At PMDG we really believe PC and Xbox/Cloud should be considered equal platforms and we worked really hard to make it smooth on both platforms.
It's a fantastic achievement to get this on console. This and the 737 are among the best planes in the simulator.
exactly, the performance on these high fedelity aircraft is really an achievement!
Unfortunately this approach means you will have to compromise on features
One of the very best add ons I've ever got. It runs great for me as long as you are not in third party/high LOD Airports. Amazing just like the 737. Love the depth of this Airplane.
I have three of their products and I am thankful that we get to enjoy them. Lots of developers do not even take the time to make it available to us and I am currently waiting patiently(Kinda) for the 777 Cargo variant to come out. I didn't get the passenger version because well, we on Xbox will never see passengers so seats are getting to be less important to me and at least with Cargo I can carry boxes 🤣
I’ve had no issues with the 777 on Xbox X, using liveries, using busy airports, with the Boeing yoke, it’s been outstanding for me
You can use your triggers to adjust your speed, altitude and heading by clicking it ONCE with the a button and then use your triggers to adjust it (LT for left) (RT for right) works for most knobs including throttles

but if you accidentally double tap, you are in trouble (bad 737 memories)

And just in case you press it and it's spinning, you can simply press the UPR DSPL by turning it. It's the button just in front of the throttle, and it'll stop the bug straight away.
777 the Bank limit is not working with Xbox X, always in Auto... 🤔? Until using the heading mode...

In the bugs you have reported, since i'm using mouse, i haven't face it, but the in the 737 i had the same issue at first (i also completed lost the throttle control, i lost some airframes like that), in the occasion, i sorted out by clicking in the yoke light control, maybe in the 777, click in the map light may work, i guess it worth the shoot. In the UFTB, if you have a keyboard, you shall be fine to make your inputs
I have been flight it around about 1 or 2 weeks. In long flights (which is the propose of this aircraft, right?) i had some issues, like ctds and black screens. I have disable the Fo's displays, and its looking stable now on the black screens matters, although, the UFTB is quite unstable, if you mess around with the map, you will got a CTD, if you chart bugs (quiete common), and the UFTB goes to the map screen, you are running into serios dangerous of get a CTD (quite annoying after a 6 hours flight). Also, in the moment, there's no pushback builted in (i guess neither on the PC) and the update airac cycle is also inop, turn around is broken (the fuel is not loaded properly).
Weel, i would recommend by 70% in the current state, but remember guys, MSFS24 is about to come, and so far, PMDG did not guarantee it's gona have a free updtade to the 2024, since it's a considerable amount of money in this aircraft, take this in consideration.
To buy this aircraft i was missing a full review for xbox users, i hope this video (a very good job indeed), and my deeper review helps everybody to make a aware buy.

I have it for my Xbox series X as well and it is TRULY A MASTERPIECE! But I've run into the issue of - should I adjust figures in the FMC too much or press a lot of things continuously in the FMC the aircraft freezes and I can't do anything. Like all the buttons and switches become frozen... you can't move the levers or anything. Lit just freezes. You have to restart the sim. So dunno if it's a bug or what? Does anyone have the same issue?
I do t have the aircraft on neither my Xbox nor the PC but after overlooking the aircraft it LOOOKS GREAT for pc but on Xbox seeing all of those problems I can’t do a minute and without a cabin I’m out for Xbox. I expect the best of best but again Xbox’s is ment for a starter gamer or simmer while people who go all in a sim or game goes with a PC. This aircraft is more of a professional simmer then just some new person to fly it. Just depends on your experience but Xbox does not seem worth it anymore maybe a year ago but not anymore sadly
interesting, i am not encountering any of the issues you have on my series X, no CTDs either! I will add i have no add on airports and use 32GB rolling cache with live weather on (very fast and stable internet connection)
Hello, i play in the Xbox series S, and to be honest, the performance is quite good actually, Sometimes it has some stutters but it’s not a deal breaker, also very similar performance compared to the 737😉

I have 737 800 which I got as a marketplace item giveaway from pmdg on xbox, because my xbox has some restriction so I cant get any addon from marketplace ,that s why I join giveaways ,so by your video the 777 looks so fantastic ,btw that is why I am annoying you about asking about giveaway

Does anyone on Xbox know if this plane gives black screens?
Nothing to report on my side and by the look of the comments, most people seem to be happy with it.
It seems very comparable with the 737. However some airports like the UK world update EGSS give blackscreen.
I have this plane on series X and think it runs really good. It’s actually more smooth and better frame rates than the 787

How do you walk around the cabin on Xbox? The only way I know how to do it? Is I have to use the drone and go inside the plane?

Seeing the long loading time and the memory issues this add-on clearly needs more work. Sadly Microsoft will not offer a more powerful console so we'll have to live with this one. I can see more add-ons skipping Xbox because developers cannot be held back by outdated hardware.
Typical for PMDG, unfinished programs are released full of bugs. Also, money grabs and disrespect towards customers. When will people learn the absolute truth?

I have pmdg 737-900 also but not as good as 777 and a lot more buggy
Devs shouldn't be charging for liveries especially on expensive planes

I doubt they will fix the spinning knobs issue anytime soon as they 737 does it also without a mouse and thats been out a while now. Glad you can get it flying out of EGNX my local as that on my X series is a black screen in the 737 but my 777 can handle LHR SFO DXB JFK etc and I am quite happy with it. I haven’t had any issues with the efb and use it a lot. Its weird on a closed system like xbox your egnx is stable where mine isn’t and my tablet works where others have issues I don’t get it.
Yeah that's the difficult parts for studios, some people have some issues and others don't while on the same exact system...
Really a bummer that Asobo was not able to make a good weather radar API so that PMDG and other companies like fenix could have been able to implement it

Im very very impressed with the pmdg 777 on Series X, regarding the cabin issue if you zoom in abit with a mouse the cabin loads fully 😊

The main problem I having now is I have bought so many add-ons my game is close to 500GB
Uninstall the ones especially airports you wont be flying that day. Can always reinstall then for when you route to them.
Also on mine, I have the tablet removed. Because sometimes if I use the tablet midflight it would crash the game.
Hmm yeah looks like the tablet cause memory issues
Other than to click "request simbrief data" I recommend to only use the performance page prior to pushback and top of descent, then stow away tablet. Avoid looking at the flight plan and map on tablet.
Will be good when the 737 is click to stow also.
