Seems like the opinions on Jennie's controversy are 50:50. Which 50 are you on? 👀
Jennie can do whatever she wants, she is a grown woman but that is not her private free time, that’s her job and a lot of people that went to to concert are minors. I think she should be a little bit careful in the public but in her private time she can do whatever she wants.
Oh please it is not 50:50. 99% of her fans are, yk, ✨normal✨ and understand that this is her body as a grown woman who is competing capable of wearing and acting however she wants. She doesn't belong to us and we have zero say in what she's wearing, neither does it matter anyway. Those couple of weird fans don't represent us
@@carina6935 this concert is late at night in paris, not sk. You'll act completely different if it was a random western artist, but because you look at kpop idols like babies the response is different? She's not their parent. Those minor's parents are the ones that should be setting the boundaries for their children, not her
@@bornpink3069 Girl what? I react the same way to western artists. Also the western artists that act like this have this image, so everyone knows that they’re going to do this, but Jennie doesn’t so it’s unexpected and a little bit shocking for some people ( not me btw, I know she is a grown woman and can do whatever she wants). I understand that some people are shocked, I don’t understand the hate tho. And just because the concert is late at night, it won’t prevent minors from going, a friend of mine went to their concert on Germany, and it was also late at night. The minors will get in together with their parents so there were definitely minors. However, I didn’t said that she isn’t allowed to dress like this, I just said that it’s not her private time but a concert full of minors. I just said that she might be a little but careful but at the end of the day I don’t care what she does. I just think that we should look at this from a objective way, and that means to consider that she is an idol and idols are expected by the Korean public to have an innocent personality so I understand Korean fans when they’re uncomfortable. Doesn’t change the fact that she is a grown woman and can wear whatever she wants, but I understand them. I wasn’t hating on her btw, I agree that she should wear whatever she wants. You guys should stop getting so sensitive every time.
@@carina6935 who is getting sensitive honey you're not that important💀 and like u said, you're not shocked, cuz u understand she's a grown women. So do the parents and minors going to this concert should. And trust, because of it's last hour, u won't be seeing anyone under 12 there. Which is grown enough to see this things, it's not like bp are a group with cute concept either so I don't understand any of this shocked ppl, and it doesn't matter that they're from sk because they're not performing there anyway
I hate that groups are forced to act like the missing member never existed. it’s cruel!
They could get sued for using the name of someone who's not part of something anymore for reasons we don't know because Jinni left for personal reasons.
@@c.lineofficial wth it's really sad 😭
Jennie is closer to 30s than to teenage years, what I'm trying to say is that she is a grown woman and is nice that she is acting her age instead of acting cutesy cringy childlike as other idols her age
She's having fun... ? They can't have fun while on stage? it's kind of weird... it would be different if she were in a bar, with a bunch of men around her, dancing on a table or something? lol... but she's not? I think it's weird that people want to box her in and limit what she is doing, she's not a robot. And I agree with you, she's not pretending to be all innocent, she's a woman!
Yes, but it was a concert...
they wear cloths . Have you ever seen bts shirtless grinding on girls or something . Bts promote and respect their culture . Jennie behave like western and west don’t have any culture , morals and values . Korean don’t want to degrade their country with westernisation
@@jayjoseph-r5t Jenni is more western than anything, Korea has wrong values too like racial discrimination and overwork, also I don't care about the West having values or not since I am not a westerner

As an idol jennie has responsabilities To respect the korean culture and tradition dont try to enforce your western ideologie on them . Why they are criticized because kpop was created specifically for asian with asian social norms so when you try to be a american wannabe dosent work. Logic
Jennie just being her self because she 26 and does not need to be have like a 5 years old shes a grown woman
I don’t get people, if Jennie is. Enjoying herself they criticised her but if Jennie is not on the mood and dont have the energy in concerts they also criticise her😅😅😅 i think no matter what they jennie do people or haters will find ways to criticise her.. but at the end of the day Jennie decides what she wants and what she do besides shes already 26yo… i just don’t get kpop fans/haters in exaggerating things…

Being confident and being vulgar are two different things
@@glittery_heart3029 Call your favorite male idols vulgar when they do sexy dance moves or wear revealing clothing too, and then we'll agree. Otherwise just say you're sexist and move on.

