This is his realization that he cares about her more then she ever did. She can easily move on and forget about him while he is doomed to remember and hurt after she leaves. “Is that all you need, to merely pretend to be falling in love with me again” that line hurts because I know that feeling of being dragged along by a woman because she liked the comfort my presence brought her more then she actually cared about me. And realizing these things can be extremely painful
I know the exact feeling... More recently than I would like to admit...
@@UncleTrebor it's not always women that drag the woman on....my past experience is enough proof of that. However, it is in A LOT of country songs (and they wonder why I don't like country) 😂😂 I'm sorry you are going through something, but hopefully this experience with Sleep Token will help you. It took me a while, but I finally moved on and found my forever..... wonderful MEN and WOMEN DO exist 😁..... But I was healed up by the time I found ST. But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate what Vessel is going through. I've been there. So hopefully by the end of this trilogy, you will have bonded with Vessel to relate to his songs and beyond.

@NikkiWright-STLVR23 You are completely correct... Both men and women are guilty of all the things for sure. And I can also say that I was pretty much healed before I found ST but the new language I have found to describe that journey of healing is transcending. And I will use it to help men and women escape the prison in their minds.

She has moved on. Her leaving is recurring and expected by now. This song is both Vessel realizing this, and to a point calling her out, but then still elevating her onto a pedestal. "Will you levitate where I wont reach you?" is him basically giving her a pass. She is above him. She is more than he is, as she ascends "up where the angels inhabit". This is how he accepts her leaving, she is a devine being and he is just...nobody.
I can see that... But I raise you a "In becoming divine we tangle endlessly" from I think TNDNBTG? I think they are both trying to reach that place, but he def puts her above himself as most men do.
@@UncleTrebor I don't disagree. In TNDNBTG, when he says that it's a goal. They'll be together once he achieves divinity, the state he holds her at. In Euclid, it's bitter sweet. He's finally reached a higher place "for me", not for her. So now that he has finally reached the place of "ascension", he knows they'll never be together.
Well we haven't gotten that far yet so in the trilogy but we will!

@@UncleTrebor yes sir. Also another way I approach this, there’s something within each of us that shapes our relationship to the world about us. Almost like a spirit, perhaps even is a spirit. Several spirits. A spirit of the past a spirit of the future. A spirit between men and women. A spirit between men and men. A spirit specifically around love and hate and hurt. I think this is what vessel is aiming at here. He’s reassessing his position in the world. It’s not exactly about someone else. He’s trying to find who he is. Where he is. This is akin to the path of wisdom.
