The correction that Djoko has just suffered, it is true that he had been showing signs of poor form for a while now. Nadal scored almost the same score against a top 10 and he after a very long absence

Called it last year. Should have left on top after the US Open. Aging is inevitable and in this brutal sport, it was very clear then. Having lost a step, this shall be a painful season if he persists.

I completely agree. I also think the tour is not the same for him. All of his contemporaries are gone. And it seems his wife and kids aren’t with him as much…I assume because of schooling. I think after the Olympics or maybe the US Open he will either retire or announce 2025 as his farewell tour.

Cam, refers to Tabilo as a "clay court player from South America." He was born and raised in Toronto. At 13 he started playing in an academy in Florida. Probably never saw a clay court until he first played in Europe. He plays for Chile because his parents are Chilean and Chile gave him money and Canada didn't.

So am I to assume he's been hit with bottles all year because he hasn't made it to a final yet and it's May.
The last person he lost to was playing only their fourth professional match on tour.
Didn't he say he would retire if he started to lose. Guess what he ain't winning.

I find it interesting that Nadal and Djokovic pretty much suffered the worst losses of their career since its inception in the same week at the same tournament for two different reasons.
The reason they have in common is it's time to f****** retire.
They had 20 years it's time to move on.

    • @rrll9840
      @rrll9840 10 днів тому

There is already a common reason, they are almost the same age, but what would Nadal's record be if he had not had his health and physical problems from the start, I believe he would not have lost any Roland Garros ...

Alcaraz & Sinner will have to win 2 grand slams apiece to surpass Novak’s 10,000 points.

If you don’t do as well as you did in the year before then you lose points.
Djokovic losing in the semifinal of the Australian Open this year caused him to be in striking distance for Sinner and Alcaraz for instance.
Losing in the 3rd round of Rome when he lost in the semifinal of Rome to Rune last year caused Djokovic to lose hundreds of points. If Sinner wasn’t injured this would be truly terrible for Djokovic keeping his number 1 ranking.
Djokovic not only has his win at Roland Garros and the final at Wimbledon to defend but he also was the champion at Cincinnati last year. He won’t have 10,000 points for much longer.

Djokovic played like he wanted to humiliate the tournament. Probably because of that incident with a hit that happened. Maybe he was not satisfied how they treated him afterwards too. He did that against Sonego in Viena. Humiliated the tournament. As childish as it sounds, that could be the reason for such poor performance. He did not play the match at all.

  • @DeltoidBeast

Djokovic does not need preparation in shape of warm up tournaments before slams. He is still top favorite to win RG. Cam is fully right, these losses are irrelevant. Until losses of Djokovic start to happen on slams in continue manner, Djokovis is still guy to beat.

When he broke up with Goron as his coach I was curious if he was going to get another coach thinking that he wasn't going to play much longer before he retired.
I think the thing is that it is kinda difficult to fathom that both Novak and Nadal are going to be leaving tennis soon.
No one is surprised about Nadal since he has had so many serious injuries over the past couple of years that have kept him off tour for extended periods of time but we really don't know why Novaks performance has tanked so quickly.
When we found out that Goran had departed as his coach that was the reason but now he gets hit in the head with that bottle yet he didn't get at least a CAT scan.
It just seems as if Novak doesn't have the fire in the belly any more

Djokovic's PED regimen has been reaping this average player huge and ilegal rewards for years but now the game's up. He's an old man who only ever had his fitness and defence going for him. Rafa can still win in Paris because he has that Hammer of Thor forehand. Djokovic has no such weapon. All he had was his roids, but they can't work miracles. See ya Nosey!!
