Warhammer 40k takes place within the milky way - so that begs the question, what became of each of the solar systems planets?

Dat 6 for asking for lional heresy
Speaking of the lion.... Where the hell do you get that dark angle helmet?? Plz plug them so I can order my own !
Keep up the vids
Oi, when are you gonna make some “Rock and Stone” inspired minis??
Tired of only seeing SM and Xenos!
Can you do a video on the imperial palace?
can you make some super basic space marine models for folks that just want a template for homebrew marines?
How each primarch would react when placed in Gullimans shoes would be a cool idea
Go forth my minions spread my idea 😈
The heck is a primary?
You mean a Primarch?
Shitty idea
well magnus would be the best choice cause he does nothing wrong
Agreed, let's get more likes and replies on this. And also just spam this og comment on all his videos
All planets of the Sol System have been fortified by Rogal Dorn.
Literally
Alongside pretty much every planetoid in the system, and anything that's looks kinda like a sphere.
Rogal Dorn: I am reinstalling the solar system
This... Is true.
@@Samuel-iw8kj "Please do not do this."
Mars is by far one of my favourite planets in 40k. The lore of it being the birthplace of The Mechanicum, one of the largest manufacting points in The Imperium and the place where The Machine God -a shard of The Void Dragon- sleeps deep blow the surface is all part of what makes me love it. The Mechanicus is such a cool faction with some really good lore
i wait with baited breath for the day the mechanicus no longer has a monopoly on tech in the imperium solely because *it will cause so many problems for everyone*
Isn't he the eater of Knowledge ?
@@aganaom1712 I like to think The Mechanicus feels threatened by The Votann and their tech
@@PelinalDidNothingWrong it's more than just them. the salamanders actively modify and improve the tech they receive which is tech heresy. the only reason the mechanicus aren't on their ass about it is because they often times take just as good if not better care of the tech they receive than the mechanicus does. then we've got the iron hands who could seemingly swing either way if anything ever came to a civil conflict with the mechanicus. and if that wasn't enough, even guilliman himself has been pushing against the policies of the mechanicus to favor innovation and creation. hell, cawl is itching to tear mechanicus tradition out of its foundation by its roots.
it's only a matter of time before something happens to get at least certain subfactions within the mechanicus to form a schism that could realistically escalate to civil war
Purge this heretic, Obviously the God Emperor of Mankind is the machine god.
So Uranus is the end of a warp route, and fleets go in and out of it? The writers knew exactly what they were doing here
Y'know, with Terra's population, coupled with the prestige of actually owning a residence there, i wonder how expensive it would be to even own something the size of one of those Hong Kong "apartments" that are basically just big enough to contain a bed to lay on and sit up somewhat in.
Not much
I think they wrote on Lexicanum that a small apartment or condo on Terra costs as much as a huge mansion or housing estate on another world
Kinda wierd that Earth isnt some perfectly preserved paradise world where the most powerful live, being the capital of the Empire. What was the point of colonizing the galaxy (getting billions of humans to leave Earth)? If Earth still became some dried up, overpopulated Coruscant-eque mega city shithole anyway. Sometimes GW takes this Grimdark shit too far for the sake of being edgy.
@@SagaciousNihilistWell it wasn’t always a shithole. Before the Age of Strife, Earth was your typical sci-fi future human homeworld. A good amount of it had become dense urban centers but there was still ample wildlife conservation. Earth was still prettier much drained of any resources necessary for industrial civilization however. When the Age of Strife had come, the entire galaxy was cut off from warp travel, so all the resources earth needed to survive were suddenly cut off. The result is that the planet descended into global nuclear war that killed most humans and caused the near total collapse of the environment. From that point until the Big E, Earth basically just became mad max with elements of sci-fi mixed in. Then Big E came along and unified the planet and started building a shitload of cities on it once again as it’s population increased rapidly. As you know, Horus’ massive temper tantrum occurred and Big E was put onto the golden throne. Then the Imperium turned into a religious cult and pilgrims flocked to Terra, driving up it’s population even more. 10000 years of population growth does some wacky shit.
