That's right NavaTheBeast and Kyle back went at it again but instead of doing the Marine PFT we both tried to knock out the Air Force PT test or the USAF fitness test. This is NavaTheBeast's first time attempting to do the Air Force PT test. If you guys are curious to see how we did in this Airman vs Marine video be sure to watch until the end! Thanks for supporting the US armed forces! God Bless!

Morgan Freeman's voice:
And on that day, not a single pushup was done by the Marine.
He literally didn’t even do ONE proper push-up
@@jimmypadilla9328 Totally agree, but we knew he would smoke the run.

Same, hahaha
Chair Force
quick question, are u a soldier ?
Tom Tran Are you asking me? My husband is in the air force.
Chair Force, leading the way lolol
Yep; we all know that marines are generally more physically strong while airmen are generally more academically strong. In the end, though, the differences are small and are really more due to the differences in specialty. Marines need to be more physically strong because of their increased combat role. Airmen have a lot more jobs that are less physically demanding, but require more intellectual capability. However, both branches require both qualities. In the end, both are part of the United States military.
John C so true tho!!
John C then there’s the Marine airman, who can both read and understand an engineering textbook and kill you with it.
@@RADIOACTIVEBUNY air force has people that will put a bullet between your eyes from 100 ft if they need to.. Every one is different due to the situation.
If I was ground troop I would love for a drone to be over my head so I can sleep. Everyone benefits from someone else. At the end of the day, it's a team who wins. Not one person
for all those idiots who think you have to be smarter to be in the air force... lol. the marines have nearly all the same enlisted jobs as the air force.. so....... na.
So TRUE. Brotherly love and service rivalry is ALWAYS healthy! I spent 20 years in the Corps and there wasn't ONE time we'd be running our PFT, I'd see the Navy running their PRT 1.5 miles and think to myself, "Damn, I'm halfway to finish, but I'd ALREADY be done if I was a Sailor!" 😂😂😂 Overall, proud I served in the Corps, and appreciate those that serve/served in other branches! GET SOME. 💪⚡⚡
Army in the comments after seeing the “push ups”: hold my beer.
Definitely not one push-up completed smh. They know better.
Marines actually do tricep pushups normally, they had to do Air Force push ups
Like at least go down all the way, and go up all the way lol
Really, every push up the Marine did 0,0,0,0,0,0,0 and that's a no-go.
Exactly lmao
It's nice seeing a marine and airmen getting along.
They all get aling no matter the branch. They all fight enemies of the US
Yeah the rivalry is jokes
the only people who believe the rivalry amongst the different branches is true are the "was going to join" veterans.
Michael Young I’m an airmen and 3 of my best friends are all marines but we treat eachother just the same. With expectations and attitudes
We all rib each other but its all in good fun, in the end we all got each others back.
In the Army we call those ZERO'S
In the air force they are also zErOs. They both didnt go low enough.

they're marines what do you expect
@@Internet_Guy99 Muscles Are Required Intelligence Not Expected. Everyone makes jokes about the Marines are the best at pt yet they show that? I expect him to know how to beat his face.
The Navy does too 🤣
"Zero, zero, zero, zero, zero" Both failed the pushups
NPC #7231986 these are the pushups they make you do. Better pushups mean taking longer going up, but that can’t be timed.
@@NotShowingOff I had to do full pushups in my Army PT tests if we didn't do a good one it didn't count.
Rock of the Marne
Arvind Talukdar no they don’t, they make you go all of the way up, the Air Force wouldn’t count any of those
We all know the Air Force pt test only has one event. And that is how fast can you walk back from the px with a cup of coffee without spilling it.
It's BX for Air Force.
hahahahaha
The G force test is where things get rough in the Air force
Wait, walking back? Doesn't the air force have private taxis?
Nah I think they take their jets and fly them to go to the place needed. Need a cup of coffee but the boiler is 3 feet away? Sorry mate gotta get them keys.
Six years in the USAF in the 1970’s & I NEVER did one PT test during my entire enlistment including basic training. I had the measles in basic so I was in sick bay when the PT test was given. During the last week of basic, the TI asked who hadn’t taken or passed the PT test & I was the only one. The TI told me to be ready for it the next morning, but the next morning was cold and windy. The TI looked at me and said “You passed!”.
Push-ups - no rep, no rep, no rep... Or in Drill Sergeant terms - 1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3...

