This was the perfect ending to season 4 Stay tuned for more Haikyu!! reactions and videos, and in the meantime, watch more anime with me on @SarahPavanAnime Love you guys!! 💕
I saw a post saying that instead of more seasons of Haikyu, they want to condense the rest of the manga into 2 movies! 😭 Am hoping this turns out false but if true, would still watch the movies with you!
I'd love to see you tackle at least the first episode of blue lock. I know you're a volleyball pro but the ideology presented in blue lock would be so interesting to see interact with a pro of such a team focused sport
from "i dont see any worth in you" to the one of the best highschool setters saying "im gonna be setting to you one day", what a beautiful moment for hinata
All throughout haikyuu hinata always had to ask people to set for him ( kageyama, suga, kenma), but this is the first time that someone asked hinata to let them set for him. It just shows how much he improved and that setter being the best high school setter says enough of hinata‘s capabilities. What a ride it has been. Thanks Sarah for the reactions.
Hahaha She might be the perfect Sarah parallel. I think she loves other players more but she's basically Ushiwaka. Even with the part about learning volleyball from her dad
In the post game interview, the coach of Inarizaki says they needed to be more "aggressive", which doesn't make any sense. However, that's actually because it's a horrible mistranslation. He was saying "tegataku" which means "being careful and firm, being down to earth and not risky".
Atsumu wanting to be a setter for Hinata is a huge milestone for him. In contrast with season 1 Hinata he was looking for a setter but no one wanted and four seasons later one of the best setters want to set him.
Setting Hinata is not solely Kageyama's job. Just like what the National coach team said, it is a good thing that Hinata found out that Kageyama's not the only one capable of setting the ball to him. They're rivals. So they will have to battle it out in the future to find out who's stronger between them. As for Washijo's feelings, it would be best if you don't ask so you won't get spoiled. LOL
Yes, I was gonna say that as well... Hinata and Kageyama first than teammates are rivals since the day they meet... 9:12 So no, it's not gonna be him! 🫠
In my perspective, Washijou acknowledge his ideological defeat back when Hinata scored that last spike against Shiratorizawa. The mean comment about "not sensing any worth without Kageyama" was needlessly brutal, but it was also... A truth Hinata NEEDED to hear. Even back at Shiratorizawa, when Kageyama couldn't play, Hinata usually got benched. Based on the fact that it looked like he WAS a ballboy, Washijou himself probably went through something similar and just made Hinata be in a position where he knew it was possible to learn on his own. I think it's too much credit to say Washijou taught Hinata that lesson, but he still went out of his way to let him on the court. Probably out of pride, he didn't actually sit down with Hinata and taught him shit, yet he did 2 very valuable things: 1. He allowed him to stay and didn't let him play, forcing him to either learn or quit, which makes this more Hinata's own merit rather than Washijou, and 2. That one line "No worth in you without Kagayama" is basically his way of saying "You need to learn how to bring more to the court other than that one quick set". It's not a full answer, but it's a hint. One of the pieces of the puzzle he had to put together in order to change his mindset as a player, forever changing Hinata's fate as a player.
Hinata already knew he's not the best without Kageyama. Its something that even he mentioned before , its part of the reason why he snuck in to that camp. He just wants to get better
The thing about Atsumu's compliment is that it's the result of what Hinata is trying to accomplish through out the season. And that's to be a good player, WITHOUT Kageyama. Prior to this season, he barely had his basics down and can only score because of the freak quick Kageyama effortlessly sets up for him. Having another setter tell him that he wants to set for him makes it clear that Hinata is slowly reaching his goal of being a solid player in his own right, like what he saw in Hoshiumi (seagull guy).
When people are brought together, it triggers a chemical reaction. Somewhere, a world changing encounter is happening at this very moment. It could be happening somewhere in a faraway land. Maybe even on the other side of the world. I believe that encounter was made between Sarah Pavan and Haikyuu. What a journey! Thanks Sarah!
I just finished Sarah’s complete watch of the series, and yesterday the movie got announced for a May 31 release date in Canada and the US! Let’s get that Nekoma match!!!!
19:53 I think this is the first time I realized the "story about a snake jealous of a cat" on the TV ties directly to the previous scene, with the Nohebi player having to talk about Nekoma.
