I guess Atsumu read the manga
I definitely loved the new art style, its very refreshing. The new art style also provided them those built and developed muscles in their training whereas in the old art style everyone was scrawny but then again all of them were pretty new to volleyball. Old art style is giving me late 2000s / early 2010s art vibes but overall this new art style fits haikyuu because its refreshing and you can see the growth of the characters. I loveee when the siblings aka the cheer squad faced off! I felt the tension in that scene! I cant wait for the fated battle, I really hope we get exaggerated god quality animation when they serve/receive just like their battles with inarizaki and shiratorizawa. Honestly this series should’ve been greenlit for S5 and S6 considering the success of the manga and the anime and the fact that the manga had already been finished.
The scene in which the cheer squad faced off was executed well, all the siblings were dressed fashionably and stylish! I love seeing the growth and friendship of kenma and hinata. I love when they started playing OP 1 in the ending, made me really emotional.
This information is about the Top 5 Spikers in Japan. (Some of the informations are considered as spoilers but volleyball players can get information from these. These are just my point of view as a volleyball player.)
Top 1: Kiyoomi Sakusa - He is an all-around player with outstanding skills in both offense and defense. Sakusa has almost no weak points.
Compared to Ushijima and Kiryū, Sakusa lacks massive power. But he has a flexible wrists that can add more spin to his attacks. It is very difficult to block or receive a nasty spinning ball. As a volleyball player, I rather receive or block a brute force attack by Ushijima or Kiryu than receiving or blocking a fast spinning ball. It is very difficult to stop a momentum of a ball with a lot of spin by just one touch. Sakusa is also a very good opposite and outside hitter. He can serve very well with that flexible wrist.
Top 2:
Wakatsu Kiryū - He is a right-handed version of Ushijima. It means he also has a powerful spike that rivals Ushijima. But Kiryū is considered to be a better all-around player than Ushijima. Out of the five spikers, he has the most formidable leg strength which he can hit a powerful spike with just one-step jump. Which for me, as a hitter, I need three steps so that I can jump very high and hit a good spike.
Top 3: Wakatoshi Ushijima - He is one of the most irritating hitter that I don't want to play against. First, he has that powerful attack, just like Kiryū. And he's a left-handed. For me, left-handed hitters can take advantage against a team that never goes up against them. I rarely played against a left-handed spiker and it is very different approach when you receive a ball from a left-handed spike and right-handed spike. It is just the spin is different. But I am not a good receiver so complaining is what I can do.
Top 4: Kōtarō Bokuto - He is my favorite character in Haikyu. I love cross and straight spike. I love hitting like that. I can reflect myself in him. He loves spiking a ball without getting touch by a block and it is what I really practice. But it is just frustating when my attacks are getting blocked or getting touched by a block. But as far as I know, when Bokuto became serious, he became the best spiker ever.
Top 5: Aran Ojiro - He is considered as the second to Kiryū when it comes to jumping. With his leg strength and timing, he can spike above three-man block. He was also compared to Ushijima when it comes to his attacks.
Bro Bokuto is an absolute beast when he gets serious as we’ve seen and will see. He’s definitely one of my favorites because of his attitude.

Yes Nekoma's defense is strong but don't forget they've scrimmed with Karasuno many times and that's what makes them rivals. Each team will already know the opposing team's strength and weaknesses and that's whats gonna make this game intense.
Man cant wait for them to see the Teacher vs Student once it gets animated. Hopefully it will!
In my opinion, Inarizaki overall is better team than Karasuno and Nekoma, i think one of the problems of Inarizaki was that they kinda underestimate Karasuno at the start of the match and the Myia twins got so hyped that they started messing around with some things that they never tried it befora. That said, Karasuno can be very resilient, play well under pressure, driven from momentum and the most important, they play even better when faced against top tier teams.

That promise Atsumu made, became true. That shows Hinata can go without Kageyama. This is where Atsumu and Hinata ships came from.
It wasn't a promise...it was more like a declaration from Atsumu that Hinata WILL be a Pro and a Best one. And that he will/wishes to play with Hinata.
Because Atsumu said it himself, he doesn't acknowledge weak players or even play with them.

