♫ The Beatles in Paul's glass bubble, St John’s Wood on 28 July 1968

- 📷 Paul's sunhouse at the end of the garden, with it's the seventh and last location of the Sunday 28 July 1968 photo session led by Don McCullin. Paul sat inside, next to his dog, Martha; he was then joined by Ringo, Mal Evan'ss son Gary, and the over Beatles. The session ended with all four Beatles perching on top of the polygonal panes of glass while being photographed from below. The fifth - and longest haired member, is Martha, Paul's Old English Sheepdog.

These are great pics. Amazing that they managed to get a few shots of John without Yoko in the frame. Probably trick photography.
God, Paul. I think he was the most beautiful man I've ever seen. I wish John didn't look so angry. I guess Yoko was staying outside. George looks wonderful! White album pic. I always thought Linda too most of those.
I was gonna say, John looks PO'd probably because they didn't want Yoko in their pics.
a lot of reasons John couldve looked that way.. was towards the end of the beatles, maybe was sick of cameras in his face etc. 100% right on Paul.
I don't think John looks mad. He didn't always smile...neither did the others.
@@mongrelhead1 I agree. I don't think John looks pissed. He can look angry often but this shoot he seemed contented mostly.
The Beatles photos with good music is heartwarming to every beatles fan and like how the views are increasing day by day
Martha seems quite at ease in the presence of greatness.
Woof!
Superb photo collection! Taken during 'The Mad Day Out' sessions. Photographer Don McCullin and the lads had tea at Paul's and began shooting in the biodome. So many of these photos have been used for album covers. Both official and unofficial. Great lot of pics, Elena, thank you.
Astrodrome old pics from books album covers etc
Wow! Mostly just hanging out with Martha. Such pensive looks. Thank you Elena! You are a treasure!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had never seen so many pictures of them in the Zen House before . I heard it was also called Glass Onion. And some are quite amazing.
When they are on top of the bubble they are like kids playing in a park
The Beatles’ 4 faces should be engraved somewhere like Mt. Rushmore.
Was just thinking how expressive their faces are. Incredible the story told by each fac, each look, each expression.
genroku7 ....sorry but there isn't a Mountain big enough!......it would be better if the moon could be sculptured into the faces of the Fab Four!....Imagine?...✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
This Photo Session it's just a Real Treasure from the Fab Four!!
Thanks Elena of the BEATLES*
Magnifiques photos d'une époque bien lointaine désormais....Merci beaucoup Elena !!! Bel été !
“ hold your head up you silly girl”.
Amazing photos, Dear faces and "Martha, my Dear", Paul's defender and support. Every owner is like his dog. Марта здесь на равных и они с Полом похожи, от них веет грустью, любовью и добротой.
3:43 White Album poster :-) Great photos from the Mad Day Out sessions...thank you for posting!
Wow!😍 Beautiful photos, a real treasure, thank you Elena!
Enjoyed watching💕! Loved Martha and the glass dome. Cheers!

Inside Paul's polygonal meditation - reefer- dome ! 😋
Fantastic! Pure magic ! 👌
Those were the days...
Greetings from 🇩🇪 to 🇬🇧
Thank you Elena! Once again you charm us with beautiful photos of our boys ..last pic. Great for album cover.
Old pics don mcullen took late 67
The fifth Beatle: Martha.
Probably Yoko Oh-No... (okay I’m out..) I am not a Yoko Stan
cliff I mean your wrong
I thought about writing it. LOL
Great photos with The Beatles beautiful
Martha with a natural Beatle haircut. Lol
Why? Drugs and music is not enough.
Taken at a time when geodesic domes were popular. As were the Beatles. Only one of the two is still with us!! thank you, lovely pics, they seemed to enjoy hanging out together.
So much fun, thank you.🎵🎶🎸😌
Thank YOU, Elena. Very enjoyable.
Hello! I'm glad to read your comment on my channel again.
This is my very favorite part of the Beatles . The mad day out is just fab !!! And I have ben to London to see were they were in shooting all of this !!!!! Great video and thank you for doing this and God bless you !!!!! And be safe ok :).
I'm so glad that you and your Buddy enjoyed this video. Good health to you.
You did just great on it :"}}} !!!! God bless you too :).
You are a National Treasure!! Thank you so much for this
Ancient in lots of beatle mags
Más.mas y más fotos realmente fantástico. Gracias Elena
Un repertorio impresionante gracias elena esta música es inmortal 💚👍
Nice pictures Elena but they all look so sad. Another year and it was all over.
Maybe they were just tired. It was the end of a long day running around London with Don McCullin.
MARTHA 🐾🐾💕
This is another first! Thank you, Elena!
