Thanks so much Artie. Nice little tractor that just needed a little love. Glad I had some spare parts on hand to make this a free fix. I hope things are good your way!!
Hi I notice you have not done vidoes for almost a year. Came accross your channel today and you do a good job...I just wanted to give you a bit of encouragement..
On all the single cylinder b/s engines I replace the breather hose because they are rotten and letting dirt in the carb and cylinder 😊😊 It’s a must do 😮
Your at 566 subs my dude. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!! I CERTAINLY LOVE THOSE SEARS TRACTORS!!! I wish I lived close to you, I'd love to buy some of those tractors you get ahold of.
Thank you so much Gary. More than likely I will be selling one of them at some point just due to storage, but I really having a hard time thinking of parting with one. I really appreciate your support, and look forward to making more and more videos.
@@freedommowers420 I bet Alex, you do such awesome work to those things I'd hate parting with them also. You did an outstanding job with that red Craftsman that was in the Field. That thing turned out crazy awesome!!! Keep up the great work and before you know it you'll have thousands of subs and be making all kinds of cash with your channel
@@garyalensr I truly appreciate it. I try my best with these mowers. Some have been abused so badly it just takes a lot of time to get them back into shape. That red craftsman was a complete disaster. So glad to see it live again. I’m so happy to have people enjoy the videos.
Nice video Alex, I kept waiting for you to smack the crap out of that wasp, hope he doesn't have a nest in the mower somewhere. It's running good bud, nothing like a free mower. 👍
The whole shop is loaded with wasps. I’ve got to do some extermination haha. They have been bugging me like crazy while working on there. It needs some little things still but just a quick fix on getting it going was fun for the afternoon. Should still have a few more seasons in it. Thanks for the love John 😎🤘
Anytime brother, my problem is dirt dobbers in my shop, I'll be working on something and one will fly in with a load of mud and run smooth into the side of my head, I guess they can't maneuver as well when they're loaded down. But when I'm bored I get a broom stick and play dobber baseball with them. 🙂🙂
Very nice Alex! That's a great freebie with all the new parts. Well done on the repair and being able to keep the original carb. Your channel is growing nicely!
Thank you Casey. It’s surprising how much work was done to this mower, just to give up on it. I’m glad I was able to get ahold of it and give it a new life. I really appreciate your support 😎🤘
I was blessed with finding a piece of History but we'll do the exact same my son and I he is 7 years old he will be the first one to drive instead of a go-kart he loves it dude ! We're not going to take pictures but after we get it running I will send you the sounds thank you!
I just got that mower from a wonderful lady. Got it running, bearings installed on the front wheels. She runs like a champ. Will replace the carb eventually just to be safe.
Prime for a good time , I love it . The fastest way to check , compression , ignition and timing , mechanical timing . If it runs you know these are good . If it does not more testing to be done .
Nice job bro.. I rang your bell.. always happy to support channels like mine.. thats an oldie but still a goodie. I get dozens of freebies left at my shop every year I love bringing them back to life. Se you soon
Alex, just watched this video from a year ago, on trouble shooting the electrics on these old mowers, the battery ground to the frame is bad about rusting and not making contact. I've had to just make a new hole and put the battery cable in the frame, of course you probably know this already, just info. Enjoy your videos! Also, the old B/S flat head/Lhead engines run when the intek's are in the scrap pile!
That tractor is running beautifully now Alex! Alittle touch up on the deck and it should be ready for a new owner. I still cant find a tractor to flip here. Everything for sale here is just junk and missing parts. Your channel is really growing and your putting out great videos my friend! 🇺🇸🚜👍 Roger
Thank you so much as always Roger. I really wish you were able to find a decent one. I know you have been wanting to find a project. Fingers crossed you find one 🙏. Yes I’m going to go over the whole machine and just touch up and tidy the little things. I’m glad it was just a few minor issues to resolve and get this going again.

Just out of curiosity what year is this one? I’ve had a One just like this one except mine was gray and I absolutely loved it ran it until it was spitting oil out the exhaust lol
that's a nice riding mower. what year is it? does it have a model number? how well does it go up hills? check out the John Deere mower, 26hp engine and it can't make it up this hill ua-cam.com/video/9_3qCmCmlIg/v-deo.html
Very well done.
I have learned quite a bit from this. Thank you.
Great video my friend. Nice score for free. Keep up the great work. 🦅🇺🇸

Thank you so much. Great little tractor for a 1998 model.
I have the same mower just rebuild the carburetor still have gas in oil could it be a bad head gasket, ?
the cutting deck needs to be spray painted in flat black

I want to say this one was like a 1996 maybe. It’s been a while but it was somewhere in that time frame. They were built strong in that time.
Did you quit UA-cam? No new video in awhile
I have the same one😮
They are great machines.
do you plan to upload more videos soon?
The governor sounds shot
This is probably a far stretch. Do you still have this mower?
If so I'm sure we can negotiate a fair price.
Craftsman 42 inch gas sprays out when start then cuts off.
I have a cub cadet lawn tractor if anyone in central Oklahoma can help me fix the belly pto it just won't engage but the rear pto work great