Thank you for picking up Haikyuu and not giving up on it despite the negative comments. Words can't describe how happy your reactions make me ❤️ I'm looking forward to whatever you'll be reacting to next, even if it's something that I'm not a fan of! Now give yourself a pat on the shoulder and go buy some cookies! 😋
Okay but like, which negative comments? This is one of the highest ranked anime of all time, considered by many to be the number 1 sports anime of all time alongside Slam Dunk, and just stellar writing all around. XD
Thank you so much! I’m a cookie fan, so I’ll be sure to buy a bunch of them 🍪 Honestly, I don’t care about the comments. I just enjoy reacting and interacting with the people who appreciate what I’m doing, like you!! ❤️
The quote, in the beginning where the twins lose. "This position.. this timing... this angle.. It's perfect." and how they lose the shot, is a callback to season 1 e24 when Karasuno loses. Same quote I believe. Thank you for the journey with you. Been watching this along with you from practically the start!
well its because this quote was used to express how insane that set is at the very beginning of the first season when they found out that they could do that.
And thus ends the gold standard for Haikyuu reactions... Seriously, can't think of a more thorough reactor for this series. You being who you are, I expected good volleyball commentary, but you went beyond that and kept track of all the characters, their arcs, the plot... This was a great jorney, and I can't wait for the day we'll get more Haikyuu - and more reactions. Keep up the great work!
I'm so envious of Haikyuu fans just finishing season four not knowing what comes next. The best volleyball match, best "moment", best arc and best Kageyama-Hinata interactions are still to come ❤❤❤
Washijo is actually watching Hinata’s growth ever since that match-deciding back row from Hinata against Shiratorizawa and he knows that Hinata will be able to do what Washijo cannot during his younger years. He knows that Hinata has the “hunger” to forge his way throught the “tall and strong” stigma on volleyball. Washijo is actually a Hinata believer deep inside.
Thank you Sarah for all the Haikyu reaction videos. I really appreciate it. ..wow just don't know how to say but feel overwhelmed🥹 Can't wait to watch you react to Battle of the garbage dump!!!!❤❤❤
The end of an era.... for now. Thank you for doing these reactions, it's been fun watching the series again with your professional viewpoint, and your enthusiasm and love of the characters has been a joy to behold.
Just wanted to say you very quickly became my favorite haikyuu reactor because I saw how you genuinely became a fan of the show and fell in love with the characters. Definitely going to check out your other anime reactions and can't wait to watch season 5 with you when that comes out!
I have really enjoyed your Haikyu reaction so much for long time ! You gave me a lot of fun time. I look forward to next episode reaction in the future.
I just wanted to say it has been awesome and a pleasure to be rewatching Haikyuu with your reactions Sarah! Your raw enthusiasm for the characters, stories, and unique persepective as a professional player of the sport really made every release to be look forwarded too. Thanks for taking your time out of your busy schedule and blessing the community with you! 😊 Haikyuu season 5 will be long from now unfortunately, but we'll be following you till then!
Sarah, thank you for reacting to Haikyuu. I've seen many reactors, and you are the best of them. Your combination of volleyball knowledge, passion for the fiction, and intelligence is remarkable. Learning every character's name after a single introduction, even making reaction videos during and after the Olympics---you're a natural at this. This episode takes the Haikyuu anime through 292 chapters of the Haikyuu manga---but the Haikyuu manga is 402 chapters long! The remaining animation will likely not do justice to all of it. Sarah, I've seen so much emotional connection from you to the characters, and there's no reason for you to hold back from reading Haikyuu. Whether you react publicly to the manga or not, if Haikyuu has connected to you, then I sincerely hope you read it! It's very approachable, readable, emotional, completes the story admirably. Thank you again for this remarkable reaction series.
Saying it's Kageyama's job is very touching but the reality is they were always rivals...they always wanted to play against the other at 100%. Being on the same team didn't distinguish that rivalry. They will not play together forever. Even the National head coach said the same thing midway thru this arc. What's wild is just how right Astumu is in the end :D
Hello, just wanted to say Sarah what a ride. I deeply enjoyed the entire show all over again through your lens, and had some great laughs too. Loved the volleyball breakdowns but also your openess about how you feel about characters/events and you get into the show. All in all, thanks for making the reactions 😊
Sarah, I have never commented on your videos but I have to say that your reactions are the best I have ever watched about an anime. And Haikyuu is my favorite anime so your videos are just so on point and amazing. Thank you for them and for sharing your work with us! Can’t wait for more Haikyuu content. Love ya!!
