Gone back to my old original Boss rollers. Light, compact and still does the same job as any other roller. Like most tackle these days, over thought out and for a premium price.

The extra legs are an interesting addition, don't think I'd ever use a roller at the height they can be used though.
The removable centre upright might be the way things are going, MAP already has it, and Preston's upcoming model too, unfortunately it looks like it's only increasing the cost of rollers for now. I wonder how many people will curse it when the wind blows their pole twice as far and with more energy, into the end upright, which will undoubtedly increase the potential of damaging the pole, I'd think.

Tempted at these, but will wait a few months to see if Rive start to produce again. Both top of the tree though!

Just purchased a couple of the 6 leg version obviously quite large how do you carry and fit on your trolley? Do you carry two or one?

Hi Brad, both Kris and Tom love these for situations where you need super stability. The weight/ size is prohibitive however. Tom uses the matrix rollers, Kris the Mini Rives for situations where you have to carry tackle a long way. 😊🎣

Fantastic that he is non sponsored for his main gear, so get his real opinion. But, if you had owt to do with Daiwa, with him using your top pole and now rollers, you would surely throw a number at him he couldn’t refuse to use your gear??
