- A Tribute To The Late Lyman F. Sheats, Jr.
In 2022, the world lost a giant. He was and forever will be one of the greatest creators in the pinball industry.
Lyman's loved ones have expressed that any desire to contribute please be donated to The National Alliance On Mental Illness (NAMI).
If you or anyone else you know is struggling with mental illness, please reach out for help, even if it is difficult. Even if it feels like there's no hope and no resolution. We assure you, you do matter and this world needs you in it. We are here to help any way we can.
Thank You Lyman. You will be forever missed and forever remembered.
Such a sad loss. He had so much more to give too. Absolute legend as a player and a designer. Rest in peace, Lyman.
Lived across the street from his parents, after they passed I got to know Chip after his many trips back home to Wayland working on the house he grew up in. Lots of late night conversations in front of a fire about some deep topics. Devastating news but not surprising as he was open about his struggles. Of course wishing I had known the depths he was into before the end. So sad. Thanks for this tribute
Rest In Peace LFS❤️ what a legacy you left behind 🙏🏼
Why you gotta get my eyes watery so early in the morning?
same. I'm off to play Iron Man immediately..
R.I.P Lymann. Thanks for all the countless hours of joy you've given me either playing your games or watching you playing
I had known Lyman for almost 25 year. I will miss you truly from the design to cooking to cars. Rest easy friend.
Nice work as always Zach. Beautiful little tribute
Lyman F'ing Sheats was THE MAN! RIP :(
I didn't know he was a world champion player. Thanks for the video. My 1st new machine was Matallica a Lyman masterpiece.
I only learned about who Lyman was just a few days ago, when I was looking up guides on old pinball games. I'm sorry to hear that he's gone. May his work live on.
Seemed like a cool guy. Thanks for this upload.
thanks for all you did, and for all the lives you touched LFS! Rest In Peace
Thanks Lyman for all you have given all of us
Wow. RIP legend. Thank you for everything.
Screw that guy who's like, "Do you have a real life?" You obviously don't, talk show host.
But in all seriousness, this hit me hard. Please, if you're reading this, and you're thinking about ending it, don't. Someone out there will miss you, even if you don't know it. And they'll cry and mourn you...so please don't go too soon.
Thanks for everything Lyman. An absolute legend

That was am amazing video guys! Truly heartwarming. You should get shirts made of that last image with his initials and "thank you lyman" on it and donate the proceeds to his family. I think a ton of people on pinside would buy them. Once again great job guys.