It’s only in the army that’s there push up version
@@veniciyuh5478 Thats not true at all. USMC drill sergeants will count crappy pushups as 0's also.

I like the fact that you both stated that we are all brothers. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines ALWAYS give each other a hard time, but this is to push each other to be the best. Any individual that has served will tell you that it doesn't matter in which branch you served....it is good enough that you served. Good video...keep it going brothers!
The whole time the marine was doing the push up i can hear a PT instructure counting 1....1....1....1.....1
My god, those pushups. All you would be hearing is 1, 1, 1, 1.
Exactly
Not true at all spoken from a active duty soldier right now, you damn well know people don't do those things with this correct form as you call it and by reg i believe it only says your elbows have to bend to be parallel to your back.
+Richard Hudspeth does your chin or chest have to touch the ground?
We have to do it elbows 90 degrees and up fully. Or you'll be hearing "1,1,1,1,1,1"
+Richard Hudspeth Take a joke dude. lol
Hey gents. Well done. Way to push each other. When deployed, services all come together with unique and varying skill sets. Great show of warrior spirit and camaraderie. I am a Marine but have had the benefit and outstanding support of the Air Force on many occasions. All inter service rivalry seems to disappear when the bullets are really flying.
His pushup is the equivalent of your chin not crossing the bar when doing a pull-up.
LOL
Not a single one of those marine pushups would have counted (AF Special Operations 2012 - Present)
Noticed that also (Army 99-04)
Maybe 2 or 3 of the airman’s would have. What’s your point?
LongDongDaddyFromCincinnati the point is that it’s not a correct pushup, your elbows need to be down by your side.
@@Perryoutdoor Thank you, i was wondering about this. i do push ups with my elbows in, but everyone i watch does them with elbows flared out.

the zero G space force PT test is insane
Air Force PT test...can you walk 100 yards in less than 4 hours?
Passed!
Air Force basic in 1985. 6 weeks long. By the 6th week we were running a mile and a half. But it was more like a brisk walk. We jogged in formation at a very slow pace. When it rained we ran in place under a canopy. It was cake.
Basic has changed a lot lol
🤣
AF basic training 1988, UM....never saw that. However, I was very disappointed in the lack of how physical it was. My hockey practices were alot tougher.

Kojack the standard air force pushup requirement is for elbows to break 90 degrees and feet need to be 2 feet apart. These guys are doing dips not pushups.
@@grantwalter2243 Dips are with a bar, not on the ground.
*BLACK* *SCREEN* yeah i know but idk what else to call them.
@@grantwalter2243 Those are still push ups, with timing standards it's literally impossible to do the full range of motion on a push up and get a high score. Every branch just makes it where you just need to get low enough basically.
Ok here's a joke: What do you call a marine with an IQ over 100... A platoon! Haha jk jk much love!

The hardest part is holding the next Joe's feet after you've finished your sit-ups!

I was in the military for 6 years and every time I saw Air Force people during PT hours they were always standing around talking to each other
I was in the USAF back in the 80's. We never did PT. One time the 1st Sergeant inspected our rooms in the barracks and we bitched him out. The Air Force had a cleaning sevice clean our latrines and showers.
I saw the AF LINE UP for PT formation once, but that was it.
I'm sorry but those aren't push-ups
Prolyxe as if u can do 67 in a minute, proper form
Optimal Assault That's impossible. Since 1 pushup should be way slower to maximize the whole chain.

Those are some bullshit push ups. The arms need to fully extend.
let's see you do maximum wide grips, let's see how high and low you can go
Bluegillpro12 What does that have to do with proper push up form?
YungMono that was proper form, like I said, try it, and see how many you can do
+Bluegillpro12 Proper form does not necessarily mean maximum width. just means to 90 degrees and fully extended at the top
+Bluegillpro12 if you try to rep out as many as you can for any exercise with any form you'll get tired regardless
I mean is anyone else a little upset that both of them couldn't do a proper push-up? Cause both of those wouldn't have counted.