These pics freely availble everywhere
Great ! 👍 Never seen most of these before, and I am one of their biggest fans …. If this was July of 68, then this would have been before the arrival of Linda - she came over late September of 68. I never thought Yoko was a bad influence on John, she opened him up to explore things he wanted to do, but was always too afraid or insecure 😟 to try on his own.
She gave him the confidence he needed, in a soul mate . 😍😍.
Thank you Elena for posting, simply beautiful, as always. 💞
As stated BEFORE ALL THESE PICS ARE COMMONLY AVAILABLE IN BOOKS. LINDA A JEW WAS TAKING PICS DURING PEPPER MCARTNEY WENT TO NEW YORK TO SEE HER IN GREEN ARMY COAT HAS A LIKING FIR JEWISH WOMEN .HIS CURRENT WIFE IS JEWISH.
IF LOOK A MACCA PIC IN SAME JACKET AS PEPPER LAUNCH DAY IS IN IN MANY BOOKS LINDA TO THE RIGHT WASNT IT 1967 ?
Awesome pix...
Before the Beatles I don't remember ever seeing any pop singers smoking (Paul Anka, Frankie Avalon, etc) , with the Beatles then seen smoking in pictures, movies, and promotional films. This had a big influence on me to smoke cigarettes. In this photo session, it looks like Paul may be indulging in a different kind of smoking. They look very tired in these great photos. Thanks again Elena.
The two creative n adventurous Beatles - best buddies, 6:15
Cool pics Good find
Thanks for the information 1987 storms where really bad still the dome looked great 🙏
Wow!! Very cool! I think a couple of the photos wound up on the poster for the "white album."
I'd never seen these pictures or knew he had a glass sphere/atrium at that house. Thanks for posting.
Hope you are safe.
Young and beautiful boys. Long time ago.
That was absolutely fantastic Elena! Thank you so very much my dear friend for sharing your so incredible work with us in your most exquisite way!
I am very glad that you have been following new videos on my channel for many years.
The picture at 6:00, priceless. George easily could have modeled if he wasn't a musician. This was also the day the Beatles did the photo shoot called a " Mad day out". Should have been a Rad day out!
It wasnt same day im sure
Ringo is bluishhhh! Yellowest lol ...love these pic.
Solo con talento y buen gusto musical se puede hacer buena música.como solo los beatles pueden hacer . bravo beatles 💚👍😘
These are the BEST photos I've seen of them. Great Job!!! But damn, John. Did you always have to bring that person with you? Were you that insecure? She was like a dirty blanket. And this being '68, you were probably just separated from Cyn. Gotta give it to Yoko. She was going to have you no matter what. The stress she was going through at that time. Sad!
1:57!!!!
GEORGE!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
When the Beatles came along i whas 10 yearrs old
Thanks for this I’ve always wanted to see this dome in Paul’s garden does he still have this dome it sums up the era and I like the boys in it Martha is cute too 🙏
No...it was damaged badly in the 1987 storms, repaired, but got rid of not long after.
Thanks for telling me about the dome 1987 storms where really bad
🙏
@@vsmicer I'm shocked it even lasted that long. Ya gotta wonder what he used it for after the Beatles stopped being the Beatles?
@@worschtee1 somewhere to have a wank & to write some Wings songs 😂
@@worschtee1 For whatever he was using it for before the Beatles stopped being Beatles, I guess. It was his garden, his dome, not a Beatledome. (Wow, I just invented a new word! Now I just have to think of some more sentences in which it could be used....)
George was so attractive ❤😊
Elena good photos. Yeah
Love Ģeorges pants ❤
I can't believe it! No Yoko around! Yoko must have given Lennon permission to participate in the photo session!
raul macias look again ; 1:21 oh no yoko
ELENA , TE AMO SUA LINDA !!!
Hiya, Sneakers 💓💓😎💥💥💃
This was great, Thank you! What was that music??
"C'mon, lads, now that we're higher than an elementary penguin climbing up the Eiffel tower, lets crawl up on the outside of this thing and stand on the glass windows." Other Beatles: 'Great idea!'
Anyone know if the dome has survived to the present day in Paul's St John's Wood garden?
It didn't.
No sign
For many reason, it's much better to have Martha on the Picture, instead of this person yoko oh no.
I love the mad day out picture, all of the beatles look great, especially Paul and George. I always thought the little boy was Julian, but i read in the comments that it was the son of Mal Evans.
John, George and Ringo are devastated in this photo. How sad ... What happened to Ringo's eyebrow?
@cliff Yes, suffering and pain is visible. Poor boys
Yeah, because Paul died, Billy Shears was just bored.
@@dwashington1333 Billy was and still is a perfect idiot. Paul doesn't deserve to have his memory tarnished by a guy like Billy.
@@yvonecosta1406 Yes poor millionaire's
@@yvonecosta1406 Billy is just one of many, who played the character of the fictional Paul, the same method was used on the other members they were all freemason actors playing a pop band..
