We are now one week post LA Pet Fair and only three weeks out from the Reptile Super Show in Anaheim, CA. I really enjoy the time in between expos when I get to move at a slower pace and take my time with my animals. We usually have some sheds while stacking meals and animals come in looking better and better. We have a highly anticipated Indonesia shipment arriving on Tuesday morning so we will have an unboxing video next week along with some show preview content. This is going to really round out the diversity that DM Exotics is famous for. Thanks for watching!!!
NOTE: We have turned on Super Thanks...if you enjoy our content and the tremendous amount of time, work and money invested in a project such as this, please consider helping us out.

11:30 - You are faster than I thought! Movin' damn good for a big guy! Thanks for the hearty laugh! That was great.
Just learned about you a few months ago. I've kept reptiles since the 50's. My parents got me exotics from importers from the early 60's. I still have price list from many importers dating back to early 60's to the 90's. I really enjoy your videos...keep it up !😊
My company has only been around since 1997. I was breeding and selling reptiles before that but not in the 50's or 60's. I am kind of a hybrid of old school and new school which is actually pretty strong with what I do.
Thanks for the responce. I've been retired for a while & PTSD keeps me away from crowds like reptile expos & shows. I like what you're doing. I got involved with several importers & saw the other side & so much fatalities on shipment like leaving shipments on the tar Matt's @ the airport to loose to the temps...always wild caught....I'm very happy to see you're care & captive breeding . Best wishes my new friend !😊
I support what you're doing ! So glad you're breeding ! Over the decades, I witnessed a lot of fatalities from importing wild caught often heavily parasitic or have very contagious diseases. Keep up raising the standards ! 😊 You've got my support...😊
@@diamondbackking4141 The tarmac stories are mostly untrue but I know it does happen with ball pythons as that is a tactic that the feuding "mafia" groups use to sabotage their competitors' shipments by bribing airport staff. In more developed countries where the industry is established, they adhere quite closely to IATA regulations as the global industry should and must. Shipments arriving stateside(or EU and basically all other countries) that have extreme losses will result in airlines being fined for IATA violations and it can trigger an entire chain of events that no one wants to deal with. Professionals doing business with professionals in a professional way is usually going to end up with much better results.
Some beautiful Snakes there. They all look fantastic.
Huge kudos to you for the NIDO testing, Dan! Love to see that! 👍🏻
Thank you Dan for doing such great work and making such wonderful video's
Snakes 😮
Oh my gosh those Timor Pythons were amazing.
Beautiful snakes
Amazing Dan ,,, what a stunning collection '
You have the reflexes of a gazelle!! Very entertaining, great snakes as usual great video
You are the best UA-cam ever have a wonderful day great work have a super day have a great day have a nice day
Love these videos. Beautiful animals
Oh my God nice video
That goatee looks good bro.
Awesome Ptyas!
Good video a lot of nice snakes
That snake was not playing lmao great video and good movement 😂 my chondros doing great I got off you took its first meal getting settled in nicely
Those Timor pythons are just stunning. The one in your right hand is amazing
Great video
Unfortunately not keeping snakes at the moment. If I was I would buy some of those Timors. Fantastic
Glad you returned to the states safely.
I see now why they say carinata are good snake to handle before moving to cobras. Straight for the face he went 😂
That snake is in a video I filmed back in January and was pretty calm....he just forgot about me with no interaction, so I will gain his trust back. Maybe I look different with the facial hair lol. If one is going to train like that with a carinata and think that you can graduate to cobras, you'll be dead.
Cant wait for Malaysian shipment to come in ! Awesome stuff keep killing it 🤘
This week is Indonesia. The other half of Malaysia is likely not going to get the permits fixed and will have to start new applications from square one.
lol! Matrix like reflexes!
Just wait until I edit that....I already imagined it lol
Thanks again, for sharing your knowledge and beautiful snakes! I would love to hear what your processes are like for establishing and treating imports for parasites. Keep up the AMAZING work
We’ve covered this in previous videos…it involves massive attention to reducing stress as that is the cause of all problems
@@DMExotics, I will be sure to look back into your catalog of videos. Thanks much
Loving the beard-tee going on. Nice :D.
Also: I cannot remember the last time you showed a video where one of the Ptyas went in for blood. Kinda wild!
And those Timor pythons are gorgeous :o. I love all these unusual pythons and stuff you're bringing in. Scrubs, too (though way too big for me cause I'm a coward). The patterns and colors there are really something. I know lots of folks aren't big into browns and those tannish colors, but I love all those kind of rustic colors with pattern.
Side question: is it fairly normal for captive bred Mangroves to be relatively chill? My perception of these snakes comes from a lot of folks highlighting their grumpy-ness, so just curious.
Same Ptyas from my video 6 months ago, just forgot who I was lol. WC Boiga some can be chill, some not....most are chill to start and will let you know when they have had enough. Babies almost always very timid.
