Gorgeous makeover! I like the classic black top it accents the lovely wood. I did this on MCM coffee & end tables with Laminate tops and gorgeous Walnut bases.

Odies oil is the best top coat for these MCM furniture. But it turned out Beautiful!

So beautiful! I cannot connect the laminate top with the rest of veneer. Don't you think they replaced the original top due to some damage? In any case, painting it was the best option
Surprisingly, a of these MCM dressers have laminate tops. I think the main reason was durability. And I guess, this dresser looked fine before I sanded the old stain away. But, once you remove that old color (in my opinion)it just clashes.
