- Police in Leeds say they've made a number of arrests after last night's violent disorder in the Harehills area of the city - warning that more arrests would come in the next few days.
The unrest was sparked after social workers took several children into care.
Police officers were attacked by a crowd throwing bricks and missiles - and a bus was set on fire.

Saw a report the social services and police attempted to rescue a child in danger and the morons attacked the police .

The baby had sustained injury when both parents were out, leaving kids alone in house. Baby either fell, or was thrown, from a window. There are laws (age restrictions) on leaving kids unsupervised in the home.

The interviewee kept saying "your government," but if he lives in the UK, it’s his government too. Removing children from a home is traumatic, but social workers don’t do this on a whim. They likely spent months working with the family to resolve issues. As a foster parent, I understand the pain caused by forcibly removing children with police involvement. However, this doesn’t justify rioting, criminal damage, and arson by family friends and the community. The social worker involved has reportedly received death threats, which is unacceptable.
They don't see themselves as British and don't want to be. They just want the benefits of living here whilst maintaining their own little ghettos.

Poor housing, councils especially Leeds and Bradford rehoming ethnic groups together, when we struggle to find social housing and the cost of living. The attitude we have to life and the autgorities evolved over hundreds of years or more. We think as individuals and single families. In other places its more to do with extended clans. I live in Chapel Allerton. Harehills is 51% Muslim and majority Pakistani. It has always been a poor area, but in the last few years the Govt have dumped 1000s of illegal immigrants (Like Roma Gypsies) in the area. It is now overcrowded and overflowing with angry, poor illegal migrants mixed with hateful islamist Pakistanis who originally lived there. It is a powderkeg waiting to go off. Now it has gone off.
