Our beautiful peaceful loving Beatles...I remember them at this time..its was the time when the world loved these 4 Beethoven's. Its sad we don't have them anymore..they were truly artistic and original.
I love the fact John liked kicking peoples stupid fxxxxxg heads in !!! If they needed it! John was an aggressive animal and beat anyone!! Man or woman! It’s just rock n roll!!
I love the pictures in the canteen, the Beatles having a cuppa and a ciggie with everyone else.
I thought that was interesting too. I never thought of Abbey Road as having a staff canteen. And it looks like staff canteens all over the country, nothing luxurious in spite of the superstars present.

I mean, look at their clothes! They all look fantastic and stand the test of time, just like their music.
At the beginning Brian Epstein who sadly is being wrote out of their history & young fans don't know about him. No Epstein no Beatles, anyway he dressed them in identical beautiful suits, then after '66 they dressed in mufti but they always blending well. I rmbr I bought a kaftan aged 14 in '67. Cool dude.
John, George and Paul look smart. I’d pass on Ringo's Sonny and Cher getup.

The double doors that they are standing in front of at 7:24 are the back entrance to Studio 1 at Abbey Road. This is at the bottom of the alleyway that runs down the left hand side of the front of the main entrance. I was there 4 weeks ago and came out of those doors.

"Our World" was the first live, international, satellite television production, which was broadcast on 25 June 1967, reaching an audience of over 400 million people in 25 countries. The Beatles performed, in overdub fashion, "All You Need is Love" for the first time, closing the broadcast. John later recorded new vocals and the single hit #1 all around the world. These pics were part of the pre-production promotion, taken outside of Olympic Sound Studios in south-west London on June 24th.
The studio is EMI now called Abbey Road in St John’s Wood NW8 and not Olympic which is in Barnes.
These photos WERE taken on June 24, 1967 though as publicity for the event which took place on the 25th.

@@gribwitch Yes, I was clarifying it, because so many people elsewhere (FB etc.) have thought they were taken on the 25th. That’s why I wrote “WERE.”

Yeah, from the early years through Beatlemania and a few years after most photos show them smoking. Notice the cigarette machine in the background in the cafeteria pics too.

You had the name of the television show wrong. It's "Our World" and it was broadcast all over the world. They were about to premier "All You Need Is Love" on the show. It was a really big deal!!

Great Pictures and again you've managed to find the most obscure photos of The Beatles. Seeing the 4 of them sitting at one table did not looked staged. These guys were still very close in 1967.

I wonder if those sandwich boards still exist or did they go out with the trash the next day? My guess is that they would have been pretty cavalier about archiving stuff, not realising how valuable memorabilia would become in future.
Might be a translation- or scan-based error, but there's a typo in the index title, repeated in the description text, that's baffling in its context. The context being The Sixties, and British culture in the brilliant glow that preceded its sunset. In its time, not only did Britain know of the program "Our [not "Out"] World", but the entire world came to know of it: its presentation 25/6/1967 was THE first live global television-cast, the photos Elena presents here show Our Boys in the late afternoon. They went on live (says Wiki) at 8:54pm GMT. Given the interval George's arrival may not have been an anxiety, but look at the face of Beatles roadie Mal Evans at (0:55) and Think For Yourself!
The Beatles' gracious alight on "Our World" was a SENSATION in its time. The symbolism of this group being its genre's first face to be beamed across the planet simultaneously---via the extremely cutting-edge technology called "satellite", which had existed not even a decade, was in itself profound. Another flight had been built atop Babel, was now occupied and those there were shouting and heard. But in the pop-music context the event was significant, and also tantalizing, confirmation that the Beatles were, indeed, "there" if not "back":
The "Our World" broadcast was the first time the world had seen the band in nearly a year. No statement of confirmation or equivocation was ever made, but 1967 was the first year in the Beatles' career in which they did not perform on tour; questions on this point went purely unacknowledged. Whither the Beatles? Their industry had shifted broadly in the preceding couple years---they themselves had been among the prominent shifters---following the U.S. dates of their summer 1966 Europe / Asia / America tour, the Beatles had been heard but not seen.
Their last(-ever) venue performance had been their tour finale 29/8/1966, in San Francisco USA; in the near-year since, the Beatles had gone to unprecedented (for them) media silence. Only one release was made, the single "Penny Lane" / "Strawberry Fields Forever", promoted by the novelty of a music video. The future, by the way?
Nothing from the Beatles from summer 1966 to near-summer '67. Then, with a bang, a VERY full album released worldwide (for the first time, no regional staggering) on 1 June. Embargoed, in fact: retailers & broadcasters were warned if they let out copies or contents of Sgt.Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, they'd lose future access. A writer driving across the United States recounted that from midnight June 1 through his travel, not only was the new release being played somewhere on his car radio all the time, but that at every fuel, coffee or rest stop he made, the new Beatles music was on.
This was how the Beatles would come to us from then on.
In that same month the guys in these photos would use the newest means (i paraphrase George Harrison) "without going out of [their] door", and reach the largest audience ever.