Looking forward to buying a gtp at the Anaheim show
We will have an assortment there for sure. Thanks
@@DMExotics Awesome
How did you not sell those timors, they are an incredible snake to work with. It’s a shame there aren’t many about.
Great collection as always Dan.
They are starting to sell now since the video. Expo crowds are not always the serious keepers that are easy to reach online.
I would live to see what baby mock vipers look like. My bigger red female is now a perfect breeding size & just waiting for the male to catch up.
Very small but already showing color phases likely indicating ssx
Mock vipers even give live birth like true vipers? I wonder if there's some kinda evolutionary connection there, like is it another form of mimicry.
There was just a paper released in May and mock vipers were given a new family name of Psammodynastes and fall under the super family Elapoidae. What we thought was mimicry is actually connected.
@@DMExotics how cool is that. I'm gonna look into it
@@DMExotics That is super cool
Was wondering if shipments were delayed, guess this answers my question haha. I'm on the waiting list for Candoia aspera, so excited to see what comes in!
Candoia are on for this Tuesday
@@DMExotics Excellent, thank you!
Great collection of the not so often seen species available in the hobby. Are the Timor pythons already full grown?
No they are babies...they can reach 8' but average is 6'-7'
Holy Crap! That opening actually made me flinch!🤣🤣🤣
How old are most of the gtps that u you are selling
A few months to a couple years
My lord these green trees are gorgous and u have done so much work to give people a fabulous healthy animal. My 2 from u r coloring up so nice and I've never had an issue with them... hopefully I can grab a couple more of these to add to my collection
Which lab did you use. Thanks
RAL
Another awesome video, are the mock vipers venomous?
Rear-fanged but not dangerous...they are very small.
@@DMExotics they look wicked I’d love to have a pair
Will you do a in depth vid on mock vipers? im really curious about them but there isnt much info out there.
I don't have many here to film with since we almost sold out at the last expo.
@@DMExotics Thats good to hear hopefully they become more popular. would you consider doing the vid if/when you get more? it would be the only in depth vid on them on youtube and having viper in the name id bet it would get a lot of views.
@@DMExotics im sure im not the only one really curious also.
What an amazing rat snakes, do you export to the UK?. You have some very appealing snakes.
Commercial exports are very big orders. We can export directly from Malaysia but we don't keep enough stock on hand in the USA to fill that much of an order.
Is the mock vipers head really that wide and triangular or is she just doing that intentionally as a defensive posture?
When nervous they tend to flatten their heads.
@@DMExotics ok i kinda suspected that was the case. thanks.
bring some of your merch when you go to indonesia pleaseee 🙏🙏
Maybe I can bring a tiny bit but baggage is limited and if we are on our way to Papua or something, we are usually at the weight limit with our gear :)
You should do a video of your fish in a future video.
We will show some next year when we get back to the house..
We on malaysia calling pytas carinata is "gangster kampung" means gangster village.. The king cobra always like to hunt and eat them, because pytas carinata is very dare to fight till death 😂
All of my carinata in our facility in Malaysia are very calm. We have some Thai, Malaysia and Indonesia locality there and usually when I encounter crazy ones, they are Indo.
@@DMExotics nice sir, you're the best collector snake I have seen so far.. keep it up 👍🏻
I have never heard of Teamware Pythons, but after seeing them, I love them. I have diverse Pythons in my snake family and would love to add Teamware Pythons. I, most likely, cannot afford the price to buy them. I love Snakes, all Snakes. Some of my snakes are not what people want, I do not care, they are my snake family.
I think he was talking about Timor (not "teamware") pythons, which are actually not found on the island of Timor, but on the Lesser Sunda Islands.
Are any of the GTPs breeding size?
For Biaks no but the other locality are....long waiting list for those.
@@DMExotics As I imagined, unfortunately. Thank you for the response, Dan.
I’m not sure whether you’ve covered this before, but what is the advantage of having a facility in Malaysia, when you live in Thailand ?
Laws
...and capable staff and partner to run it while I am away....like for the next 6 months.
@@DMExotics of course. I have noticed Thailand has become much more strict over the last 10 years.
@@MrCites1 I am far more calculated than what I let on to on social media. I also operate in silence much of the time. I just nod along like an idiot but inside I have already done all the math with a very precise and calculated plan.
How can I purchase a GTP from you?
Every video description box has all links to all platforms and accounts...everything shares the same name DM Exotics to keep it simple.
Haha and its small.
I will get someone smaller than me to hold it next time
How sad there is such hinderince in transporting your beautiful snakes to you. We need more Snake Lovers in high places to facilitate saving Snakes.
Govt agencies that issue permits, and airline carriers handling transportation see all this as a nuisance. Maybe if it was commission-based work, they would do better...but they are getting paid even if doing nothing (and it seems apparent to me that many enjoy doing nothing).
