    Make a paste of vinegar and baking soda. Let sit about 30-45 minutes. Works like a charm :)

    Whoa.. the dedication!
    ps. yes, actually baking sodas are made from sodium bicarbonate which is slightly abrasive therefore very good in removing grease and burnt residues. Some people mix it with vinegar to add more strength to the “cleaning” and abrasive property. The combination of both even could be used to clean rusts from metal.

    I did it and it worked in only 2 1/2hrs and I haven’t cleaned it in about 10 years all I did was put it on and every hour I would use a sponge and scrub but then at the end I used a putty knife to scrap it off and it just peeled off

    You ought to be ashamed of yourself for wasting people's minutes and hours with this method. All you literally have to do is buy a $2 glass scraper and scrape the mess off in SECONDS without scratching or damaging the glass because it's razor thin. It's specifically made to clean glass. Works every time.