Thank you Sarah for recapping this wonderful series that is so close to our hearts. You were very entertaining and your knowledge of the game was amazing. We could tell you really really like and enjoy this series as much as we do. Let’s hope more Haikyuu will be released soon and more recaps from you. Will also continue to watch your videos on your other channels. If you have a chance, watch the Chinese movie called “Leap”. It is a 2020 movie about the Chinese volleyball legend Lang Ping, being played by Gong Li. You will be able to relate to so much of it too, given that you have played volleyball in Asian countries. It would be great if you can react to it too someday.
I highly recommend reading the manga. What is left of the story is gonna be adapted into 2 movies that most likely will leave stuff out and it's gonna be years until the movies are available.
I was a little late in discovering your channel, but I always thought this was the best reaction to haikyuu on youtube that I've seen so far. Even though I've seen this anime several times already, your insights as a pro really gave it a new light, so thank you for that. Now we're all just waiting for the movie/s release, but I do hope you get a chance to read the manga as well. Thanks Sarah! 🎉❤
Sarah I can't express how much I enjoyed for your reactions. I have waited religious;y every week to watch Haikyuu together. You were a wholesome reactor that made understand the plays in more depth. Thank you so much!!!
When i finished the manga mor than 2 years ago, i feel really really restless and overwhelm the following days. Haikyuu is really good, a masterpiece. I am excited for the following animation
Sarah I really enjoyed your Haikyuu Reactions. Since you are a professional volleyball player it was awesome to see your insights the volleyball plays and your detailed explanations. Definitely the best reaction to Haikyuu!!! Thanks!!
I've really enjoyed watching you every week and I'll miss your haikyuu reactions. I've tried other reactions but you just seem to be the most genuine hakyuu fan, which made it extra fun. I've already started watching your other channel, so I'm glad there are still your videos to look forward to :) Thank you for your videos, Sarah 😊
Congratulations on finishing four seasons of Haikyuu, Sarah! It's been a blast being a part of your Haikyuu journey. To the rest of you guys, you all better follow Sarah's other channel if you haven't already! Anyway, I'm not sure what you're planning to do with your schedule now that Haikyuu has ended. You were technically reacting to two anime episodes a week, one here and one on your other channel. I would suggest picking up a new anime to react to along with Spy x Family, if you wish to continue the two episode a week schedule. Also, I would highly suggest picking some shorter anime, there are many amazing anime that is only 1 cour, or 1 season with 12 episodes. I think the more anime series you cover, the bigger variety of fans you can attract to your channel. For example, I'm sure a bunch of people have recommended Kuroko's Basketball to you, but that's a 75 episode anime. And that's 75 episodes of you only attracting Kuroko's Basketball fans to your channel. In that same time frame, you could cover 6 different 1 cour anime and attract a larger variety of fans. Anyway, that's just my suggestion.
I'm so happy and sad at the same time I can't even describe it, it's been a pleasure ladies and gentlemen, thank you Sara for all the content you provided for us this last 2 years, I'll continue to follow your channel and other reactions while we wait for that beautiful moment when Haikyuu comes back in whatever form that may be.
I think the thing that strikes me the most about Kita's "Well, Isn't my team amazing?" moment is that, to me, it's not just "I wanted to play more." Rather, I always felt like it was "I wanted ~you~ to have more chances to play." I'm not sure if I'm articulating this right, but it feels like Kita is content to just be with his team, whether on the court or the bench. Being captain and getting to help guide his team is enough for him. Of course, getting to play would be nice too, but it feels to me like he just wants to cheer on his teammates. Again, not sure I'm articulating this correctly, but it makes sense in my head lol! I'll probably come back to this later and be like "that made no sense" hahaha! Hopefully someone can get what I mean!
Sarah saying NO 😂 Well, Hinata in 1st episode said he wants to beat Kageyama and Kageyama accept the challenge 😌 Also, Inarizaki's coach is the best. He blamed himself for the lost. Congrats on finishing the anime, I hope you can read the manga too. I'm pretty sure the final movies won't do justice to the remaining stories 😢
Sarah this has been absolutely amazing. I only found you a month ago and watched through your WHOLE reaction playlist. I really wish I'd found you earlier but it seems I found you at just the right time to reach *this*. I'm so sad to see Haikyuu's animation over and I really hope more comes soon so I can see your reaction to that too. The anime ends here at chapter 259 of the manga, and there are 402 chapters in the manga right now so there's still a lot for them to keep adapting! We can only hope it comes soon. Thank you so much for this series and your insights I'm going to be continuing watching your anime channel as you've become my favorite reactor - your intelligence and ability to remember people's names and when things happened and come up with really solid theories and connections puts you so far above so many other reaction channels. It's been a massive pleasure watching you
Now that my favorite anime has finally come to an end. I would like to suggest Sarah and everyone in the comments a little something. Head over to channels like " Harsh reviews " and " Aleczandxr " if you feel like you know everything about Haikyuu. The videos that they have made analysing Haikyuu and it's characters are so so and I mean so good, I can't even begin to explain. Their reviews are the main reason as to why I love Haikyuu as much as I do. I feel like I understand the characters so well, relate to them on surface level and truly just...you know love them. Please give them a watch if you are curious about Haikyuu
Huge thank you for taking the time to do these reactions! I just finished watching the show and started all over again b/c I wanted to hear what you had to say. Passionate, informed, intelligent commentary is rare and valued by me. Catching up on your Run With the Wind reactions (another show I love). Tsurune (archery; kyudo) is a show I would love to see you watch. It's not too long, and it's emotional, powerful and has some incredible characters and team spirit. Plus a girls' team! Who aren't just filler! Though the boys are the focus.
