Thank you my friend. It’s one of my favorite effects but you always hear it with a Hendrix song so I wanted to take a closer look of just the bare sounds to hear what it’s really doing to your tone.

Thanks for the demo. For the versatility as a more general modulation pedal, I appreciated hearing the Thorpy’s potential. The Sabbadius line does one trick so very well. But that ‘throb’ only has some pretty specific applications for me.

Thanks for that comparison - both Uni-Vibes are cool, the Sabbadius is in a league of its own though 🔥The Sabbadius also has The Uni-Vibe‘s preamp. This was a crucial element to the late Jimi era tone. Old UVs had no bypass, only cancellation mode (foot pedal in heel position). I’m coming dangerously close to Jimi’s tone with the Sabbadius…go check 😉🎸🔥

This is probably the only ER-2 demo that it actually sounds like a Uni-Vibe! I'm glad you put it up against the best vibe on the market.
The Sabbadius has more inconsistent modulation to it which makes it closer and more authentic. The ER-2 is great for the price and comes close but just doesn't have it when on the chorus side. I do like the Vibrato side better on the ER-2 like you pointed out. But lets be honest we're all looking at Univibes for the chorus.

Thank you so much. I totally agree. There is something special about that inconsistent chorus sound of a true univibe that just makes me happy. But the er-2 does do a great job. It just can’t quite get that true vintage tone

I really don't think that the Jimi Hendrix song Wind Cries Mary had a Univibe in it.... Maybe you're getting it mixed up with Little Wing?!? I do completely agree with your assessment of the best modern Univibe though, Sabbadius by Nico the Wizard!!! 🙏🙏🙏✌️✌️✌️

I own a Drybell and it's ok. Check out the Shiftee Vibe (best one I've ever heard, including the original) = Thick, hypnotic, liquid-underwater "Throb" - oNe LovE from NYC

Had a Sabbadius Tiny Vibe 69 for a bit. My favorite part of it was the sweet preamp in bypass. Blended beautifully with other pedals.
