I ran your method last night on a Dell Intel Core i5-6200U from I'm thinking 2016 and everything went smooth as silk. I ran the keep all files method and it took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. I watched some other videos out there but they all race through it for the most part, you are calm, cool and collected. Afterwards I ran Chris Titus's terminal program to get rid of all the junk MS adds to the program. I have another pc built that is going to far surpass this one and I'm going to dual boot Linux and ween myself off Microsoft. Keep up the good work.
People seem to always say this, but I absolutely mean it. This is the BEST and most understandable, easy to follow win 10 to win 11 on unsupported PC I have seen in 5 days of searching and watching. I am not a PC wiz. Thank you so very much!
I own pc with i7-4770K CPU, 32GB DDR3, with no TPM 2.0, updated it 2 years ago to Windows 11 Pro and now running Windows 11 Pro v. 24H2 26100.2161and still running fine with no TPM 2.0. I used the Rufus method v 4.6 to Windows 11 24H2.
A great option for people who choose to upgrade rather than cleanly install. I always do the latter, but that the option is there is nice. Having said this, I only tried it on one device that wasn't supported, and it didn't work well, so I went back to W10. It kept freezing, and at different times. Sometimes during startup, sometimes while already booted into Windows. I already have other PCs with Windows 11, so it was just something I tried due to boredom. Though they've basically threatened it from the beginning, and most likely to get people to buy new or upgrade their own PCs, I can't actually see Microsoft cutting off updates for Windows 11 on unsupported devices. It would tick a LOT of W11 users off, and I don't think they'll choose to risk the backlash it may cause.
Hey! Its not so much they will cut them off its that they warn they may not work with your unsupported device. Its a chance you take. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you for a clear how to Windows 11. I will try this . However, as an amateur what size flash drive is required and how do I know what kind of English is used on the original install? Thank you so much. Liked and subscribed.
@mototakahe836 Hi, you can find your language settings by going to Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region. The flash drive only needs to be 8 gigs if you already have one. You likely want find one that small if you need to purchase. I have an amazon affiliate link here amzn.to/4es9q0y for one. Thank you for watching!
Hi. Nice clear instruction! My prob. is that the window "Windows User Experience" does not show in Rufus! I tried both the NOT portable and the portable and both from GitHub and from Rufus.ie. Q: What might be the issue??? Computer: Lenovo IdeaFlex 5 | Rysen 7 | BIOS-version/date: LENOVO JCCN41WW, 13-09-2024 | BIOS Mode: UEFI OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Home | Version: 10.0.22631 Build 22631
@The1stSunner I believe your Laptop is already supported by windows 11. You should not need this tool to update windows. You can go directly to Microsoft's website and use the media installation tool. That's probably why you aren't getting those options in Rufus
Hi, thats not something that can be bypassed as processors manufactured before 2008 dont contain the SSE 4.2 instructions. Thats what I was referring to in the video when I specifically called out CORE 2 Duo and Athlon 64 processors not being compatible. Thanks for watching!
Hi, this has not been my experience. I dont have enough information about your system or process to speculate but if you were not able to boot from the usb drive its more likely you need to change some bios settings .
I own a Dell Optiplex 780 PC with Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 3.00GHz, 6GB DDR3 ram, 1GB radeon hd 5450 graphics, no TPM 2.0, and I updated it 1 year ago to Windows 11 Pro v. 23h2, can I install Windows 11 Pro v. 24h2 on it?
If it Runs 23H2 theres no reason why it would not run 24H2. However I can not swear to that. Your Processor must be supporting SSE 4.2 for it to be running 11 at all so yours does. Test it out and let me know! Thanks for watching
@@RayKnowsTech I installed Windows 11 24h2 by burning the copy to a flash memory with Rufus to bypass the installation requirements, but when Windows starts installing and reaches 100%, it restarts to complete the operation, but what happens after the restart is that Windows stops at the logo and does not complete The opening process at all but he restart and repeat tried to open Windows stops at the logo

I am doing everything but when the Accept message should appear it shows me that "we cannot understand if your pc meets the minimum requirements". The only requirement that I don't have is TPM2
@@RayKnowsTechyes, i have searched a lot but i cannot find a solution. Clean install is not an option for me unfortunately. I can only upgrade. Thanks for the reply!
Hi, are you sure you are using the same setup language from the original install? Your particular situation might require a clean install vs. upgrade. Really hard to tell without more details. If I see a comment with a similar issue I will update you. Thank you
Hi, There are updates for windows 10 for another year. There are also updates for windows 11. The message was, if you install Windows 11 on an unsupported device some updates may not work for you. I had no issue with the updates. Thanks!
The creation of the USB media is done with Rufus, which I show in detail. I show the process of downloading the Windows 11 ISO, which I then state I already downloaded since that takes about 30 minutes to download. I did not skip a step. Thanks
Whats new are the updates to Rufus after the 24H2 release making it the easiest yet. I stated in the video these work arounds have been in place since the release of Windows 11. Thank you for your comment
