jermin nigor really humans looking more like machines then actual humans is better. The other group of human that had more advanced tech then the imperium looked more human then the standard imperium guardsmen. And they where supposedly taken out by the imperium. No the Emperor made humanity in a worse monster then the things they fight well maybe not the demons but most of the other races. My guess is if the humans had another form of government like the UNSC humanity wouldn't be hated by most of the galaxy.
