Awesome list. I've got all of these tools & toys & can't recommend them highly enough. 🔥

Thanks for the sale notice. Bought 3 that I have wanted!

Yeah, definitely a hoarder here; I already own all but FastReload. (Not sure about Odin Validator, but I did own it at one time as part of the GameDevGuild attendee giveaway.) The other two I would add to your list are "Fullscreen Editor" by Muka Schultze, which is great for screenshots or just to use a bigger monitor without having to build the game, and my personal favorite "Asset Inventory 2" by Impossible Robert, who has continued to add new features and is seriously making Unity's upcoming asset manager look completely amateur.

Great and very appropriate list. Glad to say I have all of them except 2. One day I need to stop buying assets and actually finsih developing ONE GAME!

Hi Jason! Thank you for your enormous contribution to my development of Unity programming, I watched every lesson and advice you gave, but now I really want to ask you as a person who spent a lot of time on Unity and as a mentor who taught me everything, let’s say we have a 3D model of the player and it is rigged and there are all animations, how would you spawn a weapon in the player’s hands and how exactly would you do it, I would like to ask you to give me advice on how to do it correctly, in my opinion I would set spawn points for each weapon relative to the hand and spawned it when changing or starting the game, but I think there is a better approach, so I turned to you!

SOAP is a great one. (ScriptableObject Architecture Pattern)
Has come a long way since it's initial release, always being improved.

Thanks Jason! I grabbed the Epic Toon FX. You (or anyone reading this) wouldn't happen to have any suggestions for quickly swapping between scenes during the development process?

@GiantsOnTheHorizon sometimes I add hot keys to do it but usually I use tabs with a tab for my scenes folder (when they're in a shared one)

I tend not to use them since I'm usually working in a single game scene, but two free ones I suggest trying to see if they work for you are "SCEMA - scene manager and loader" by Runemark Studio and Scene Manager Utility by Bayat Games. I have other assets by these publishers that I like and I happened to grab their free tools as well.

Looks like UA-cam deleted my comment. I don't really use them, but the two I suggest trying, as both are free, are "SCEMA" by Runemark Studio and "Scene Manager Utility" by Bayat Games.

RPG builder seems to be dead and buggy, judging from the recent months reviews.

How do you do custom cursors? So far I know 2 ways:
    1. change the hardware cursor with Cursor.Set....
    2. draw a sprite that follows a hidden cursor on UI canvas.
The problem with second approach is that it's frame and g-sync dependent.
Problem with first approach is that it's not as easy to streamline for swapping cursors (hotspot offsets...), and animations are a hassle...
I am considering doing a hybrid of the two, but maybe there is a better way?

A beginner should stay away from any paid asset.
If you're not sure you'll make money, don't waste $500 on a hobby project.
This is the third content creator talking about "Beginner Assets" for unity at the same week. I guess they are just sponsored by unity.

The reason you're seeing all these videos is because the theme of the current Asset Store Sale is "Stuff recommended by UA-cam influencers," basically.

You stand a far better chance at making money learning how to use tools in unity than playing games. I would bet you have never gone on a trailer for a game and asked why people would buy the game since playing games is not profitable. Sometimes a tool interface is more understandable than the API, granted everyone should learn the API for Unity if you want to develop anything. So who knows.