As an idea, there are many Haikyuu video essays on youtube that would be very fun for Sarah to react. Harsh Reviews and Aleczandxr are the most stand out of the bunch, or Sarah making video essay on Haikyuu would be poetic project.
@@Old_Soul_ Agreed, they are very careful of not spoiling the post season 4 contents, and they go real deep into characters Sarah "dislike" like Oikawa and Tendou in a poignant way.
AHHHH IM JUST REREADING THE HAIKYUU MANGA AND I AM SCREAMING IT IS SO GOOD CANNOT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE/ANIME TO COME OUT AND ALSO YOUR REACTION TO IT IT IS JUST TOO DAMN GOOD
I came across your videos yesterday, and one video got me watching all seasons of Haikyu again because of your awesome commentary! I got to learn more about volleyball isms and what not because of you, so thank you! Also, I just wanted to sort of touch on Washijo as a character and how awesome he is and what he eventually becomes in the manga: After Karasuno beat Shiratorizawa, Washijo came to a realization that he just didn’t maximize his potential enough even at his height or as he would like to put it “lack of strength”. And seeing Hinata do the things he did at that time, humbled him. To him, it wasn’t Shiratorizawa losing to Karasuno, it was more about him and what he thought the idea and the make up of a winner looks like losing to Hinata. He’s always been hardened by his shortcomings but that loss, that last smile/smirk he had in the end of that match was him letting that pride go and admitting defeat. Fast forward to Hinata’s training arc camp - Washijo, although tough on Hinata, has already grown to respect him. That’s why he let him stay. All the little curve balls he threw at Hinata was him more so saying “well, I know what you can do, you can be better, but you can’t be that unless you can fight on your own” I love that he brought Hinata back down to Earth in that first episode by being BRUTALLY honest with him because Hinata wouldn’t have even realized that OTHER PEOPLE KNEW he can’t do much without Kags. I love that Washijo became this anchor that Hinata needed. Not exactly to weigh him down but to keep him steady.
I would like to tell you, thank you Sarah. Not just for watching this show. But also because you have been helping me smile again. Lifes been really hard as of late. Seeing someone like you get enjoyment out of my favorite volleyball anime is so heartwarming. Thank you for saving my life Sarah and Hinata
one small easter egg in this episode was just before they showed the news about the game. the previous news said something like a cat and snake had a fight and snake lost and too bad for the snake or something like that. which is a direct reference to nohebi losing to nekoma :D
It's been great to see your reactions Sarah! I remember watching since the first season, and then watching you live at the Olympics months later! In terms of what to do next when it comes to Haikyuu, you can either wait for the next seasons of anime to come out, but as someone who's read the manga, there's probably another 3-4 seasons left (depending on how they pace the content), so possibly another 5+ years before the end. So, alternatively, reading the manga is probably preferable unless you're willing to wait that long to see how good Hinata becomes!
