- Finally got set up again after the move and cracked on with Streets. This was always one of my favourite levels, the music, being able to use the tank for more than 2 minutes unlike Runway and the haunting sounds of the rocket launchers towards the end of the level.
I always liked the mid section of this track, it seemed like an original X track with how the pacing changes. Hope I've done this one some justice as it's a great track.
just noticed this remake is now the longest video out of all the remakes I've done.
Subscribe if you wanna hear more of these remakes as I'll be doing the entire GoldenEye OST.
Composers:
Grant Kirkhope
Graeme Norgate
I remember being in the tank on my first playthrough of this game, then I found out I could just skip the entire level by diagonal sprinting lol
Speedrun strats 😆
"Uh Commander.. He has a tank..." - a guard
Thank you for remaking these!
🤣🤣🤣 Best part in the film for me, Ourumov sweating in the back of that car taking sips from his flask. Bet he was pooping them pants for sure 🤣
Hey, thankyou for listening, it's much appreciated 😁
Nice. Eagerly anticipating Aztec X (Shuttle Countdown sequence)
Sofort like .. danke für die Erinnerungen ❤
Thanks, oooh yeah im looking forward to working on that one.
Your dedication to this series has been amazing. Another great remake vid man 👍
Ahh thankyou so much, can't give up now, I'm over halfway through (I think) 🤔
Moving is always a pain in the ass, I can appreciate the effort it takes to shove everything you own into boxes, move it to a new place, and then set it all up again. Good to see that you're back at it. I really love the X version of this track, it was always a treat when it was queued up when starting a multiplayer match, since you'd only hear about 5 seconds of it in the exit cutscene of Streets, which really doesn't do it justice. I can see that we're inching closer and closer to some real bangers like Train, Control, Caverns, and Cradle. Not to say that there have been *any* misses on the OST at all, but those are some real highlights in my opinion.
Hey man, pleasure as always to receive a comment from yourself. I'm glad to be moved and settled finally.
Yeah im glad to be moving into the back end of the game now, really looking forward to Train and Control.
One thing I like about Control is that it sounds heavily inspired by Éric Serra's composition titled A Pleasant Drive In St. Petersburg. It was originally used for the tank scene but was later changed for a more symphonic composition by John Altman, which did turn out to be a better fit for that epic scene.
Thanks for stopping by and listening 😊
Great work as usual
Thankyou so much!
Hell yes, Streets X is so good. One of my favorite tracks in the game. I remember I used to reset mutiplayer matches until I got that track.
Will you be remastering Citadel? It always felt like it had an archives tone with some of the triumphant style that Streets X has. Im sure you would do a hell of a job with that track.
Either way though, thank you for streets! Its an amazing remaster as usual.
Oooh I'm glad you made that comparison to Citadel cause I used to think that too. Yeah I'll be doing Citadel after the main mission tracks. Thankyou as always for listening ☺️😁
Damn. You never cease to impress don’t you. Nice work man ! 🙏🏼
Thanks bud! Depot is currently a work in progress, hoping to get some time this week to work on it. Thanks for the kind words, it keeps me going ☺️
This sounds sharper than the original 🫡
Thankyou, hope it was worth the wait.
I'm loving these remakes, I found your channel through them :)
Oh thankyou, glad you love them. Thanks for finding my channel ☺️
Another excellent job. Sounds great.
Thankyou!!
@@mattspence1337 You're welcome!
😮👌👌👌👌
😮💨😮💨😮💨🔥🔥🔥
Thankyou!
this sounds like streets, but better!!
Thankyou! Have you ever heard the uncompressed version that Grant Kirkhope released ?
@@mattspence1337 , never heard of it. ill search it up.
Hope you are doing better. Quality work. Only thing about this level I can think about is how you have to actually be trying to run the civilians over to fail that objective :D. AHHHHGHHH.
Thankyou, after getting settled at the new place I ended up getting a chest infection, but im good now.
Oh yeah, just going straight at them, I'm a bit guilty of doing that tbh, that scream and crunch sound always got me feeling bad 😆
Can't believe it's not possible to play the campaign with the street x rolling... One Of the few bad decisions of devs
Yeah I know what you mean, the fact that they made an X track for pretty much every level and there's only a handful that you actually hear in the campaign is very odd.
YES this is amazing. definitely exceeded my expectations. The reason why I love Streets so much is how dark and devastating the orchestra feels and sounds while also having the intensity with the drums. It really gives you that feeling of devastation and intensity that Natalya has been kidnapped and you have to rush down and save her and if you don't all of London's banks will collapse. My favorite thing about this remake are definitely those big toms, It really sounds like someone is hitting those with as much force as they possibly can. And right from the get go those drums immediately just go to town. As for the Streets X I never really listened to it that much but I can surely say it sounds extremely good. My only critique would be that it might sound a little better with an additional choir to the tune kind of like in AIDavisMusic's remake here: ua-cam.com/video/cO200ADcQh0/v-deo.html but all in all this is my new favorite Streets remake, well done.
I'm always eagerly waiting for your comments man cause you always share great insight! Yeah the toms/timpani I spent alot of time trying to get them just right. Yeah I only ever heard the snippet of Streets X at the end of the level before it cuts off.
I was actually toying with the idea of having the low male choir in the back as I remember you sent me the link to that cover before. I'll definitely be considering it when I put these together in 1 album.
Thanks as always for listening dude!
