🚀I decided to upload this video to clarify things about the new version of Windows 11. If you have something else to add, leave it in the comments, and remember to share the video. Also, note that issues during the early days of a new release are expected, so what I'm saying isn't any new. I'm just reminding you of what happens when a new version comes out.
The author of the video is right and I completely agree with him. If you still don't get the update via Windows Update don't bother installing 24H2 as a clean install, just wait. For some it will come in the first days of its release, for others it will come within a few weeks. I got 4.10 on Friday after checking Windows Update. It didn't ask if I wanted to install the update, it just downloaded and installed. The whole update with downloading and installing took me about half an hour. Finally it said that the files of the old version of the operating system (23H2) need to be deleted. I did it and have been using the new build for two days now. It is important that the hardware is really compatible with the OS so that you don't have problems.
I already upgrade my 23H2 (unsupported) to 24H2. The big red button that says "24H2" is too strong to resist. So i did it. So far so good though (fingers cross)
It broke a lot of my games, hogwarts no longer works, far cry games using eac no longer work, silent hill 2 runs at 9fps, while others with my same gpu run sh2 at abt 30-40fps, at least games like metro, r6s and re2 still work fine, until theres a fix ill have to play these.
Another thing to keep in mind: 24H2 is said to completely remove Windows Mixed Reality support, so if you - like me - have a headset like the HP Reverb G2, installing the "update" will turn it into nothing more than a (really expensive) paper weight.
Thanks for the clear explanation.I was wondering why I wasn't getting the 24H2 update yet but I bought a custom made, pretty beefy gaming PC. I call it a 'Frankenstein' PC , b/c I hand picked all the hardware according to my liking. I got 4 internal SSDs for example and so on. So it might be a while before I receive the 24H2 update.Makes sense now. Thanks !
Being a AMD 7800X3D user I have been patiently waiting for this. I thought there was something fishy going on bc I was not getting update pushed to me. Good info my friend. I will just be patient and wait for MS to sort out the bugs and keep my eyes peeled for the update!
I'm still using Windows 10 on my laptop even though it's very powerful device and eligible for upgrade. I see that Microsoft is inclined towards making Windows 11 AI ready and they don't work on optimising the OS for the regular tasks.
I had performance and blue screen issues on 23H2 even after updating my bios to latest version, so i reinstalled windows with 24H2 and everything works without problems now, only missing some features like lock screen media player and such

Does the 24H2 have some issue like clipboard, etc, i made clean install and had it in first and i tried to do 2nd clean install and the issue is the same, is it only me ??
Sooo, Microsoft is useless is basically what your telling us. I've installed 24H2 on my 'unsupported' old PC, and laptop and everything is working perfectly. But my newer gaming PC that fully supports Windows 11 hasn't been offered the upgrade yet. Great show Microsoft, gee I wonder why so many people have lost faith in Microsoft. I'll just manually install Windows 11 on my supported PC, just as I did for my 2 unsupported.
for me reason to upgrade to 24h2 is support of HDR images (jxr) as wallpaper due to i keep my new monitor with HDR enabled all times. Well, if in my case some installed game that use easy anti cheat not updated and may be not updated at all (due to devs not care as some games is pretty old) then i not get update forever? stupid indeed. I mean most likely this is main reason why i not get update due to not compatible easy anti cheat because other cases for sure not related to me.

I upgraded to 24h2 and later rolled back to 23h2 only coz 24h2 has disabled network sharing.