Hey Sarah, if you're interested in doing manga reviews/reactions to various matches/subarcs remaining in Haikyuu!!, I'm guessing that you're probably a bit unsure on what format would work since manga reviews are quite different from anime episode reviews. There's a youtuber who does One Piece (a very popular manga) reviews called "Merphy Napier" that I think has a format that would work really well for your style of reacting and love for small character moments and interactions. She was originally exclusively a booktuber (doing non-manga book reviews), but at some point, she opened it up to One Piece, and she managed to strike a nice balance with talking about her thoughts on important story points while also gushing about really fun character interactions, growth of said characters, themes/callbacks, hype moments, etc. A lot of this is taking notes as you read of your thoughts and recording yourself talking about the chapters that you read using your notes as a sort of outline. It's kind of like what you do when you pause the episode to talk about stuff, but instead of that being small interludes, it takes up much more of the content. You can also experiment with splicing in various panels of the moments you are talking about (though just like with the anime, you need to be careful with how much you includes due to obvious copyright reasons). As a note about Haikyuu!! Final (movies), if you care at all about spoilers, then I would not recommend reacting to the trailer that has come out for the two Haikyuu!! Final movies. They are super hype and nostalgic, but man, do they spoil so much (like, everything, including the outcome of some important matches and story direction). I cannot recommend the manga enough since two movies really isn't enough to do the rest of the series justice, and I can guarantee you, they will have to cut out a LOT of stuff to fit it into two movies. To give some reference, season 4 ends off at around chapter 292. That's 4 seasons with 87 (25 + 25 + 10 + 2 + 25) episodes for 292 chapters. I don't want to spoil the exact number of chapters that Haikyuu!! has, but let's just say there are over 100 chapters left, and they're trying to fit that into two movies. There will be a lot that has to go if that happens; just look at the 4 recap movies for seasons 1 - 3, which cover ~190 chapters. As another comparison point, the Land v. Air two episode OVA series is actually ~18 chapters in the manga, which is why so many people don't like those OVAs due to cut content. Anyway, I loved your Haikyuu!! content, and I'll probably keep following you over on your anime channel. I loved your Run with the Wind series, so keep at it, and most importantly, watch/read what you think is fun, as that will make the best content!
Thank you Sarah for all the love you give to Haikyuu and us. You're the only professional volley ball player I know. We will support you with all our hearts
Thank you, Sarah. You've been a great and wonderful part of my life since S1E1, and it has been a long jorney. From the botttom of my hearth, thank you
What an absolute delight it has been following you on your Haikyuu journey, Sarah. I've said it before and I'll say it a million more times, but your genuine love and investment in this story shines through with every episode/reaction, and it is truly so heartwarming and beautiful to witness it :') thank you for all your (and Lydia!!'s) hard work putting these reactions out for us, we appreciate them so much! Much love! And so excited to continue watching your reactions on your anime channel (your Run With the Wind and current Spy x Family reactions have been giving me the best weekly serotonin boosts, just like these Haikyuu videos did).
Thank you so much for reacting to Haikyuu! I have learned tons of knowledge about volleyball from your videos. And your emotions are touching and beautiful!! I feel moved again at the same time even though I have watched this before. That may be the charming point of reaction videos. Looking forward to watch more your videos!❤
Atsumu saying he will set to Shoyo, is him essentially saying I will play on the same pro team as you at one point, or the Japan national team, so in one way it is incredible respect towards hinata that people expect him to now go pro.
I hope we get more volleyball content from you, no matter what it is. Reacting to your old matches, another "Day in the life", a trophy room tour. I need more Pavan!
I feel so lucky to join your Haikyuu journey! 🧡 I learned a lot while watching your videos. I would like to recommend you read the manga because it contains many details and epic panels!
Haikyuu! has been my favorite anime for years. The artist has a genuine passion for volleyball and wanted the world to embrace the sport. Out of all the reaction videos I've watched, Sarah's has got to be my favorite. Your love for the sport comes out when you connect each of the players in Haikyuu! It really is a shame that the remaining seasons gets condensed into 2 movies and to be released sometime in the future. If I may, I really encourage you to read the remaining chapters because you will find something truly special at the end of Haikyuu that you may not get simply by watching the anime. I promise you will still get full body chills, goosebumps and even moments when you'll cry because that is how much you may fall in love with Haikyuu!
It’s been such a blast following your journey, can’t wait for what’s next ! I really hope you will be able to see the end of haikyuu animated, it seriously is a wonderfully told story and the manga was one of my biggest life influences ! I started playing volley ball just before starting haikyuu and slowly watched it when i was learning how to play, so for me this story will forever be linked to the sports itself and i can’t be any happier about it
I cant wait to see the continuation of the series and then to watch it again while hearing your reactions. Thank you for being part of my week for the past months. I look forward to the future.