Must be the crayons.
Push up zero and a civilian like me do more
look guys im in the army here, and regardless of what branch you are in, those push-ups would have counted. It's not about form, because regardless of form they still hurt after a while and its hard to knock out as many as some guys do. Those looked pretty good to me. So good job guys, that's just my opinion.
***** I agree. Watching your videos I'd like to assume you're a pretty wholehearted and hard-working individual ( of course I don't see how you are behind the scenes ;) ). But I respect that, where a lot of these people military or not see one flaw, which may not even actually be a flaw and use it to try and bring you down. Which is human nature I guess. In my opinion, even before I joined the Armed Forces, I believed you shouldn't talk down on pretty much anyone who has served, because they made the sacrifice that the accuser didn't, which is risking their lives VOLUNTARILY I might add, to selflessly serve their country. That to me gets the most out of my respect. Sorry for the long message (late night rant since i'm in the states) but good job to you guys, and keep the videos coming!
No... no they wouldn't have. Not in the Army. 0 Army pushups performed. It's not about anyone being put down it's just a difference in requirements/regs by branch.
“...
ON THE COMMAND ‘GO’, BEGIN THE PUSH-UP BY BENDING YOUR ELBOWS AND LOWERING YOUR ENTIRE BODY AS A SINGLE UNIT UNTIL YOUR UPPER ARMS ARE AT LEAST PARALLEL TO THE GROUND. THEN, RETURN TO THE STARTING POSITION BY RAISING YOUR ENTIRE BODY UNTIL YOUR ARMS ARE FULLY EXTENDED. YOUR BODY MUST REMAIN RIGID IN A GENERALLY STRAIGHT LINE AND MOVE AS A UNIT WHILE PERFORMING EACH REPETITION.
...”
+Highjak86 when I was in the 101st, they definately didn't count if we did not break the plane. one of my later platoon sergeants, former ranger black hat, would train us to do pushups down to your partners fist. that made the difference for our platoons pt scores.
Most graders in the Army would have passed him, but there are some that wouldn't have counted them. His pushups weren't perfect. They Your arms and your shoulders should be completely even and parallel well in the down position of the pushup. His weren't quite down all the way. But, to be honest, that's how I've done pushups during an APFT before and 2 out of 3 graders will accept it as close enough.
I'm in the Army, too. The fuck is wrong with you? The Marine's didn't count at all. His arms weren't full extended. Obviously you've never administered an APFT.
YO HE DID NOT DO 1 PUSH UP 😂😂😂 in the Army you have to fully extend
Resort The Air Force is the same, push ups weren't good at all
In the Air Force you do too. The majority of those wouldn’t have counted.
Same in the Marine Corps
In my middle school class that’s the same. I know i sound weak but i didn’t get 1 push-up because the pe teacher kept telling me to go lower and my nose was already on the ground.
11Frodo11 No your chest doesn’t need to hit the ground. But your elbows need to break 90 deg.
Thank you for your service guys! ❤️
Thank you for your service sir
Those push ups would not count in an Army Apft
lol Army is fucking nasty anyways dude.
+LOCO808 yes the Army is nasty. They're so nasty they'll let you keep doing a bunch of shitty push ups, then they will tell you to stop after and explain to you that your push up forms are shit and that you have to start over. Lol