@@goldenhourss somi is doing absolutely amazing as a soloist ..
Jennie is 26 and I think because she’s been visiting America lately, she’s has been wanting to express herself in a more mature and adult way.
Anyway, I think it’s crazy that Jennie’s dance is considered inappropriate, when there are literal k-dramas, trying to establish relationships with minors and adults, like Backstreet rookie. Plus male idols dance in a more provocative way.
Like ppl just be picking and choosing when they want to say something is bad.
Here we are fighting that men should objectify us and she is there wearing short dresses
Korean people hate Jennie so don't worry bp is not for korea, for globaly.

Jennie was not performing in the kindergarten, but in Paris, European capital of glamour and provoke style. I think it was appropriate to give something extra to her fans there. You never satisfy k-nets, so just live your life, Jennie!
It is understandable that in a CONCERT where no one expected it, or there are many minors with their parents, that some people may be shocked. If it had been at a party, his story or something more private and expected that a concert no one would have something to say.

Jennie is unapologetically savage and free, I just love seeing her enjoying herself.
Honestly, if people sees Jennie and a kid comes to mind, they need to check themselves, that's wrong.
She seems more like pre debut Jennie
1. I said this before I'm not a fan of Nmixx but I did notice Jinni and was able to recognise her very quickly...So I think it's a shame she left..But I respect Jinni and believe that she has a fair reason for this...And I hope the rest of the members will be able to move forward ...Fighting Nmixx and Jinni...
2. I don't have a strict opinion about Jenni..It's true there are much more young fans in kpop ..But all western artists do this right??So if her fans are okay with that netizens shouldn't bug her ..
3. I don't hate or dislike Wonyoung but if the company wants to keep the IVE group together for some more time they should stop highlighting Wonyoung this much even if she brings more money to their bag...What's more...If they really want it...Let wonyoung be a soloist.. Actually I agree in everything with u but wonyoung can blow up solo too she was already the most wanted young artist for Modeling companies and they still want her and when she was the 13 and was the center the judge said " the center was well chosen " wonyoung made the judge smile with one blink . I personally noticed I've and izone because of wonyoung she is just attractive and talented
1. Honestly, I feel like something went down behind the scenes with Jinni. The only time I've seen erasure of an idol like this was for Ilhoon from BtoB for smoking weeeed. They literally blurred him from performance clips in Kingdom 2.
2. TOTALLY AGREE!
3. TOTALLY AGREE AGAIN!
what a stupid comment about wonyoung ! .... Starship let Wonyoung and Yujin join p48 / IZONE is to become popular idols to promote their future gg (IVE) because they are a SMALL company ! why you think Hybe get Sakura and Chaewon immediately to their group Le sserafim ? are they too damn talented ??? again what a stupid comment !
First of all, Ive girls get more solo activities than most 4th gg’s. Maybe If you stop focusing on Wony so much, you’d be able to see that.
The wonyoung favouritism is honestly very exploitative. Yes she’s very gorgeous, but she’s popular BECAUSE she’s in a group. She can’t dance and sing well enough to be a soloist, unlike Hyuna and Nayeon etc. Her popularity is built on the existence of other IVE members to carry the choreos and vocals for her. I don’t believe that she could sing After Like by herself.
The other members help wonyoung get so much popularity and opportunities, and what does the company give them in return? Plain unflattering outfits like those given to Rei and Liz?
I don’t hate Wonyoung for it but this situation is very unfair. I don’t see Lisa or Karina getting this much favouritism despite being the most popular Blackpink/Aespa member by far.
I think wony should've debuted as a soloist after disbandment of izone because neither wony nor ive would've recieved such hate and wony could do whatever she want without getting criticized like being an mc or wearing better clothes.