Sarah if you're reading this, i advise you read the manga before watching the movies that will come out soon for Haikyuu. The anime studio of Haikyuu is on a big rush right now and will likely cut a huge chunk of the manga's storylines in the process and you seriously wouldn't want to miss that. Whether you'd react to it for a video or do it on your own free time, either way is totally fine. I just want you to experience Haikyuu at it's full glory~
Thank you for your reactions on Haikyuu!!, it's so good to see you really enjoyed and loved the story! I'm not gonna lie, the emotional moments made me tears up or cry again 🙈 Thank you also for your little tips or explanations about volley ball, it was so interesting!! 😊 I think I speak for every haikyu fan here when I'm say I'm so hyped by seeing the serie finale (it'll be in 2 movies!) and seeing your reaction to these upcoming matchs 😊
I love Sarah’s reactions but I think she is wrong about saying that Atsumu shouldn’t set for Hinata and that Kageyama should always be his setter, but the whole relatiionship Kage/Hina is about competing with each other so the natural course of action should be Kageyama vs Hinata in a match. Also, we can see huge hints about some events that will happen next. The matches to come will be amazing epic, especially the next, not gonna say anything more just to avoid spoiling the whole thing 😁
I’ve started to watch your reactions since the first introduction of Nekoma and I cannot believe that we’re here. I had so many good memories with these reactions Sarah thank you so much for this!! Can’t wait for the movie reaction in the future and all other anime reactions on your other channel 💜
You're finally done with season 4 🥲 it was great knowing you through Haikyuu and I always look forward to watching your reactions! I can't wait for the Haikyuu final movies to come out and see your reaction to it. ❤❤❤
Loved going on this journey with you Sarah. This anime holds a special place in my heart, and I'm so glad you watched it with us. I'll be sure to continue to hit you up on your anime channel as well. 💙
Please don't forget that Hinata keeps tabs on how many times Kageyama has beaten him. So there is more of a rivalry than being teammates forever for their future endeavors :)
And there it is. When I played sports, knowing your "expiration" date compared to a pro who can conceivably play for as many years as they want was always something I hated. If you're on a bad team and just as you're starting to click and get better you have to leave hits me hard. You want to take pride in that you had a hand in that but also there's no worse feeling than seeing them rise without you.
Fridays aren't gonna be the same anymore, and all that's left is sending you the biggest THANK YOU for such wonderful reactions and commentary thorughout all these weeks. So happy to have been here for the ride, and I'm starting Run with the Wind so I can watch your reactions afterwards! ❤❤ As for suggestions for future content... To be honest, anything you do with as much passion and care as you did with the Haikyuu reactions is bound to be great, and I'll be there to support in any way I can. Thank you again for making my fridays so special, and I can't wait to see your future projects! Best of wishes ❤❤
I can't believe it's all finished (though hopefully, there would be those All-Stars Team vids to look forward to) & that I've been enjoying these Haikyuu reactions for *2 yrs*! Thanks for all the effort put into these! I enjoyed them immensely! Kita's last speech made me tear up again, too.🥲 & the fact that this would most likely be my last comment I leave for these reactions is giving me sentiments as well. Here I go with my usual personal opinions about the subs for the 1 last time: 24:04 「あいつ、サインとか考えるタイプじゃないだろう?」「ただの署名~」→ "You know he probably hasn't figured out his own autograph yet" "He'll just write his name". This is just fine, but if I'm to be picky, the more literal translation would be more like "(Come on), you know he's not the type (of person) who thinks about autographs, (right)?". "(It'll) just (be) a (regular) signature~". 31:14 「もう『昔の因縁の相手』じゃなくなってるんだよぉ」→ "They're not the team you've held a grudge against for so many years anymore". I personally find this translation & their choice of pronouns to be a bit "off". This line is tied in with the line right before, & thus should be more like "They(Nekoma)'re not just the 'fated opponents of old" to *them* (the Karasuno boys) anymore". Coach Ukai is saying that the boys aren't looking forward to the match-up or gonna give it their all just because of the existence of the old rivalry or just to please old coach Ukai, but because the rivalry has now become real & personal for themselves. I feel that their translation is missing something to fully convey that tone (& it sounds more like he's rather talking about the type of team Nekoma has become these days). Perhaps add "just" inbetween "not" & "the", &/or add "to them" at the very end?
It's been a great experience! I'm so happy you gave this series a shot (and just anime in general). I'll be on the other channel enjoying your other reactions while we wait for Haikyuu vids
Sarah san, If you hadn't done this stream, I wouldn't have had any interest in the Tokyo Olympics. Thank you for playing in such a difficult time. I will enjoy another stream of yours until the next Haikyuu.
We love you too, Sarah! 🧡🖤
Soon there will be two final films, called the haikyu finale, you can watch the trailer for the reaction
I'd love to see you tackle at least the first episode of blue lock. I know you're a volleyball pro but the ideology presented in blue lock would be so interesting to see interact with a pro of such a team focused sport
Did Sarah Saw the 2 team face off outside the stadium scene? I think she skipped that part
Atsumu: I'm going to set for you one day!
