  • This video project is the culmination of decades of passion chasing the obscure reptiles that are not mainstream. When what you crave is not being offered, sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands and go get it for yourself. Welcome to my Reptile Reality.

    From this early video to where you are now, should be commended. Your success at breeding theses animals should be archived in history. Great job brother!

    I honestly think colubrids are one of the smartest snakes, they are just incredibly aware. My corn snake will stalk prey like a cat, staying hidden as he stalks. He will use multiple things to hide behind as he closes in, the whole time being extremely aware of the mouse, it's eyes, it's planned future movement. I mean they really think a lot. Amazing thanks for the video!

    That's the way! Nothing against morphs, but Mother Nature rules when it comes to animals. Excellent to see somebody working and caring for reptiles the way they come from their natural environment. Nice video and I'm looking forward to more!

    I'm one that has always loved the normals of all snake species the designer morphs make great eye candy but without the normals they wouldn't exist !!! Really nice to meet someone that also prefers the snakes that aren't the most popular in the reptile community.

      Kooze VanPelt Yes we have talked and you are very right snakes are by no means the dumb oblivious animals that people proclaim them to be :)

      Kooze VanPelt I've had many people also rethink their stand on snakes and their fears and it's always wonderful to see people take a personal interest in them and to teach others to respect them :)

    Great video, I like the way you handle your animals so much, so very loving and caring towards them as well as yourself. Learning loads watching your vlogs. And yes, I didn't know this beauties existed and man! those snakes are freaking awsome. How is keeping them in comparison with other big colubrids like,say, Bullsnakes or Cribo's, would you be able to handle these with that kind of experience? And what about their smell. Big colubrids are notorius for that.😉

    Usually, I prefer colubrids over ANY boid. Problem with some color morphs is when people don't do it properly and they do excessive inbreeding.

      I had twelve to choose from. A video of me being chased around by one was not my intention so I chose a couple of the long-term captives. These can be quite a handful though and I have no P. mucosus I can treat like this...but their feature is coming. Thanks for watching.

    all the way to get that snake to eat rodents is to rub the toad on the rodent in

    • @DMExotics
      @DMExotics  8 років тому

      Actually that rarely works. Generally speaking, only until after they have been established is there a chance. My goal is also not to switch them to rodents exclusively but to get them to take many different food items. This mimics their natural diet and the animals look incredible.I don't know how much experience you have with this species but I am very happy with my results.
