I think we can all agree that the whole point of 40k lore is to make living in Nottingham seem less awful.
At least you have s castle in your town.
I've looked at a few pictures of Nottingham.. whats so awful about it?
@@VonBrachsenbrueggego there on a Friday night.
@@VonBrachsenbruegge not a lot going on but tourists, windy, cold, rainy in a sec, sunny, rainy again. Strip club makes you wear a trench coat(maybe that was just me)
@@OEFarredondo Windy, cold and rainy.. perfect weather, i don't see the problem.
There's kind of a hopefulness in the idea the imperium needs that many planets to remove subversives. One of the saddest things to me in 40k is how much of "humanity" has lost touch with some of the things that made them so.
That's a kind of gloomy fascination I have with that universe, too, albeit as long as humans are humans, and we are homo sapiens for 200.000 to 300.000 years, this will never be like that. Humans are differently hardwired, we are social survivors, if it's somewhere/somewhen unbearable, we flee or change it to the better. But I understand the appeal of it, especially for the - let's say less social individuals. Which I may be one of. Those grim scenarios strike a cord in us, something almost cozy, nothing-to-loose so one can be truthful to oneself and others at last or something of that kind. But in reality we are actually different - and ever will be. Sorry, no grim dark future.
@@Omnihil777 Well worded. It's hard to convey things like that so i appreciate it. See, I don't think anyone in 40k would say something like that!
I think if one is not born spire noble and isn't selected for becoming an astartes, I would think the best option is to become some form of a naval officer. You're important enough to be extracted from most situations, but not so important that you are swamped with responsibilities or seen as political competition. You live on a starship with relatively decent quarters, while stopping on various worlds goods and bad for resupply.
Governor of an imperial pleasure world
I once ran a game of Dark Heresy where the players were trapped on a Quarantine World. Long story short, the future acolytes discovered why. There was a child born with blonde hair and angelic wings on the otherwise mundane planet and the Quarantine was put in place to make sure NO ONE found out. Imagine my players' surprise when an Inquisitor showed up when they found out and said 'Hi there! You're really good at investigation! Would you like a job or a tomb?'
Tell us more please
Pretty much how it works too. You can say what you like about the Imperium, Inquisition, or hell even real world law enforcement... but they recognize true talent and aren't going to waste it
I ain't gonna lie.. I would probably Speedrun becoming a chaos cultist by accident.. and then get executed.. so probably doesn't matter where o would spawn
True enough.
I'd probably be one of the many brutish creatures such as an ogryn or a goliath ganger having too much fun smashing things for my pay masters to care about anything else.
I LIKE KILLIN' SPIKEYS!
the Imperium learning from the best: SEND THE PRISONERS TO AUSTRALIA
i would love to be a techpriest on a pleaure world taking care of the pools. And the cooking machines in rich houses. Somebody needs to do that. And everything needs lots of testing. For the Omnissiah.
Plus the materials that are used would be high quality. Clean and nice to look at.
And the modifications you have access to you would also be of similar quality and look.
Totally Awesome Episode! Thanks for all the Hard Video Making!:)
I love those deep dives, good work - keep it up!
I work nights just woke up. Got some really good news and then this video popped up top of my UA-cam.
Bloody great video. Art, editing, and voice-over all deserve praise!!
Great vid.
Cheers :)
Another blessed video, thank you
Absolutely awesome vid! Thank you. 😊
I think I’d want to be a farmer on a sparsely populated planet
Then a ork whaa decides to attack because they confused your world with the hive world one system over.
I love your videos. Well Done. Another great video.
Warhammer 40k is like HFY, except for the not top ranker it's "Humans fuck nay!"
21 seconds into the video “nah I’m not gonna make it”
This is way better. You were ahead of me 😊
I only watch to make me feel better about my real life job
Catachan jungle fighters are impossible to hold on a feral world I would imagine
They would claim it and pacify the world within 5 years
Holy shit. You gave me an hour. Wow.
Im digging these!
Why at 28 seconds is there a guy crucified to the star of David lmao
Blood libel
I'm all about that Warhammer 40,000k! What might humanity be like in the time the Necrons have been around, if we somehow survive that is? Maybe all the races merge into one civilization perhaps, or even one single species. And then that species goes out and spreads across the universe creating newer and weirder variants of the Milky Way amalgam species. I think the emperor gets a nercodermis body made from blackstone to control his godly warp essence. Maybe he even absorbes the power of the void dragon so his power can effect both the physical and immaterial universe. He can be the God he was meant to be without destroying the galaxy in the process, which is also beneficial to the Necrons ultimate goals.
Best video yet.
