Agreed man this movie is so much better then SING because of how much more classic it is a movie that deserves the spot light once again for it's time to come back should come stick together and bring back a classic movie that deserves more then what it got it deserves people that believe in the movie itself
This movie is seriously underrated. It's not a masterpiece, but it's still a good film with great animation, wonderful songs, fun characters, a good plot, and a nice background. It deserves more attention than it gets.
yeah i just got into this movie! and i'm 14 and i even have a job XD i'm not sure if anyone else caught this joke..... but in the beginning when Danny and Sawyer are entering the movie making aria there is a small group of chickens wearing barrels, none of them have feathers, and one of them says "one more plucking scene and hoey!" XD i caught it right away not sure about any of you

Love precedes the pride. So it's not a misplaced pride to say "nothing can stop us". And also... okay... its "with a little history". Now tell me how that line would make sense. The guy that took the time pasting these lyrics is correct.

I discovered this movie because my mom used to go to Block Buster and rent movies for me and this was one of them, and I am SO GLAD she did because if it wasn’t for that I would’ve never had this movie as a kid. It’s truly a hidden gem of my childhood.
I love the fact I got to see this as a kid, and now I got to show my husband, he enjoyed it so much, he bought it so we can watch it with our future kids
I'm so glad I was reintroduced to this movie, thanks to Nostalgia Critic. I haven't seen this movie since I was like 6 years old. I took people's words for it, and bought the movie off itunes, and I love this movie now more than I did as a kid. It is such a good movie. I was going through some depressing stuff lately, and this movie really cheered me up.
I love this movie, thankfully I've passed the love onto my kids they watch it all the time. This song always makes me so happy and I can't help but sing along
"Can you feel the power now, the day is ours, for you and I, there comes a time, to hold our heads high, Make a little history each time we dare to dream." Best part of the song, I wish my family would hear this song and hopefully see my point of view of where I want to be in my life. Because I make a little history each time I dare to dream
I watched this movie when I was extremely young and im still in love with it. This song is amazing, the artist are outstanding. Song is "Our Time Has Come" by James Ingram feat Carnie Wilson.
When my little boy was still in a high chair I watched this thousands of times it seemed. I remember it from when I was a kid but then my little boy watched it over and over and I fell in love with it all over again. Now he is 8 and him and my 6 year old daughter live with their mama in North carolina. Listening to this again puts a smile on my face I can still see him eating those little puffs I miss them a lot but this song makes me feel closer to them I love you guys!
For the past couple of years, it has been such a depressing road...........Then I remember this song tonight. :') This really lifted my heart and a part of me is back
I do feel this movie's underrated, It's timing, songs and voice acting are all solid. Hey, what can I say? it's a fun movie, Plus I was pleasantly surprised to see a certain name listed in the credits.
Much like Danny, the main character in the movie, I want to work in Hollywood. It's a king road and I've often wanted to give up, but this song gives me hope that there is a spotlight reserved just for me.
This movie is kinda like Zootopia in a way. Think about it: The main characters (Judy & Danny) leave their homes to fulfill their destinies. But as they are doing this they get discouraged, mostly by the deuteragonists who have been weighed down by dreams (Nick & Sawyer), but that doesn't stop them. So they try to prove that they can do more than what their told or expected to do. Soon the deuteragonist and some of the characters that discouraged them start to have faith in them. And in the end, they succeed in something and have proven that they can do anything and that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and never give up.
Many stories/movies follow this writing pattern. It's been used in every cultures ever since humans could tell stories about courage, dreams and hope. There are variants in the form but not in the deeper meaning.
Yes! Also this movie is a wonderful critique of classic Hollywood’s pigeon-holing of second class citizens, i.e. people of color. In this film, animals are treated as second class citizens and have very poor representation in the film industry. They are limited to certain kinds of rolls and not allowed to deviate from that typecasting, thus “Cats Dont Dance.” As a kid, these criticisms on classism/racism that were so pervasive in classic Hollywood went right over my head, but this film has always stuck with me and I have come back to it again and again over the years and gleaned more and more meaning from it as I’ve gotten older. I think Zootopia did a great job as well at tackling a lot of hot button issues today like classism/racism/sexism/gentrification but in a way that is accessible to a young audience. I think that’s great and I hope we see more children’s movies like “Cats Dont Dance” and “Zootopia” in the future. Our society needs it.
omg The memories this brings back. Way back when, when my little brother and I, no matter how much we might've disagreed on anyhting else, we always agreed on the shows and movies we watched. This movie was one of those that seemed to bring us closer together, as we'd sing the songs together and reminisce after the movie was done. I will forever hold those memories near and dear. I love this movie so much!
Omg so much nostalgia with this movie!! I remember when it first came out in '97 I was 9 years old and I loved it so much and so did my sister who was 7. We both still love this movie to this day.
Okay this is one the best songs my ears has heard it has so much soul and heart that just melts your heart and makes you want to sing and dance along I was not born in the 90s I was born in the 2000s I wish I watched this earlier then when I did
I grew up in a very small town in northeast Georgia, population 500, with a little one-room video store. They had this movie right after it came out and my grandmother rented it for me once. I was hooked. We kept renting it over and over until the store closed around 2001. Nobody had it except Braselton Video Store. My ex wife and I bonded over this movie years later. So much has changed since then. She and I split up in 2020. We grew apart. That town now has a population of 12,000. My grandmothers house is no longer there. This song floods me with nostalgia and I cry just about every time I hear it.
I wasn't born in the 90s (99) but my dad showed me everything from his childhood. And when I was around five he showed me all the stuff from the 90s. So I don't care I'm considering myself a 90s kid
I wish people would realize how AMAZING this movie is.
LordDante85 Exactly.
Joey Baseball *only 90s kids will remember this*
Would anyone want it as a broadway musical?
It's not that we don't realize it, it's that we missed out seeing it. I didn't know this movie existed until a year or so ago, and I was seven when it was released. All those years...never knowing.
Yeah me too, but Warner Bros took over Turner Entertainment and didn't give this movie enough fanfare.
This song goes TOO HARD, and I'm here for it. This movie is SO underappreciated.
you know a song is good when it randomly pops into your head 18 years after hearing it

Jesus Escobar A Troll in Central Park was the worst movie in the 90's.
It feels like this film was destined for so much more. This would not have been a box office bomb had it gotten the advertising/promotion it deserved.
This would be a GOD-TIER graduation song
This song still kicks ass in French-Canadian:

There is a 90s revival happening, I am sure. Starting with the grungy side, but they'll bring the fun side back, too.
Love this song and this wonderful 90s film. I have been watching this movie since I was in preschool. Brings back a lot of great childhood memories :D
