Those R-2800s are absolutely deafening in the cockpit, believe you me. Sadly it certainly isn't replicated here.
You fly it once, then you forget it. I own it.
Thx for sharing your thoughts on the plane!
I blame (old name) Milviz! The C310 with it's extensive failure modeling spoiled me. To me, that makes all the difference between simulation and a simple game. So now I have just a few A/C I spend any real time with. The rest are fly once and forget.
@@garysmith5256 That is so true 😉
My biggest gripe with MSFS is with it's low-fi engine sound modelling. Let's hope Microsoft can get it right in the next iteration.
Props, taildragger, WWII and huge.... Its perfect😁
I've been disenchanted with a lot of these MSFS planes. I come from FSX and A2A Simulations and I'm sorry to say that after experiencing the high-fidelity of the A2A products, these addons are basically cardboard cut-outs in comparison....😩
Oh yeah that's for sure, not the same philosophy here. But it's always good to have choices, not everyone aims at the high fidelity products.
10 euro's on sale now, not perfect, but good enough :)
, as tu d’activer la mémoire cash et , si oui , combien as tu de GO ? Etc etc etc .
D’avance , des tonnes de merci à toi
Got it a couple of days ago. Not impressed, probably won't fly it again.
Meh
This is crap.
The argument: "oh it's onlt15$" it a bad argument. and gives too much slack to the devs.
In the vast majority if not all cases of 15$ addons there are no "more expensive and better" alternatives. And you can't escape the feeling that you pay 15$ for a semi rubbish addon in the hope that someone else maybe will do it properly later at a higher price. And this isn't how things should work.
Some planes like PMDGs and others are more expensive and the dev is trying to bring a full fidelity after a long development cycle so you expect them to ask a higher price to recover their higher costs a bit faster but a 15$ addon shouldn't be an almost fsx port with some bells and whistles added. It should be a solid start for a long development after initial release... kind of like an early access. Cheaper but supported by a higher sales number for longer time. But it's not the case. Basically all 15$ addons especially from AH but not limited to them are abandonware from day 1 and very little is done if anything to them after launch. Some bug fixes for things that can affect their sell-ability in the future but not a true post release development.
And this should stop. And people should never praise or give slack to these devs. These devs are not kids that need care when criticized. Reviewers should be blunt - "Your module is not gonna cut it and you can shovel it. You are filling the msfs pool with piss poor modules that in few years will make MSFS look like a cheap low poly arcade game." Not to mention that when better alternatives appear now old "mildly critical" reviews for the schitt addons keep them afloat taking revenue from devs that deserve and giving to those that don't.
P.S.
This plane cannot be detached from the fact that it is a quick replacer of the Boeing 707 Aeroplane Heaven was supposed to have ready in place also for 15$ and most probably Asobo or M$ said to them: NO THIS SCHITT CAN'T GO!" because it was a total crap but they (AH) thought it will pass Asobo/M$ because hey it's only 15 bucks.
For me personally Aeroplane Heaven is the type of dev that still has a long way to earn some respect from me. I know they imagine they are great because they do this from FSX era etc... They are not great. Their work is rubbish no matter they do it from long time ago.
Most excellent video. Well done. I really enjoy this aircraft. 👍
Thank you very much sir!
I heard that the sperry guidance system doesn't work. That seems really unacceptable to not have that functioning. Its like that insurance commercial where the old man dangles a dollar with a fishing pole but can never get the dollar.
From what I can tell from the community it is very similar to the default aeroplane heaven DC-3 quality wise, not the greatest but if someone makes the effort to come up with a mod like the duckworks mod it would make it a very good addition, as it is I will likely buy it because I’ve got a soft spot for old birds.
The problem is, the DC3 was quite easy to mod but the C-46(and C-47) are very hard to mod because the files are encrypted and modding it would be way too much effort, a few modders, I believe including duckworks already stated that it won't be worth the effort to mod it
