+sheila burchfield oh woooow! Am happy to hear this! 👍. I have a video of how to cook the jollof rice in the OVEN too. Just click on this link to watch👇 ua-cam.com/video/d8Wryd_IWyo/v-deo.html
Saw this video this morning, tried it out this evening, this recipe is super dope. Not only is this very fast compared to the old parboiling and then frying method but the rice came out crisp and dry. Thanks for the recipe ma'am
I'm here again to comment on my delicious rice I made yesterday. I read where someone said that most oven goes up to 430 degrees Fahrenheit; my oven goes up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. I carefully followed instructions, and took my time to make this dish, because I didn't want it spoiled. I baked it at 430 degrees Fahrenheit, and it looked just as wonderful, as the one in the video; it was very delicious! Thank you for sharing your knowledge; God bless you always. ❤💚💜💛
+Doonwati Singh... Hi, it was me saying that 430 was about max heat on a UK domestic oven, even a good one (my RangeMaster 90 goes up to 220C=430F approx.)... But I'd agree that US cookers have oven settings going higher than that, as is evident on lots of UA-cam videos. I wonder why? 500F is about 260C, which I don't see on any UK ovens. Well, I knew we Brits were pretty cool folks, but it seems that extends to our cookers too!... ;0)
OMG! My mind is blown! I will totally try this recipe! I've been looking for another way to cook fried rice, and this seems to be it! Thank you so much, hun! :)
For those who didn't know what a scotch bonnet is, it's a very very hot red chili akin to a Habanero or Thai red chili. Both of those are good substitutes if you don't have Scotch bonnets.
wow,,,,, That is so incorrect.... // they're not Hot, they're flavorful,,,, you simply adjust how much you USE in the dish,,,,,,i like flavor to blend,,, so i use maybe 1/2 or even a 1/4.....,,,,,, if you use 2,3 or More it will just taste like PEPPERS,,,,,, serious, your misleading people,,,,,,,, it's Flavoful,,,, Use little bit and go from thee,,,,it is Not red hot,,,// smh
Wow this is delicious thanks for sharing I don't know how to cook it this way before I will give it a try thank you new friend and a sister one love keep us together with bell on
This dish looks delicious but beginners like myself would appreciate a recipe. Eyeballing is for those who have experience. Just a thought for your future videos. ☺ Great job.
Thank you for the recipe, would love to try it ☺ Could you please give exact measurements for each ingredients please? It would really help an inexperienced cook like me 🙃
I have never thought of frying rice in oven but iam glad that I have found your channel so now am going to add this to my food collection and impress my guest , just acting like it is mine own doings ...🤣🤣🤣😘😘😘😘👍👍👍😍😍🤐
Cass Gann, did your shrimp get tough/rubbery from cooking them for such a long time If you are in the US or use an oven with the temperature in Fahrenheit, can you tell me at what temperature setting you baked your rice? Thanks.
Good video, thx 4 sharing! Looks tasty 😍 English tip- no need to add an S to the end of shrimp when you have more than one, it is one of the exceptions to the rule :)
I baked the first half for about 15 mins. Stired it and baked for another 10 mins. I set the burner at up and down settings then at 220° like shown in the video

Look really good... But you can't call bake rice as fried rice..I like to try it though!!!
How much temperature in the oven
3 stock of cubes, that is alot of MSG, and sodium. I think I would use only one cube, not for me to eat because I am vegan, but my kids would love this.
SUNSHINE JOSEPH yes looks a lot to me too... I will rather use one
I just used homemade chicken stock
Sunshine Joseph, you could use the sodium-free bouillon cubes made by Herb-ox.
I was about to say so myself too much spices too much cubes but it looks delicious and has lovely texture
I'm vegan and made this. Substitute the meat with things like mushrooms etc and my stock cubes don't have MSG. I love veganizing different recipes.
It is very good 100%

Aww thanks a lot! You will love it.
so you don’t boil the rice for a bit before transferring it to the oven? It said to turn off the fire when you add the rice
