I miss seeing a chiropractor regularly. Your videos are a welcome reminder of what I can do to help myself at home. You are very kind to make them. Thank you.
I have neck pain back pain and a hump. I plan on putting all of the recommendations to use. I have already changed my pillows. Now for the exercises and foam roller.
I have some chronic pain coming on and looking to find a replacement for the chiropractic roller tables. Those feel amazing, but the time and cost are an issue. My t8 has some compression causing a horizontal line of discomfort and my right shoulder blade is about the same. So hopefully it'll work well. Probably 100% better at minimum than a paraspinal muscle roller that you roll on. For sure not messing with flat rolling on the lower back. I'm hoping a foam roller will help open up the back more. The chiropractor I was going to when I could, did a towel over the arms with fingers interlocked behind my head bear hug and that helped after the roller table session. I feel I must also say, this is with some p.t. exercises to help reinforce and light lifting limits.
Thank you, Dr. I'd like to know where you got that foam roller from! The decent-looking quality 123(backwards) brand on that world wide monopolized store aren't nearly as long as yours.
I have a big hump in my back and a lot of back pain. I have scoliosis and have had both knees replaced (75yrs old). I can’t get on the floor or kneel on my plastic kneecaps. Are there any exercises that can be modified for people with these issues? I often sleep on my back without a pillow as I thought the pillow might be contributing to my humped back. I will try the exercises that can be done while standing. Thanks.
Good question...it is definitely more difficult when some of the cause if from prednisone...but you should still be able to reduce it...watch this video for more information and please ask your doctor: ua-cam.com/video/3yP2xgIkEL4/v-deo.html
Not as much as you'd think...you can do this with any size...the only thing however is that some are quite firm and can be uncomfortable...all the best.
Have a question about how to and what to use a foam roller for? Ask here!

I find it is hard on the neck without supporting it. Can I the head with the hands rather than putting them on the chest?
@@astrikstar You certainly can, just do not pull forward on your neck...best wishes.

At a local sports equipment store.
The foam roller you suggest has various lengths. I’m 5’1” tall. What size do I need? Thank you.
Any size can work, just play around with the position until you find the right spot...best wishes.

Are these exercises OK for someone with cervical vertigo?
Should be yes, just keep neck stable when performing them.

Are back magic frames good to stretch your back, similar to the roll?
Yes they can be a good stretch. All the best!
If you are already in shape but have the hump because of prednisone use for foot issues .. will these exercises still work?

Does it matter what size foam roller, diameter?

A firm one.
