💯 Rain and The Apparition are the sleeper hits on this album. Like, Ascensionism and Take Me Back are huge cinematic stretches. Those 2 songs are short, Moody, and poignant.
I love how music can be interpreted in so many different way! I think when Vessel says hijack heaven, he is describing what it is like to have your happiness taken over by the bad experiences of his past. Like when he is in a good headspace, having peace from the everyday struggles, the negative memories flood in and ruin his high. So his heaven is being hijacked by his past.
Personally, I think the line “ Let’s make trouble in the dreamworld, hijack heaven with another memory” means that he yearns for the “heaven” he has in his mind, this relationship he has with this person that may exist only in his mind. Vessel has great memories with this person, but that’s the only place that heaven exists, in the past, or memories. In the present, those fleeting moments feel like a ghost, or an “apparition.” He’s coming to grips with the fact that the good times with this person are in the past, and that it’s time to move on.
No matter what I do, this wound will never heal. Why are you never real? The shifting states you follow me through. Unrevealed . Just let me go or take me with you. I think these are the hardest hitting lyrics that Sleep Token has laid down. The emotion Vessle has in his voice. So damn AMAZING.
My humble interpretation of hijack heaven with another memory is... To take another way or chance to create an event which doesn't belong to a current present in order to enjoy it for a last time. Heaven (dimensionally speaking) holds the access to past or future that doesn't exist in our 3d dimensional existence. There's a lot, there's a lot with them guys. Glad you boys joined us in this magical journey we call life. WORSHIP🖤
All of the songs on this album tell an overarching narrative of vessel learning to let go of somebody he loved. All three albums they have are actually part of that narrative. "The Apparition" is him having dreams of that person he loved, now gone from his life. His pleading of "Just let me go or take me with you" is meant to be him saying "i don't care what happens but make it happen." Its what happens just before the healing finally takes place and the albums final song Euclid is vessel finally letting go
I believe this song is about a lost loved one who visits him every night and in his dreams where they hijack heaven together to make new memories. He's afraid to let her go and he wishes he could take back some of the things he did to her in the past. When he mentions the suicide frenzy its kind of like coming back to reality and realizing the loved ones that he has lost due to suicide including her.
What I've heard and how I'm interpreting this song is Vessel (the singer), dreaming\having a nightmare about a past lover who ended their own life (wake up to a suicide frenzy) and him using this nightmare, even though it hurts to remember that past lover (hijack heaven with another memory now). But your interpretations are amazing, applying the lyrics to life and letting it help you grow!
Another great reaction. You are correct that time does not heal the wounds, but rather, you learn to live with the pain. It becomes a part of you. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️
What i think vessel is trying to say with "hijack heaven with another memory" is that Sleep only appears to him in dreams. Hence why "why are you never real." In ascensionism he mentions three eyes. The last one being the third eye, showing how spiritual he is. In the spiritual world you can change memories to the point where you can see the changes of it in your reality. So i think what he's trying to say is that bes trying to change his memories of sleep so they can be altered in his life too
I always felt like hijack heaven in a dream world was him dreaming about the good times and only experiencing that version in his dreams, hence why are you never real because it only exist in his dreams
@@UncleTrebor a quick recommendation, I know you’re trying to go in order with Take Me Back to Eden first, but I highly suggest you listen to the first song, “The Night Does Not Belong to God” off their first album, Sundowning, and then listen to Euclid! You’ll see why and it will make Euclid all that more special! 🙌🏻
Before you play Euclid, you should listen to The Night Does Not Belong To God, the 1st track from their 1st album Sundowning. It marks the Beginning of their trilogy to the end being the last track from Take Me Back To Eden and it ties together so good.
14:10 hijack heaven - either enter heaven unofficially, or derail heaven with another memory - when he remembers this woman & what happened with her, it either makes his day or ruins it completely
13:19 that’s why think the end point of the relationship as he said in take me back to Eden reset my patience violence like that’s how a bad it’s gotten
To hijack heaven with another memory means he wants to play the dream where this person and him are together again so they can make trouble in the dream world. Or thats at least what i get from it. Ive had dreamed where i try to get myself back into the dream after i woke up.
@@UncleTrebor Also alot of ppl missed this one due to its name not saying Alien..but "Prometheus" also a banger. By Ridley Scott. And Alien "Romulus" coming this year if i spelled that correctly lol.

@sigmarieti8 this isn't a fan theory, song credits are available online and Vessel1 and Vessel2 are the only ones credited. vessel's vocal range is astonishing and he's a beast when it comes to hitting high notes
Alot of people believe that most of his songs are about the sleep godess but that isn’t true. In vessels only interview that he has done which was in 2017 and through emails, vessel himself refers to it as the God of sleep and several times throughout refers to it as a he, never godess and never she.

Does it ever cross either of yall minds that , even though he uses words connected to the Bible, he’s using them as a metaphor? If I say I am fighting my demons, are you thinking I am actually fighting horned beasts? It’s a metaphor. But what trips me out is that yall curse, refer to music that a Christian shouldn’t be listening to, yet it’s ok for yall to “ cross the line” but pass judgement on others? I so hate western Christianity, yall pick and choose what is “ ok “ in God’s eyes when scripture tells you no, this isn’t ok for you to be doing as a believer. Actually, it’s sad to see this from professing Christians.
