I want to come back to Poland so badly! I was there in 1975, before you were born, when it was still Communist. Quite an eye opener for a young 18 year old girl. I went with a Polish folk dance group and we went to Krakow, Zakopane and Warsaw, touring for a week. Then we were on our own for another week. My 70 year old Babci, who had not been back since she left as a girl during WWI, had come along so she and I went to the village she grew up in and then to my grandfather’s. Both were in the Lublin area. We had family in Lublin also. Afterwards, we rejoined our group back in Warsaw. She went back again with her sister to visit family. By that time I was married with children so it never happened. My mother always wanted to go and we had hoped to take a trip with her, but we lost her innNovember of 2021. I want to go back and take my two young, adult sons and my husband. And given the state of the United States, I almost would like to move back!

I am 3rd generation Polish American, and still 100% Polish (according to 23andMe) and I want to visit Poland and trace my roots so badly! Maybe in 2024!
Sooo many goodies, I tried them all as I was in Poland, The Food is amazing and much more tasty and cultivated as in Germany, The christmas vibes at Polish christmas markets are very similar like in Germany actually in my opinion have more intimacy and much more christtians symbols- thanks God yet. But the food is just fabulous and so diverse. Merry Christmas to you guys, great job!

Thank you for sharing your trip to Krakow. Seeing the Cloth Hall and square brought back memories of my visits. I love visiting Krakow, it always feels like “home” as I was born in Nowa Huta but moved to the USA as a child. I hope you took the opportunity to visit Saint Mary’s Basilica and Wawel. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Mark, I am not a fan of large crowds either, but I like to sit at an outside cafe and watch people.
I love how happy Mark is when he eats anything🤣🤣 the food in Poland especially at xmas markets is glorious as compared to any place in Europe and that includes Brussels! Wesolych Swiat!🎄🎄🎄

Krakow is very beautiful old town
OMG. Thank you so much for sharing your great country. My parents got a chance to visit Poland in the late 70's and took many pictures and bought many small trinkets to bring back home.Much scarier time back then with a soldier and machine gun on just about every corner but still beautiful. The photo's and some trinkets got organized into albums but most were to be done later in retirement. Well the stories of many of these things and pictures were told to us family members over the years , but the albums getting completed did not. Life got in the way and now flash forward till just last year when we lost both to illness Me and my sister going through our wonderful parents lives came across the albums in a book case with notes that now have a little connection.Sharing your travels of Poland we can see some of the places they visited and enjoy and put picture to place. Thanks for the video! Five of us are still close from school. We all went to Krakow to celebrate our 60th's birthday in December 2022, we was there when it was snowing & really cold! We had an amazing time, the Christmas market, we had a six hour tour of Auschwitz, the salt mine. The Polish people are so lovely welcoming, we all said we would definitely come & explore Poland

Sharing Christmas joy with you, at the Krakow market, was a pleasure. Since it's almost lunchtime here, it's time to rustle up some warm doggies. That is fried Polish Kielbasa on fresh sunflower bread and whatever else catches my fancy in the fridge.

Krakow is a great city. I've been there during the summer when another market festival was happening. Lots of great gastronomy and things to see and do.

Next time I am back in Krakow you must come down and pay me a visit for a couple of days. We can explore the less touristy side of Krakow / Kazimierz and you can try the huge variety of street food on offer! I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Hopefully I will be going over in the Spring.

This was great! I miss Kraków with the craziness of the crowds, hustle and bustle! As for szaszłyki, have you ever made them with thick slices of kielbasa, red peppers and slices of fresh pineapple? Sounds crazy- but they are good! Happy New Year!