I am Italy and Canadian
they look like they're just done with it all.
Hello how are you w the Beatles for evere
Dear Martha, the more I understand the Beatles, Paul was the brains, John the soul, George underrated and great guitarist, Ringo nice bloke won the lottery.
George Martin was the brains until Billy Shears came on Sgt. Pepper's.
I've always wondered, is this above or underground ?
Above ground. There is a Japaneses meditation garden leading to the geodisc from the house. It's still there.
I wonder if the glass bubble is still there?
No
What song in the video?
Where is Mal Evan'ss son Gary? I didn´t see.
1:22 (fragment)
1:33
Paul's face when he realises he just smoked too much of that spliff, that'll teach him not to bogart that joint my friend.
Martha was the 5th Beatle here..
"Martha in the bubble with fleas."
Less than a month later Ringo left the band
Who's better looking Martha or Yoko??
Who belongs to the little dog at 2:51 ? Mel's ?
Paul's
It´s Eddie
The month Jane was completely gone from Pauls' life.
Whatever happened to Paul's dog Martha ? Did the other 3 Beatles have any pets ?
Billy in Paul's house.
From what country are you
Good old England
alice cooper claims he and groucho marx sent him a round mattress for the meditiation room. mid 70's
Dies that glass bubble still exist ?
Not sure if it's true but seem to remember hearing back in early 70's Paul's glass bubble was a gift from Groucho Marx. They loved getting stoned in it apparently.
Thats true dead on groucho had one
@@dontgoout1434 think it was the one and the same as Groucho shipped it over to Paul in the mid 60's from the States.
I saw an Alice Cooper interview where he claims he gave Paul a round mattress or bed for that dome .
yeah I think I read somewhere it was a round bed that Alice Cooper got from Groucho Marx.
Correct
Марта!❤
Is this when Paul had a chipped front tooth? It looks like you can almost see it at 2:30
He chipped his tooth back in 66. You can see in the paperback writer film clip. It was from a motor scooter accident that fuelled the whole "Paul is dead" thing.
That was in revolver time.he crashed a moped but had it fixed paul had bad teeth met him several times
so they really were looking through a glass onion!
SAPHIR ZAFIRO ....Oh!...Yeeeaaaahhhh....✌🏻
All they looked sad and tired...
A GEODESIC DOME
they all look tired, bored and have that wished they were somewhere else look on their faces...you can tell the end is near.....
yes indeed
I completely agree. This makes, Beatles for Sale, look chipper. Seeing the long and winding road to the end in photographs is quite melancholy. I have loved The Beatles all my life, but just started to really analyze the group in my old age. It is a shame they couldn't all see their fate and try to intervene. Maybe they would still be together, maybe John would be alive....maybe.
@@songbird6701 no , they were too big . to live in that bubble their whole lives . in life , one is either going forward or one dies . they were too intelligent and they left enough of a legacy . i cant imagine hanging out with everyone i knew when i was 17 , the rest of my life .
@@christopherstarr8050 If they were your musical partner-yes. That type of relationship is very different from the kids hanging on the corner. Surely you know The Beatles weren't just some kids that played in a garage band and broke up. This was the most significant band of the last century and maybe even this century. To not wonder what might have been beyond the 12 years they were together is something that has come to many a mind. You apparently can't stretch your mind beyond the perimeter sir.
@@songbird6701 relax i agree . i wish they would have went on forever , but its a lot to ask of four brilliant guys . it had to get tiring of being in that fish bowl . ,
Look, it's Billy!!!!
@cliff Well, he was a control freak. They probably didn't even want to hang out with him after dealing with him in the studio for hours on end. You can tell they don't seem thrilled to be there. Poor dudes. 😥
He no dead boi
Yes, I was talking to Paul, not billy
Elena my dear
They do look tried & just hanging out.
Always a bit shocking how bad John Lennon looks by summer 1968. Heroin and Yoko really wrecked him.
Yep nasty bully middle class fake turns love and peace while hiding his sexuality issues lol .
The "Fifth" Beatle Mal Evans, died under mysterious circumstances.
Mal wrote a book, nobody can find the book. ..?
@@Htiler Gary Evans might know.
@John Caulfield We knew this. Why, is the question? He was usually described as a "gentle giant", law-abiding in every way.
Shot by cops under the influence
I still wonder what would have happened without John meeting Yoko. She somehow empowered him, whilst at the same time creatively cutting off his balls. I truly believe that The Beatles had run their course, but John should have remained in the UK, whilst travelling around the world and discovering his real self. Can you imagine what he would have come up with without his simpering love songs for that manipulative woman?
Think about it this way, at least we got Beatles music times 4!
Each of them were outstanding, as solo artists
I mean you’re wrong but okay