Given what I know of Terran living standards and basic arrangements, not much. Usually, you’re born into a family that’s called the place home for generations, so you don’t really have to worry about paying it off, since you’ll be spending the rest of your life doing _just_ that anyway, as an adept of the Administratum or a menial in the imperial palace, of which there are currently more then the total number of bacteria found on the ass of an Ork.
Now this is a good topic, as someone who doesn’t really read any imperium based books for the most part I am totally unaware of things like this.
I’ve always wondered what the everyday citizen thinks happened to the traitor legions and their Primarchs. Do they know that they were originally the Emperor’s sons or do they think they’ve just always been daemons? Or do they even know they exist at all?
The few that know do think they're just daemons and think the Loyalist Primarch are the only Primarch
Not even high ranking imperials know about the demon primarchs. Only the Inqusition and others on their level do.
I think the everyday citizen doesn't think at all, lest he invite chaos into his mind
Beef that rule was abolished after the great rift opened. So people don't die when they learn of chaos. But the citizens probably don't know it
I heard that everyday citizens are not aware of mist of the shit that's happening in the global scheme, thats including the knowledge about space marines and primarchs
I like to think that, up there on Luna, they have a display containing the lunar lander, rover, and US flag that came with the very first successful manned mission to the moon.
The Flag's white at the current moment due to being exposed to radiation
@@baka_geddy Kinda like the statues of antiquity
I believe that malcador had the original lunar buggy in his private collection, and the first Mars rover
@@baka_geddy so it's the French flag now
@@alexejvecera6317 you meme on France but they’ve won the most battles in recorded history
The ironic part about the Void Dragon, is in Necron langue its name means 'Eater of Knowledge'. It also should be said that Luna was terra formed during the DAoT. So it has atmosphere if not much plant or animal life.
The real-life Luna had an atmosphere until it's magnetic field failed.
I'd love to see a vid on the warlords of Old Terra, the lore is so fascinating and is very underrated.
It would have been a great setting for a "Warhammer 30/40k" Total War game, simpler then the whole galaxy, just have the unification wars.
You think Neptune would be a more important world in the setting. A full ocean world that could be extracted and used as the water supply for terra.
Neptune is more of an ice world than ocean. While there is H2O, there os also high concentrations of frozen ammonia and frozen methane.
Either that. Or Neptune could have been a water-based Agri world that supplies Terra and the sol system with food that grows in the ocean.
the Sol system is super important, so it should have its own means of producing food.
@@captaincoolbreeze9429 Ammonia and methane could be very important. Mining world then
@@crazypissman6721 that makes the most sense!
It's not an ocean world. It's a small gas giant made up of like 98% hydrogen and helium with no obvious solid surface. I'm not saying it's not useful for extracting resources but it's not what you guys are suggesting.
Getting a video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs would react to being in Guillimans situation of lord commander and seeing how they would each run or destroy their own now religious empire would be so cool .
absolutely. it would be great to see how Angron would go WITHOUT the Nails. And just his military prowess enhanced by his natural empathic nature. Or watch Lorgar run a non religious hellhole, one that turns into a paragon of the Imperial Truth.
I'm surprised he hasn't already done it

A lot of futurists have said that Jupiter would be a massive powerhouse in the future, with almost a hundred mineral-rich moons and captured asteroids, a limitless supply of deuterium for fusion, and a strategic location it could very easily be considered it's own solar system.
In 3001 they managed to turn Jupiter into a second sun
There's a cool video that shows how Jupiter blocks about half of the asteroids from outside our solar system thanks to it's gravity. It's the single most dangerous place in our system when it comes to getting hit by an asteroid.
@@Groza_Dallocort but I think it only lasted 30,000 years.
@@logangrimnar3800 alright been years since I read that book
During the Solar war the Imperial fists actually blew up Pluto's moons as a trap for the traitor legions. The Fists made a feint and looked like they were retreating. But then detonated the moons and did a 180 to attack the traitor vessels who were is disarray.
Thank you, Mr. Horsefucker
The best part of the blood angels on Neptune, was that they just turned the mutants into more blood angels. They did this to so many of them, that by the end, the legion grew
A video on how each primarch would react in Gullimans place would be a cool idea
Now we need to know what happened to each of the primarch's hone world.
