    I love method feeding, you said about the winter, can you explain more as to why they are not good to use in the colder months thanks.

    Point your rod to where your casting when your rod is on the rest you advise. But a certain pro on here says you must have your rod at a angle to prevent losing your rod when a fish takes. Confused??

    Hi Andy,how would you prepare your pellets for 10m of depth?

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  8 місяців тому +1

      That's a bit deep! The prep would be the same, just make sure you pack them on really well. Maybe look at a Hybrid style feeder as it will hold them in a bit better than a traditional method feeder.

    Was the line left in the clip after casting ? Thanks

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  Рік тому

      Yes when fishing upto an island they can only kite rather than run away from you like in open water. So leaving it clipped up should be ok :)

    Can the method feeder move instead of being in place?

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  3 місяці тому

      Yes, just depends on the fishery rules what you need to do.

  • @mikepigott5132

    Why do people always seem to cast the method a distance and never close to near bank. Mike

    • @winningwaysbasics
      @winningwaysbasics  9 місяців тому +5

      Generally fish will push away from the bank side disturbance, so getting away from you is an advantage. Especially earlier in the session.

      @mikepigott5132 I took up fishing about 12 months ago. An old timer showed me how to fish the margins on maggot. I catch around 25 a session, which is nothing compared to some I know, but more than the 2 or 3 my mate catches. He's always messing around with ledger, feeder, ground bait etc, casting yards away. He once asked me how I catch so many, I said I dont know but one of us is doing something wrong.