Omg. Nava looks so smooth running 👌
You'll lose the bird chests if you stop half reppin
Shorter height and less body mass is an advantage in these type fitness tests. A reason the Army just changed their recruit fitness test that hasn't changed since 1980. Now, it is a combat physical performance test.
That moment when Kyle is the only fit airman.
With the run, you gotta remember that the marines have to run 3 miles in under 28 minutes. So 28 divided by 3, thats 9.3
The chair force and asvab for dummies got me. What a great way to start.
Kyle: tall and lanky, pretty lean but somewhat muscular.
Nava: BIGASS arms and a tiny chest
you’re actually blind if you think java has a tiny chest lol
Them weren't push-ups! I count 0!!! Hooah!!
Victor Williams as long as there forearm is parallel hooah it counts
Shav Scott Whoever told you that has no idea what they're talking about. The augmentees explain (and demonstrate) the correct form before every Air Force PT test. There's also AFI 36-2905, in case you're wondering just how much more there is to a correct Air Force pushup.
well in army regulation as long you fully extend ur arms coming up on a repetition and fully bend ur elbow so its parrallel to ur body its counts #ARMY
Shav Scott I haven't read the Army reg, but I'm willing to be there's more to it than that. Also, the point of Victor Williams' comment is that neither of the guys in this video fully extended their elbows (especially not the Marine).
Victor Williams only way the airforce can win against a marine is disqualification
This is crazy!! Military is one of the most HARDEST and gruelling places to endure
You have to go all the way down when doing push-ups you should now that
It's Know Not Now.. Definitely not AF material.. Jkjk😅

Or see a marine be a crew chief.
yea, the pushups wouldn't pass apft either, but maybe if you got a grader that didn't really care :[

Marine fitness standards are quite a bit higher than other branches.
Awesome, good to see the camaraderie!
How easy is that pushup requirement when you don't have to extend all the way up. Those looked like Warrant Officer pushups!
Uhhhh 0 Army pushups... did not fully extend. The usaf started well...
There's also a huge difference in the number of reps for pushup/situp and run time for the PT between males and females, and age.
Right away the push ups were done incorrectly. Maybe you should ready the proper way to do them.
“Begin by lowering your body to the ground until your upper arms are at least parallel to the floor (elbows bent at 90 degrees) then return to the up position (arms fully extended but not locked). This is one repetition.”
I love the Air Force, thank you God bless you all.

Mark Metzgar II that ain’t no lie... he would be at 1. 1 push-up in 50 seconds
I'd like to see an Army APFT haha not being bias or anything but just from seeing the Marine and Airforce PT test I feel the Army holds a higher standard. With proper form too! Haha keep up the great videos!
No.
Exactly. Army looks at form the most. Especially on push-ups. If you don't lock out and go down two inches from the ground they won't count it
marine corp pft is much, much more difficult
+Dillon Watkins I've taken both, personally i think pushups and army sit ups are harder.
Army is all about form could of got 300 every time doing this Air Force PT test.
Much respect gentlemen! Thank you for your service!
A real push up is having your chest coming about an inch from the ground every single time.
Bullyjuice should of did the PT test and represent for the Air Force
Brings back alot of memories.
When i was in the Army in the mid 80's they wouldn't have counted any push ups that didn't "break the plane", and several other criteria. I was being tested one fine summer day in Ft Dix and the little tyrant private scoring me only counted 30 out of the the 50 something I did. 40 were required in 2 minutes to pass the test. He'd say 12, you didn't go down far enough, 12 you're not breaking the plain, 12 your butt's in the air, and so on. Little prick private.

Thgfdgggvhh
When did you go through Dix? I was there late summer '89
Mark Enriquez 40 to pass but it should’ve been 80 for perfect.
@@chiefsilverstacker1176 80 is impossible. Maybe 70-75 is but 80 definitely isn't if you do full extension and chest to ground.
*BLACK* *SCREEN* also you chest doesn’t need to hit the ground.... I don’t know where you got that from. Pt regs say you have to break a 90 degree angle and fully extend upwards after. Do you even military bro?
They call us the chair force, and yet, we don't sit any more or less than the other branches. I do sit in an office to do my job, BUT do you know who's sitting next to me? (literally in the same office) Marines, Sailors, and Soldiers. I've never really understood calling the Air Force "Chair Force". If four people are doing the same thing, would you single one out and nickname him based on the action that everyone is doing? (Edit: spelling)
Calm your tits bubba.its all good...Semper
I mean most sailors would agree they deserve some sitting time after being in the feet for four years, and being underway, being a sailor is much tougher than people realize
I meant fleet btw not "feet"
The point is how many airmen actually go to combat? Try marine corps infantry school
"Chair Force"
"At least we're smart enough to grab chairs."
Love it, only we can mess with each other. Terms of endearment. Navy Corpsman, smarter then a Marine, tougher then a Sailor... Semper FI
