Hi Brian and Steph! Would like to suggest you react on 15-16 at the same time because 15’s animation was a bit off, it was outsourced to another studio because of pandemic, though everything is back to normal by 16.
The one that you saw about the guy who has a cut in his side hair.

@BrianxStephanie the next episode was outsourced to another production studio so the rhythm and a fair bit of the animation is far weaker then it should be. While there are a significant number notable hiccups in the animation and the models, it's not like 100% of the animation was bad, there are definitely many great elements of animation and in regards to the models where they look like they should.
It's just most of the fandom kind've overreacted to the issue by using the instances of bad animation to declare all of it bad when that's really not the case.
if u guys didn't notice the line "This position, this timing, this angle" that Atsumu said is exactly what Kageyama said in S1
That's Atsumu saying? I thought it was Kageyama

Yeeess, this is exactly what tipped me off to the Miyas doing the demon quick during the match, since they added in the Atsumu’s “This position...This timing...this angle” line in the trailer

I wish we all have been prepared for that ep... damn had to watch it twice to understand what happened as I was totally distracted by the animation
I don´t know if this is true but I´ll say it anyways... a friend of mine told me that the reason for that episode to be like that poor animated is becouse the animation house (I call like that the people that do anime, i don´t remember the name for that) that did it was not the one in charge of the anime, they got paid by the encharges ones but it was not their work

The twins freak quick was never done before this match, the did it as a psychological hit to karasuno. That's what made it so scary is that they've never done it but did it because of Atsumus talent.

The miya twins don't actually have anything like the kagehina quick. Atsumu was just so fascinated by it, before his last serve you can see he tells Osamu "we can't miss a chance to score, am i right?". As they're twins, Osamu figured out what he meant which is why he made that face. So, after the ball came back to Inarizaki's side, Osamu just knew he had to obviously run and Atsumu brought the ball to him (hence Osamu saying : the ball really did show up in surprise because they've never done anything like that). That's just what makes it even more scary. Atsumu saw it only like a minute ago, he tried it, and managed to execute it perfectly. One thing to note, Kagehina's quick already HAS evolved as we saw back in s2, so the one the miya twins are doing is essentially the old one. Atsumu isn't doing the one where the ball stops midair.
The next episode's animation is bad but it gets back to normal in episode 16
4:20 that guy is Kiryu, one the so called Top 3 aces of High School next to Ushijima and Sakusa (germaphobe mask guy from Itachiyama)

Don't worry about next episode. Episode 15 is definately the "2020" episode but, 16 is amazing and there won't very likely be another episode like that.

The thing is in real life, just because you know something's coming or anticipated it, that doesn't mean you will be able to handle or counter it perfectly. That's why I don't like how in anime when certain character can see the future or something they can dodge attacks perfectly or destroy the opponent completely, that's bs.
That's the case of the serve here, yes you know its a floater, but are you gonna be able to receive it nicely though? Nishinoya isn't comfortable with floater serve because 90% of the opponent they faced always use jump serve(or call top spin)