Hinata: I don't even know which one you are.
Idk why but I read this with the Thanos and Wanda interaction from Endgame in mind. Makes it even more hilarious
from "i dont see any worth in you" to the one of the best highschool setters saying "im gonna be setting to you one day", what a beautiful moment for hinata
Thanks Sarah for the reactions.
sarah’s adamant “NO” when atsumu said he would set for hinata in the future lmao 😭
she's fighting for her ship she's truly one of us! 😂
Should we tell her?? Jaajaja
😂
well I'm glad she isn't the writer.
@@Hamza-rm6ykFR. That was one of the best things to ever happen💯
Love that you caught Kanoka on TV. She's the ace on whats basically the girls' volleyball equivalent of shiratorizawa lol
So no, it's not gonna be him! 🫠
I agree, but Kageyama will always be and always have been Hinata's best partner🙌
Sarah's reaction to what Atsumu said to Hinata after the match
Sarah:"NO"
Me:😂🤣😂........ 😂🤣😂
Me: umm yeah about that lololol
I really like that quote from the sensei in Season 1! Thank you Haikyuu for bringing us all together!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ awesome comment!!!!!!
Nice call back reference
Sounds like something isagi would say
I just finished Sarah’s complete watch of the series, and yesterday the movie got announced for a May 31 release date in Canada and the US! Let’s get that Nekoma match!!!!
19:53 I think this is the first time I realized the "story about a snake jealous of a cat" on the TV ties directly to the previous scene, with the Nohebi player having to talk about Nekoma.
I think thats the best compliment a spiker can get from a setter, "im gonna be the one setting for you one day", its filled with recognition.
XD
@@DrumBandQc most of the negative comments get deleted when they are straight up disrespectful to Sarah (not to Haikyuu as a show)
@@DrumBandQcnot negative comments about haikyu, negative comments about her reactions
Thank you so much! I’m a cookie fan, so I’ll be sure to buy a bunch of them 🍪
Honestly, I don’t care about the comments. I just enjoy reacting and interacting with the people who appreciate what I’m doing, like you!! ❤️
highest-ranked anime of all time???? pipe down kiddo lmaooo@@DrumBandQc
27:04 "cat's spying on them" 🤣 I love the idea that Kenma is going such hardcore gamer mode that he's sending out neko reconnaissance
I'm so envious of Haikyuu fans just finishing season four not knowing what comes next. The best volleyball match, best "moment", best arc and best Kageyama-Hinata interactions are still to come ❤❤❤
2 movies.@@locomojoboy2
I love how Sarah got so aggressive when atsumu said he’ll be setting for hinata, I had the same reaction, kagehina 🧡🖤
Btw yes I’ve read the manga
It can’t come soon enough!! Thank you so much for your support!!
Thank you so much!! I have enjoyed every minute and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
Haikyuu season 5 will be long from now unfortunately, but we'll be following you till then!
The ending being 2 movies is a crime against this masterpiece of a series...!
YAY I hope you read the manga :)) even if you don't react to it WHILE reading the remaining bit, I'd love to hear your thoughts
@14:27 Kita Going from Captain to Third year was beautiful to see
"I wonder what Washijo thinks", 8:10 "let me know". Nice try, Sarah, I can see that bait to get spoilers from us coming a mile away.
Thank you for giving Haikyuu a chance and sticking with it till the latest season
Here's an extra tip just 'cause one can never have too many cookies (I just finished watching your reaction) 😄
You’re so sweet 🥰 thank you! 🙏🏻❤️
3年生が大地、旭、スガさんだった事は日向・影山、そして田中にとって大きな幸運だったと思います!
そして鵜飼さんがコーチになってくれたことも素晴らしい巡り合わせだと思います✨✨
I am stoked you enjoyed the series! Looking forward to more of your uploads
The next parts can’t come soon enough! Thank you, as always, for your support. I really appreciate it!
Sarah I really enjoyed your Haikyuu Reactions. Since you are a professional volleyball player it was awesome to see your insights the volleyball plays and your detailed explanations. Definitely the best reaction to Haikyuu!!! Thanks!!
I am normally not into reaction content, but your insight as a high level athlete has been super interesting. Thanks for taking the time to do these.
