch, folded out, displaying the other half of the porch with a screen door and Neil Young.
Are you sure Neil Young is visible on the cover?, I no longer have the album, but seem to remember it was actually Dallas Taylor, who also played on the album.
@@jameswiglesworth5004 I am going to do a search - No, I am never sure and as the years fly my errors grow
@@jameswiglesworth5004 I stand corrected; it is Dallas not Neil - there may have been discussions about it, 50 something years ago
So long since I have heard this one.

Fantastic first album (and one of my first acquisitions). I love the group...but I am partial to the genius of Steven Stills.
Not their best. Everyone always thinks of the many other songs that they had big hits with first. But the older I get the more I appreciate it!
Great song & reaction! 😀 You would love their song “Marrakesh Express!” 😀
My favorite album of all time. I fall asleep to it almost every night.

“MARAKESH EXPRESS”
another great one !
What a great album! Never can get enough of their harmonies
Great album closer to a very classic debut album.
Is this CSN's answer to Paul Simon's 'Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover'? Or the opposite?
Simon’s song came after this one.
Please do Possession by Sarah Mclaughlin best quality is live afterglow concert, thank you
