    So many more people need to watch this! I've seen so many pole written off as c-rap because they break easily when it's from issues that could have been avoided by correct roller placement or better handling.

    Never thought about the leg being the third roller, great advice. 😊

    Great informative video doing one on using one roller and double breaking would be good a lot of fisheries have otter fences that make it impossible to use two rollers

    Great demonstration of correct shipping and retrieving your Pole. Its the 2.5 sections to the rollers is the clever bit. Thanks. Fantastic Tip. Keep them coming

    Just upgraded to MTX3 from a thing seemingly made out of scaffold tubes. Thanks for the advice

    All about the tipping point. Should still stay level as it leaves the back roller. And the same on the front. Not tip back or forward. Then ship back and it should just meet on the back one by half a section.

    I find the bread lasts lot long if you give them a bit of a squeeze not to much though I have good catches with fine disc of lookalike polystyrene

    Due to space I don’t have a seat box but I have the matrix feeder chair, would these steps still apply as I’m not on a box?

    Speaking as the twat who broke a no.4 section in a match last week, this video is the perfect reminder of why I will always be a mediocre angler.

    Would have thought the bulk of damage probably occurs while unpacking the pole, letting the sections fall out onto the ground, chipping/cracking the ends, or dropping them horizontally onto grass and landing on a rogue stone.
    Up to now I've only used short poles, 6 to 7 meters, hardly ever used the crappy bankstick mounted roller I have, and can't see any damage on them other than a few light scratches. Admittedly I've not been constantly pulling 5lb+ lumps out with them, mostly silvers and carp up to 3lb, and they're cheap old things (under £50, 20 years ago), not these crazy expensive jobbies.

      Simply don't let them fall on the ground, place them gently. It's all about looking after what is an expensive bit of kit.

    What about if you’re fishing a line at top 2 and2?

      Either an extra roller or just place the two sections behind you, putting your rod bag or something to keep it off the ground can help.

    What do you rest the unconnected pole section that you put into the large right sock onto Jamie?

    What about if using at 14.5 and 16m?

    Once you take your pole out of your pole bag etc what do you use to protect the ends so they don't get damaged while putting your pole together and the same when your packing up at the end of your session?

      You can get pole bungs off eBay that just slot into the sections to prevent you from splintering the sections when putting them together. You have to make sure you get the ones for your make of pole though as they are different sizes per brand. I think they're about £35 for a full set but it's a small price to pay considering the price of a repair or new section. Hope this helps mate 👍

      @winningwaysbasics  Рік тому +1

      Just be careful with it, place sections down gently if they are on the floor, as the other comment says you can get bungs for poles, obviously it will add a bit of weight to the pole but if you wanted to really look after them sections then they are worth a look.

      Preston do cheap ones, Bobco sell them for a couple of quid and come in different sizes
      Browning does some nice EVA ones too

    I just can't use my legs I'm too tall they stick up too far

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  Рік тому

      Make your box higher, either adding units or adjusting the height depending on the style. You need you legs to be flat or it causes all sorts of issues.

    • @benwakefield4913
      @benwakefield4913 Рік тому

      @Winning Ways Basics yeah not sure if I can even add bits but the height adjusting don't work as the foot plate goes up with it
