Melisandre is from a dark city of sorcerers know as Asshai. It's only mentioned in the series, but the lore describes it as a place of dark arts. It's a place where magical practices and rituals, no matter how depraved are legal. I'd love to see Asshai brought to life in a future spin-off

Now would be a good time to watch the R+L=J: Who is Jon's Mother by Robbie McD - it shows all show hints through Season 5 of Lyana Stark being Jon's mother.
That's why Ned never revealed who John's mother was, would be taken the wrong way.

This was my favorite season of the series. So many plot threads got tied up and everything is now prepared for the wars to come. Some haters will undoubtedly show up in your comments because the ending doesn't match their fan fiction but make up your own mind.

Its sad knowing Ned was so honorable and everyone knew it to to some degree, but those who disliked him used the "fact" that he cheated against him. Yet, he never did. He upheld his sisters promise to protect Jon and despite knowing who the father was and the rumors of what Jons real father did to his sister he STILL stayed true to that promise and let everyone else including his own best friend believe she was r*ped. He let his own wife and family believe it.
Bran tells the story of the rat cook in S3E10, and that is what Arya does to Lord Frey for killing her family under his roof after being invited in under peace
