1:30 -- Totally with you on: 'lasers don't show up in broad sunlight'. Even green lasers (I've tried laser pointers) only show up weakly in shadowed areas.
On *video games*, the lasers always show up just fine and the bullets always go right where the dot is because the bullets do not simulate real-world fluid dynamics interactions between projectiles and air, nor projectile tumbling.
Laser aiming devices are useful in tactical, short-range situations for obtaining a proper sight picture (lining up your front sight with your rear sights) under duress. However, in situations like these, Danny has plenty of time to aim carefully using the sights and his intuition for projectile behaviour -- something a laser can't replace.

@Jimmy Kimmel people are just mad they wont show the laser sharks using their minds to project the projectiles. Cuz youtube terms of service go against psychic laser sharks

    That last message...
    Dear Taofledermaus,
Thank you for those words. But let me address you with the same words. In these strange days, as a loyal viewer, I want you to know that whatever you need to do to keep yourselves safe and healthy, I will understand. If that means I have to wait a while for an outstanding and humorous examples of what YT was always meant to be, then so be it.
Best wishes. And know I'll be waiting on the other side to see each of you.

I bet that it cut the Kevlar because of the sharp/square edge on the front of the slug.
Behind the gel it had obviously slowed, so it didn't do it, and it had no backing.

For the lasers, they actually have shell shaped laser pointers that you load into the gun that give you a direct point to sight off of

UA-cam: show 4 year old content as recent feed. Me: goes to actual page and finds this from 3 days ago. Keep them coming Jeff. Hopefully after this situation is over I can be a patron. But being able to relax and watch some cool ideas is a godsend right now

It is a good news to know Danny is a part-cyborg because Chinese scientists say cyborgs are immune to this new coronavirus!
This is the downside... When you are making an unstoppable slug - it is damn hard to stop it!!! :)
Very surprized how much it was deformed after lead plate impact.
    Thanks for filming these!
    Stay safe!

Copper has great abilities, even though it's a soft material it can penetrate hard surfaces. Works even better in the Moulton Form. Great video. I need a lathe..

Laser sights are ok for body mass size shots at a set distance +or- 5 metres. I have mine set on an air rifle for 35 yards used in conjunction with a mildot scope and torch. I use the mildots and the laser dot for easy night ranging but I never bother in daylight.

We used to have a similar slug in Australia once upon a time. It was a ribbed copper slug, slightly smaller in diameter encased in some sort of resin.Rather than having the flat nose it had 5mm flat tip coming out of the centre of the flat face and the ribs were much deeper cut. it was a great slug. i was given 10 of them from a friend who was too scared to use them. All the box said was Australian hunter, but could never find them in the stores. Great video guys, keep up the good work.

I think that it went through the Kevlar because it was propped up against a relatively hard target. If the backup was a bit more squishy, I think that would have engaged more fibers. If you've ever sewn anything, picture trying to drive the needle through limp fabric (previous tests with the panel) vs putting a bit of tension on the fabric, the needle slides right through.