Yes, Hinata will play on the same team MSBY Black Jackals with Atsumu, Bokuto and Sakusa. And Atsumu will also fulfil his promise of setting to Hinata :-)
Nekoma, in terms of opponents definitely faced weaker teams than Karasuno did. However, Nekoma's playstyle isn't something Karasuno can easily deal with, they're like each other's Kryptonite. Both teams are versatile and are powerhouses in their own rite.
I feel like Bokuto is gonna level up next season.

I love this episode Because being an athlete myself it shows how much emotion and grit you put into these sports.. I run track so the big track meets we have and volleyball tournaments fall hand and hand..once you finish your event u sit around watch other people run until your next event or the next day..when karasuno beat inarizaki and they all started sleeping that's like the most realistic part about it😭😭 we literally get so burned out it's like we can't think about anything but sleep once it's over

I can attest to the power of an intense cheer squad. My junior year of highschool in our league finals we had a huge crowd for the first time because the school play needed a bunch of guys as extras and they didn't have enough so our team joined, and so the entire crew of the play came to watch our finals game with signs and stuff and it was amazing. It was a 5 set match. We went down 2-1 and in the 4th set the other team was at match point and we were down 8 points, but our setter served 8 times in a row with us getting the point each rally, and the crowd going absolutely crazy. We ended up winning the 4th and 5th sets. I still firmly believe that we would not have won without the crowd so I totally understand how Karasuno feels.

They changed the animation because the manga writer changed his drawing style. They had to change the animations to fit the manga because everything is based off the Haikyuu manga
They had to change it for it to fit the manga. It's also good that the artstyle change it means that they're growing.

Although the scene of Ukai's wasn't in the chapter because it was chipped in for more build for next season's battle at the garbage dump so I don't really know what exactly chapter that Ukai scene is. Karasuno went against a favoured national teams in their region futured one of the top 3 aces in the country and won,
then they beat the team that was ranked the second best in the country. Of course the teams Karasuno faced were way higher caliber and stronger than those who Nekoma faced.
But as they said, just because rock beat scissors doesn't mean it's stronger than paper. But ngl Nekoma's all libero team is a bit broken.

I sure hope next season will be like season 3 in terms of artstyle, animation, quality, consistency, editing and directing.
Personally, I think Nekoma would not be able to beat the Miya twins but have a possibility in beating Ushiwaka. Miya Atsumu is a way, way better setter than Kenma in regards to his passion, skills and efforts. Though Kenma is always strategic, Atsumu is just unpredictable in his approach of strategy too. Even Tsukki who are smart in reading his opponents like Kenma were not able to read Atsumu till the end of their game/match. But this is my opinion and observations.

@@mlh1367 bruh 1 the manga has stopped and when most shoes do that the anime ends 2 the animators have now been putting all of there work into the new volleyball club one 3 with haikyuu there is usually always some type of hint with the date of release for the next season and all it got this time was a thank you for watching shows usually say this when it's coming to an end

brad star that’s false af. Most shows do not end when the manga end. And when they do, 9/10 it’s because they’re caught up to the manga and they’re on the last arc so that’s why it seems like that. Demon slayer, 7DS, Naruto, DBZ, etc. Manga finished but the anime will continue. Just so happens that the anime were close to the end of the manga anyway. All Manga finish before the anime it’s literally where the anime gets the content to animate. And the manga always comes out before the anime because once again, that’s literally what gets animated. So like I said man, stop scaring people. And From what I remember, Haikyu has never been one to do the whole “to be continued” thing. They use the last scene to basically say “look forward to this next season”. They didn’t do a date release or whatever you’re talking about in season 3s or season 2 finale. They just showed a hint of what’s to come like they did here with Nekoma and Karasuno facing off. Like they have literally NEVER given any type of release date as soon as the season ends. Nor have they done it at the end of any of the season finales. And if the anime was ending with this season, they would’ve made that announcement by now especially with such a popular anime like Haikyu