It's 'Our World', not 'Out World'!
The Beatles' BROTHERHOOD , untill Yoko Ono came to manipulate John and breake it , then all went downhill.
But the music was excellent untill the end.

When they returned from India, they started to record the White Album in May of '68.
John brought Ono into the studio at that point, & she Never Left. Grr

i believe these photos were taken for a big press call the day before the tv show. unfortunately, i've never seen any film footage from this day.
Beatles the most photographed people in the world in the 60s. But, the least filmed people at work & the vast majority of it wiped in the UK. You can count the films of them at play on your digits. Tragic, but hey it's only a pop band said the Bigwigs & they come & go don't they..😎😎😎😎✌️🍏.
The "Bigwigs" made a lot of money out of the Fabs, and compared with other bands of the time there is a large amount of music vids, performances, interviews etc, including three full length films (although not as many as Elvis's 48 films). Generally though, their 'downtime' was closely guarded....unlike today's celebs.....

There's video clips of "All You Need Is Love" on UA-cam, some in colour some in black and white. But you likely already know that, unless you're new to the phenomenon of the Beatles. In which case, welcome aboard for a Magical Mystery ( music ) Tour !

Elena I feel you are mistaken. Without any doubt whatsoever, that is outside Abbey Road Studios. I have matched these photographs with Google Earth and with Google images of Abbey Road Studios, 3, Abbey Road, St. John's Wood, London, England. The building is identical, the railings are identical, the windows are identical, the steps are identical, and in the background at 2:23 you can see Abbey Road Baptist Church...very distinctive with it's three arches at the front. With street view you may also visit the very distinctive building in the background at 3:39. Ino....I have nothing better to do.
EMI changed its name to Abbey Road in the 80s

The funny thing is that I grew up in London and was involved in the music industry, and everyone, including the people who recorded there, simply called it Abbey Road studios, or just Abbey Road including the taxi drivers. I guess that was just it's colloquial name. Thanks once again, and my sincere apologies to Elena.

"All You Need Is Love." Truer words never spoken. Moreover, God is love. Conversely, those who are in rebellion to Jesus Christ do not function in love.
For example, God is morally perfect - and so is heaven. In fact, no one will ever lie to you there. Isn't that nice? No lying politicians in paradise! That said, do you see the problem? If you have ever lied, you are not fit for heaven - in fact, you are not even a 'good' person! Only God is good.
Yet, Christ loved us so much that He bore the penalty for every selfish, wicked act we have ever committed; He died on a cross for our sins. Now, by simple faith, we can be filled with the Holy Spirit - a taste of heaven! Though we will have many difficulties in this life, we can know Christ and the power of His resurrection from the dead.
Heaven will be "Party Central." It will be everything John sung about, but so much more! Yet, Jesus said that we must be born again! All you need is love - but remember, only God is love! The rest of us fall a million miles short of it! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