I have loved this anime and the community it has brought into my life. Thank you so much for being a part of it, and for your support ❤️
WHEN ATSUMU SAID "im gonna be setting to you one day" THOSE GUYS WHO READ THE MANGA KNOWS WHAT ATSUMU'S TRYING TO SAY🤣🤣
I've really enjoyed watching you every week and I'll miss your haikyuu reactions. I've tried other reactions but you just seem to be the most genuine hakyuu fan, which made it extra fun.
I've already started watching your other channel, so I'm glad there are still your videos to look forward to :)
Thank you for your videos, Sarah 😊
I didn't expect to feel emotional watching you're reaction to the final episode, but here we are. Thank you so much for this journey.
I think the thing that strikes me the most about Kita's "Well, Isn't my team amazing?" moment is that, to me, it's not just "I wanted to play more." Rather, I always felt like it was "I wanted ~you~ to have more chances to play."
I'm not sure if I'm articulating this right, but it feels like Kita is content to just be with his team, whether on the court or the bench.
Sarah saying NO 😂
Well, Hinata in 1st episode said he wants to beat Kageyama and Kageyama accept the challenge 😌
Also, Inarizaki's coach is the best. He blamed himself for the lost.
Congrats on finishing the anime, I hope you can read the manga too. I'm pretty sure the final movies won't do justice to the remaining stories 😢
It was a pleasure to see haikyuu again this time with you Sarah, you are the best reactor ❤
The final episode.. let’s go!
I love their analysis of characters and story lines❤
@@Old_Soul_ Agreed, they are very careful of not spoiling the post season 4 contents, and they go real deep into characters Sarah "dislike" like Oikawa and Tendou in a poignant way.
it has been sooooo fun to watch your reactions, and i've learned so much about volleyball too! you're awesome
Watching your reactions and remembering how excited I was my first time has totally reignited my love for this series. Thank you!
Also, I just wanted to sort of touch on Washijo as a character and how awesome he is and what he eventually becomes in the manga:
After Karasuno beat Shiratorizawa, Washijo came to a realization that he just didn’t maximize his potential enough even at his height or as he would like to put it “lack of strength”.
All the little curve balls he threw at Hinata was him more so saying “well, I know what you can do, you can be better, but you can’t be that unless you can fight on your own”
I love that he brought Hinata back down to Earth in that first episode by being BRUTALLY honest with him because Hinata wouldn’t have even realized that OTHER PEOPLE KNEW he can’t do much without Kags.
The only anime reaction that I watched. I'm so glad I got to rewatch this with you! You added so much.
Haikyuu! has been my favorite anime for years.
I'm not gonna lie, the emotional moments made me tears up or cry again 🙈
Thank you also for your little tips or explanations about volley ball, it was so interesting!! 😊
I think I speak for every haikyu fan here when I'm say I'm so hyped by seeing the serie finale (it'll be in 2 movies!) and seeing your reaction to these upcoming matchs 😊
A hundred yes to Sarah to reading the manga! There's so many good content that were cut out (and would be cut out)!
You're finally done with season 4 🥲 it was great knowing you through Haikyuu and I always look forward to watching your reactions! I can't wait for the Haikyuu final movies to come out and see your reaction to it. ❤❤❤
I'm hyped as hell for more Kita love!!
Thank you Sarah for the review of all the seasons, it was fun watching it again with you :)
The one thing i got out of all this reaction journey is beach volleyball is more fun than i thought it would be
And there it is.
What a ride!! I’m going to miss the weekly reactions to Haikyuu so much! Thank you!
Fridays aren't gonna be the same anymore, and all that's left is sending you the biggest THANK YOU for such wonderful reactions and commentary thorughout all these weeks. So happy to have been here for the ride, and I'm starting Run with the Wind so I can watch your reactions afterwards! ❤❤
As for suggestions for future content... To be honest, anything you do with as much passion and care as you did with the Haikyuu reactions is bound to be great, and I'll be there to support in any way I can. Thank you again for making my fridays so special, and I can't wait to see your future projects! Best of wishes ❤❤
"whose booty is that?" Lmao. Anyways I thank you for the reactions, you made my Fridays awesome.
I agree with you that it was the perfect ending to the series and it was a joy to follow you and this ride with Karasuno
Here I go with my usual personal opinions about the subs for the 1 last time:
24:04 「あいつ、サインとか考えるタイプじゃないだろう?」「ただの署名~」→ "You know he probably hasn't figured out his own autograph yet" "He'll just write his name".
I'm so glad that I watch this one to know that Sarah made another reaction to anime
IM NOT CRYING! I'll miss your reactions, it's been a journey. Hopefully we learn more about the next stage of Haikyuu soon!