He did that already.
Surprise, it's all shite lol
Surprise, it's all shite lol
The Lion blew them up
I love you never run out of extremely interesting concepts to cover. Really appreciate the content
GW not giving more history and lore to planets in our system beyond terra and mars is a real missed opportunity in my opinion
Majorkill here is the new idea: to which chaos god would all 18 pre-heresy primarchs and legions fall?
I have my own head cannon for the khornian heresy where any traitorous primarch falls to khorne
I think Luna also produces a very small amount of what can only be described as magical weapons.
Here's a video idea! What if someone else was made Warmaster instead of horus? How would each Primarch have fared in the role?
That ideas been done to death bro
@@Vihara2 umm...how?
Getting a video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs would react to being in Guillimans situation of lord commander and seeing how they would each run or destroy their own now religious empire would be so cool . (i copy pasted this to join the crusade)
Can you do all spaceship classes? That would be cool
I can't describe how entertaining your videos are, i think i'm addicted. Thank you dude for the exquisite content and all the laughs
Day seventy six of asking majorkill to compare Abaddon and Archaeon
@SpacePirateBollocks and you are?
GW needs to develop new lore as we discover new dwarf planets.
I kinda like the fact that even tho Terra seems to be one of the most populated Planets anywhere in the Imperium, every single Lifeform could EASILY perish in the blink of an eye at any moment if the Proteus Protocol was to be activated, racking up a kill count not seen since the War in the Heaven.. comfy powder keg indeed.
You mean the Terminus decree?
@@harrymcgrory2531 At this point I ain't even sure what I meant the term I used was so far off lmao, thanks for your correction dude. Wasn't there some seperate thingy installed to prevent Chaos from flooding realspace when Emps would not be on his chair or is that mechanism a part of the Terminus Decree itself?
@@EugnusMaximus Vulkan's nuke?
To summarize the entire sol system is basically a massive ctiy stretching across the system. With each planet basically being different districts and serving various roles for the capital region which is terra.
basically, Terra is the city and the planets are the suburbs
I feel immense joy when you upload.
Your analogies (as always) are, top-tier Sir.
Really good to see you back again Major
Hello Majorkill,
Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
Dude even after years of absorbing Warhammer content, I’m only just now learning about the history of our solar systems’ planets in it.
It’s just like you said in your “Why I love Warhammer” video; there’s always just so much more to learn from this franchise. :D
thanks for the video ! , I have a suggestion for a video 5 Space Marines that would deserve to become primaris , One would certainly be Tyberos
Really cool Vid MK
Interesting stuff and reminds me that it would be cool to run a 'Dark Heresy' ttrpg campaign in the Sol system.
^UNDERRATED, awesome Majorkill vid!
Man am I glad it's easier to get model from your shop, those xenonids are the chefs kiss
Love watching your videos and send them to people who wonder what 40k is because of the light hearted fun you jab at the lore. I often make the joke to my wife that she is the Gal you are referring to in the intro since she started playing 40k.
Awesome video concept
That might be the best Uranus joke I have ever heard. Well done.❤
After all this time you still catch me off guard an make chuckle you drongo.
Major Minis has invaded the GW imperial stronghold of the UK using VAT. I look forward to looking back on this in a lore video in 10 years time.
Thanks for doing this video man appreciate it 👍 👍
Excellent lore!
Majorkill videos are what I look forward to
Your king ork (krork) having a equivalent retinue as your xenonids would be awesome
That was pretty cool, didn't think to consider the other planets of the solar system in the war hammer setting.
Majorkill, we now need an Imperial Navy Lore video
Nice!!!!! Im glad this is the one that got picked.
Speaking of planets, a video about important or was important planets throughout the imperium would be nice
I think a video of the greatest 1 v 1 fights in Warhammer 40k would be pretty cool
Good video as always
Now that you mention the mona lisa exists in 40k I think you should do a video on other references to our own history iirc one of them is the mechanicus being in posession of teslas skull
Maybe do a video on the Imperiums aircraft? I didn't think they had air superiority fighters till I looked it up.
Lots of them mentioned in the Horus heresy books.
Iron Warriors pilot theirs unlike other legions who use human pilots afaik.
