    Review the 13 amp Greenworks machine next time. Much more up to date

    I'm considering the newer Greenworks DT13B00, priced similar to the Sun Joe and also can scarify.

      Oh nice I didn’t know they had this. I’m interested to see how it performs.

    PEOPLE all of these little De-thatchers are the same. They're all cheap and most manufactured by the same factory with a different name stamped on it.

      @@RINGOTVReactions but they work well 😆

      @@HomegrownHowTo yes they do work well. My point for comment wasn’t to take away from your content. My point was to just make people understand to just buy one and get to work cause they’re pretty much all the same and will last based on proper care or you may buy one that will die after a week. I prefer the 15amp wide Dethatchers. Mine is from another brand from Amazon.
      What I’m learning more about is something called verticutting (spelling may be off). Seen videos with a company that make cartridges for these cheap machines but they want $200 plus for them which is crazy. They list names of machines they work for and I’m sure they work for other machines too based on size.
      I spent a lot of money on lawn care and made many mistakes. Now I have a full understanding on how to properly care for and maintain a good green lawn. Verticutting is the only thing I’m learning more about cause they said it’s better than using the scarifier cartridge.

      @@RINGOTVReactions no doubt. I just used another one from Amazon and it worked just as well. Lawn care is game man! Sometimes it gets the best of you. But when that lawn is lush and green and your hard work is showing. It’s a great feeling. 😂 Keep up the good work!

    Why compare a 10 amp Greenworks against a 12 amp Sunjoe? At least you could use the 13 amp Greenworks to really be fair

    Good comparison! Does the collection bag come with Sunjoe useful ?

    • @HomegrownHowTo
      @HomegrownHowTo  Рік тому

      I don’t think it’s useful. It fills up way to fast. If I were to use I’d be spending more time emptying it 😂. I just blow into a big pile and then rake it up.

    Wish you had not split the lawn like that. The Greenwork one was in a mostly shaded area vs mostly sunny for Sunjoe so of course the thatch will be different. Should be split the lawn going other directions so both had sun and shade spots.

    • @HomegrownHowTo
      @HomegrownHowTo  2 місяці тому

      @@serg1740 good input I did not think of. To your point I would think the shaded area would have more thatch due to the cooler temps and less microbial activity. 🤷🏼‍♂️ maybe I’ll try this test how you mentioned and see if results differ. Thanks for watching!

    Can I dethatch during the summer? Bermuda grass, high desert.

    • @HomegrownHowTo
      @HomegrownHowTo  Рік тому +1

      For Bermuda, yes. Late Spring/early summer is it’s prime time for dethatching.
      Cool season lawns should only be done in early spring and fall. If others read this.
