I watched that part a couple of times and saw that Satoshi had about two and a half full spoonfuls of the soup to Shinichi's small sip. No wonder he reacted to the spiciness! When Shinichi drank more of the soup, he discovered it was indeed spicy. Too spicy for me to even try!
Neoguri is Korean for raccoon dog, which is different from a "regular" raccoon - they're more closely related to foxes. They're known as tanuki in Japan.
The more specific English is indeed "Raccoon Dog" and sometimes preceded with "Japanese." However, in common terms, people in English would likely call Tanuki "Raccoons" anyways based on their appearance. Tanuki are canids, the same family as dogs and foxes and the rest of em, but their species names reflects their raccoon appearance. Actual raccoons are in the family with ringtails and other things. Some people may or may not know the distinction and Mario may not be a likely increase to that, possibly the reverse (I don't know any research/stats on that: conjecture.) And like you said with true foxes... plus Japanese lore, cute~ ^^
that's the thing with Korean food in the beginning I tastes delicious, flavorful, a bit sweet and not spicy at all, but with every spoon and every bite heat starts growing in the mouth, on your lips, you start sneezing, but can not stop, because it's so yummy
the spicy noodle named buldak is added with kimchi flavor. its package shows collaboration with Jinro which is a soju company, but nothing to do with flavor, just in using Jinro’s frog character in pacakage.
I've had that Jong-ga Kimchi Ramen before and they're not lying when they say it's gekikara. It's not really a tongue spicy - it's a stomach burning type of spicy. If you have a weak stomach you should avoid drinking the soup.
For flamin' hot mac-n-cheese, boil Samyang's fire chicken (aka buldak-bokkeum-myeon) for 5 minutes, drain, add fire sauce, 1 pat of butter, 3 tablespoons of powdered cheese (get it in 1 or 2 pound containers from Amazon), mix and enjoy.
Sapporo Ichiban is my favorite brand of instant Ramen. The noodles are slightly thicker and the broth is super tasty! Add in a few shakes of Togarashi for a little spicy kick and it’s lunch time perfection.
I can't belive you guys ate all of it! Even though you shared thats a lot lol, teaspoon again for another entertaining video clip. I'll have to see if our local Korean market carries some of these noodles you featured. We're limited in Florida
Kind of funny how the spice hit you at two different times. Well, maybe not so much for you. Fun video. Lots of interesting noodles. And at a time I was able to watch right away!
Yeah cup man is back 😂 Hello Shinichi and Satoshi 🌺🤗 they could use dehidrated chicken like in instant chicken soup you both scared 😨 me with the 3 time hot one !
Yes. regular Neoguri has some good spice to it. I have had Angry Neoguri and love it. Do not enrage the raccoon-dog! *Shinichi:* It IS spicy, but It's not unbearable! *Also Shinichi, 6 video-seconds later:* K O F F K O F F koff
The return of Cup Man!!!! Live long and prosper, little man, lol. Quite enjoyed this! Love international type ramen videos. :) That Rabokki was fascinating!, but thought it would have those rice cakes in it. Maybe just the sauce on ramen noodles. Shinichi "This is sooo good" Satoshi *trying not to die* lol
I was honestly concerned about Satoshi during this video. I hope he was fine afterwards. The only Korean instant noodles I've personally tried are Nongshin Shin Ramyun and Shin Ramyun Black. The Black is very spicy for me, but very tasty. Apparently the one imported to the US is milder than the domestic Korean product though.
Ive had the direct korean imports. you can get them at asian grocery stores. you know they are genuine if the nutrition label is a sticker over the orginal. still not that spicy IMHO
So happy to see cupman again. I wanted to buy one for myself but these little guys are incredibly expensive. A pack of 3 costs 52 Euro (almost 7000 Yen / 65 USD). 😮
Oooh, oooh, I learned a fun tanuki fact the other day: they get translated as 'raccoon' into English when translators want to help people imagine what they look like. The more precise translation is 'raccoon dog' and they are more closely related to foxes than either raccoons or dogs.
Jongga is a kimchi brand and i think they make some side dishes too. My Korean hair stylist recommended Jongga to me and I've been eating my weight in kimchi since then. i love those Neoguri ramen though (as usual, it wasn't overly spicy for me lol) and i've been wondering for the longest time now... where can i buy a Cup-Man from? Loft?
@@aznmochibunny True but there are Lactose free milks out there. If you can't drink cow's milk there's goat's milk, almond milk and milk made from bananas. My sister's youngest son couldn't drink either cow or goat's milk when he was born some 35 or so years ago. That's when we discovered the banana milk.
Yes ,Racoons. Japanese Love these mammals native to North America. I hear that Japan imported them once because of a TV show that made people want them but realized they are PESTS, NOT PETS and now they are wild invasive Species of Japan.
I love your channel. I have tried Korean and other packaged noodle dishes and I like many of them. But most have much too much salt. There are some that I eat fairly often and I use only 1/2 of the soup base packet and yet they are still good. I wonder if it would be possible to make some of them with less salt and include a separate salt packet or suggest that you add your own to taste.
I think there is a Korean noodle brand that does less sodium but it's not spicy based. Other than that, I think you'd might have to try those American brand organic ramen noodles.