Because in a setting where interstellar travel it makes sense that nobody uses air craft
@@linkholderAll factions use aircraft
@@linkholder
They used Superiority Aircraft both Voidcraft (Superiority in the Real space fighter) and Atmospheric Airctaft (Only in Planetary Ground & Atmosphere), Only difference is Average 40k Normal Aircraft is sized B-52 Bomber but with more in sane speed and plasma
I have researched this to no end but have found nothing. Happy to see someone finally on the case
Watching this drunk just hits different. Instead of getting to watch one majorkill video, i get to see three. At the minimum.
Cheers lads.
The emperor protects!
Also on Pluto, it's smaller than most moons in the solar system, and it's not even the biggest object in it's orbit around the sun - of course given how absurd everything is in the 40k setting it's not implausible that they decided "fuck it, we're going to make Pluto a real planet by taking all the other asteroids in the belt and slamming them into Pluto to make it a real planet".
Wait, Uranus is a stable warp route? That's canon? God damn it, GW!
The musk bit had me rolling 😂
Brilliant!
ayyy sick video that i haven't seen before
I always enjoy your content
Just discovered your channel and was playing this in front of family 😂.
Just bought the king ork a few days ago and I can’t wait for it to get to me
Gotta love the cheeky imperial star destroyer in orbit around mars there.
Love you broski!
Fun fact about Pluto, one of the Judged chapters (aka those Space Marines trolled into directly assaulting the Eye of Terror by a secretly Chaotic Ecclesiarch) would make landfall as part of Typhus' Plague Fleet, having been absorbed into the Death Guard as an elite vanguard who'd been led by Mortarion himself on more than one occasion, and their leader massacred a squad of Custodes and split one in half by vomiting acid on him and then breaking him over his knee. I mean, a random Grey Knight mind-bulleted him to death moments later, but still amazing he got as far as he did.
Nice and interesting Video 👍
Interesting that the map you showed included Pluto and Makemake as planets. Guess that means they'll clear their orbital paths within the next 38 thousand years.
ships come and go in and out of the sol system via Uranus ¬.¬ that is the literal understanding of toilet humour even if it was unintentional XD
I've never clicked so fast on anything other than Majorkill's vids
Never did I realise they had to fight a war against Uranus while horrors kept popping out of it 😂
Nice, I was always wanted to know what happened to Uranus
The story of the emperor's flagship would be great.
Life inside the imperial palace would a great video. Going over various jobs, duties, and who lives there.
The Kingsman reference has me imaging some Arbite or Guard Officer going insane in a church to the Emperor.
Always wanted to know this
From the first second of the video i was waiting for the URANUS jokes... Mate did not fail me and i am day drinking because of this happiness... Thank you mate cheers from Turkey
The, “Here we are” got me.
Great vid majorkill could you please cover gaunts ghosts.
Long time listener, first time caller here. "Terra" is actually the name of Earth in the real world, just like "Sol" and "Luna" are the names of our sun and moon.
Holy Heck, Majorkill reading my mind or some shit, legit was just thinking about this the other night....
Well done on the tax thing!
Man you're busting out some degenerately good content these days! Keep it up bro!
I fucking DIED at 7:58. Nothing beats warhammer lore delivered in the funniest way possible. Keep it up Major

That’s the first art where I can actually see some the continents on Terra.
This is the earliest I have been to a video. I love your work. You're the only reason my wife is any way interested in WH.
Think I'd like to hear a bit more about this xeno race of Jupiter
That church scene from Kingsmen is exactly how I’d picture a chaos-induced free-for-all on earth to play out
Thank you, Uranus is also pretty interesting.
How nice for Uranus its never normally considered the front door
Love the three star wars star destroyers in the mars picture
Hey majorkill sure we get some more necron video
G'day! Loving the video boss!
You totally missed starting with Pluto then moving to Uranus and hitting us with the front door/back door joke there...
Talk about the what ifs visions shown to Lorgar like him killing Lorgar or Sigismund dying at Phall
Really curious if they're going to go back and retcon the Emperor's (pre-BC) origins. Seems GW has moved away from the more goofy lore of the early days and more towards hard-SF recently.