I love the deep dives my dude, it's fun to light your green pipe and just listen
Just as always. Be a highborn or die. I would not survive this universe but a part of me wants to see parts of it. I really would want to meet adaptis mechanicuas, some of the great warriors and even Necrons
I'd probably wind up being a hive ganger if I wound up on a hive city like necromunda. Specifically the house of chains or the ash waste nomads.
Shit I can barely survive earth 2023. Strong breeze would lay my ass low.
Question: wouldn’t the best world to live on in the Imperium be an agri-world as those people need big families to harvest crops so it’s a cheek clapping fest every night?
well, granted you're devoted to the Emperor and his Imperium, yes. agri-worlds are basically communist utopias, and as long as the whole population is united by a common goal (in this case, making that sweet sweet grain), communism actually works
I think there are worlds in the imperium which are rather normal they’re just pretty rare.
Servitors bud
There are civilized worlds which are often similar to ours. Or more advanced. They just don't get notoriety because they are normal and are safe from invasion (generally) which allows them to develop normally.
NO! I would die instantly lol
Ironically the feral worlds are better off than the technological worlds. Who knew
"We will spread misery and death in order to stop misery and death."
1:45 that sounds like it could be really neat game. You could start as a disgraced noble or soldier who somehow didn't get put to death. You get dumped off on a crappy, dangerous planet with a handful or so of NPC criminals. You could decide who to help, go your own way or try to hunt down and destroy the other criminals. Just spitballing
How are unstructured penal worlds not just overrun by the chaos gods
I may not be highborn but I’m high now🔥💨🌿
Anyone know why older games workshop "fine cast" ( i think its resin just looks a lil different then Forge World ) is just not as good quality of Forge World ? Since they are both resin ? PS Wicked video by the way. Thanks so much !
How to survive in yr 40 000:
1) find mechanicum
2) submit to the Omnissiah
i'd hope i'd luck out and be a psycher. I mean the black ships aren't that bad. At least they would want me and maybe i coudl be useful to the Emperor. he had a vision of a better world and I would liek to help do that.
maybe the inquition would recognize my genius and talent. but if i was really lucky i'd get to look at the emperor.
40k, the only thing more bleak than real life. The only escape I got.
So you don’t have Freedom Of Speech in the Warhammer Universe
Anywhere is good as long it not the hive
Corpse starche taste different pedending on the ingredients....mmmm
Can I survive in Warhammer 40k
First of all
NO THANK YOU
So is it possible that WH: Sigmar might be present in todays 40k?
How? Or Why it can’t?
It might be a world trapped in the Warp, completely isolated from the rest of the universe. Some have even theorized Sigmar is one of the forgotten primarchs.
They're technically different universes with overlap but no actual relation.
Id rather live in dark ages Europe as a serf than Warhammer
Life span and quality are probably identical. Least in war hammer maybe I can see something interesting rather than watching the neighbors die from the plague lmao.
What good would i be an old man unless i be a vertern of the astra militarum, even then id much rather die as a commisar if id be given the honor
Drop me on a pleasure world !
You might wanna contact Slaanesh !
Your local Inquisition office would like to have a word with you.
👍👍👍
This voice is an AI voice. No human being talks this way.

Yes you could survive warhammer 40K, the real question is for how long?
Question is 40k based in the past
no..... 40K Is the year the series is set in
Great video but sometimes hard to follow the narration as you don’t fully pronounce the last syllable in words - your vouce tails off.
You said penile 😂
Nobody has Netflix then?

its good lore but i cannot endure his way of speaking.
I don't believe that the Imperium seems even remotely realistic. The whole setting is too hellish. People wouldn't have the morale to do anything.
So I can't really imagine myself in such a setting. As is in our world antidepressants are used a lot.
To make the Imperium work I imagine humans in that setting have slightly different genetics. That they are immune to the effects of stress and ptsd
You must be joking...
@@WankerTheWetFingers Why?
@@tessa63627
People lived hard and harsh lifes for all the humanity's history.
Today generations with "depression" are most of the time just 1st world kids spoiled by general well-being.
So no, humans in 40 would not commit mass suicides out of misery.
@@WankerTheWetFingers I post comments like the above hoping for interesting conversation. You have failed to meet that mark.
Your comment betrays how little you've actually studied history. Or how much knowledge you have about how humans respond to stress.
If you have managed to read past my snark to get to this point then. Here is why humanity couldn't bear the weight of 40k. It's not suicide. Stress regardless of how much you mentally power through it breaks your body down. Quickly. Every known medical condition is significantly exacerbated by stress. And stress and stress alone can kill you.
Need to work on your delivery. You end every sentence in this same, monotonous tone. Change pitch every now and then. Its incredibly distracting.