It won't be happened if Starshit didn't create Wonyoung (and Yujin actually) got the most spotlight scenario in any moments IVE could had. I mean, imo it's okay to utilize it but not in exaggerating level and that's what Starshit exactly done. Worst, it seems like Starshit direct them (especially Wony) to act in a way that can cause controversy so they keep gaining fame and all the hate recieved is directly towards the idol automatically instead of the company when they're the one that need to be blamed
@@farewell-done2412 yeah that's totally true
Karina said something like the opposite of love isn't hate, it's apathy.
That's why Ive is thriving because the hate only gives them attention. Neither Ive nor Solo Wonyoung would be THIS successful if it wasn't for Starships promotion
Well I'm not sure if if minors can become soloists in a field like kpop, nor would they want to with how sketchy it can be sometimes. She would've been able to work in a group if Starship waited longer, but at the end of the day they "need" Wonyoung and Yujin's fame.
I disagree, wony debuted as a soloist can make it even worse, people actually never hate IVE, they just hate wonyoung. They said that wonyoung is giving them bad vibes based on her "behavior" and decided to hate on her. Genius, right?
Not even Hyolyn the face of the group and main vocal in Starship's girl group, Sistar got favouritism on the level of Wonyoung and Hyolyn was/ is one of the most talented idols in the whole of Kpop including in dance.
The thing was Hyolyn was heavily criticized because of her visuals, people called her visual hole in the group, even when she had a lot of fans because how charming and talented she was.
Wonyoung is breathtakingly beautiful but she's clearly not a singer and her dancing is lackluster, she probably can still make as a solist in a kpop scene where everyone lipsing but it's a risk for starship, so they made it IVE.
What I don't get is why they didn't try to capitalize on Yujin's large fanbase, I feel like she had a lot of support during Izone days and now is slowly losing it because starship treats her as the rest of the girls. It's frankly bizarre.
Plus when all know how shitty that company can be and it's not news how harsh with weight management they were with WJSN, I'm happy they didn't try to force Liz into a harsh diet, but I also don't understand why they would just care so little about the 3rd most liked member of the group. She's the only one beside the ex-izone girls that the public easily recognized and liked at first, and starship seems intended in burying her.
@@joiceraiana agreed. i feel like starship is burying liz or smth.
@@joiceraiana Yet her visuals were still good enough to model for Banila Co and Amipure and more.
@@joiceraiana you are so braindead with having that narrative. Ive girls get more solo activities than most 4th gen gg’s.
It is literally not favoritism. If you had watched the video, you would know that Wonyoung was just the mc/announcer of that particular event (hence the different outfit). She probably didn’t have time to change out of her dress and redo her styling before moving to the group shot (as with most “controversies” where she’s wearing a different outfit than the rest of the members). 😅 It is really not that deep. Plus, the netizens criticized Wonyoung’s dress and IVE’s styling overall, saying that ALL of them look like grannies, so it’s not like the public looked at only Wonyoung favorably. I really hate these types of videos with misleading titles, because most people don’t watch until the end and therefore never understand the full context… and I’m sorry to say, but when Sistar was active, I remember people did criticize Hyolyn for being given the most lines. Some fans even said Sistar was all about Hyolyn (despite Soyou and Bora getting a lot of screen time too), so it’s clear to me that people like to nitpick on the popular members and blame it on “favoritism”
As much as I stanned IVE upon debut… the fandom’s a mess and their relationship as a group just isn’t there unlike Le Sserafim and NMIXX. I hope the girls do stop getting involved in all sorts of controversies especially ones about Wonyoung. It gets a little overboard at times.
Jinni leave the group without reason..
Wonyoung did nothing problem the People trying make her as bad since they re insecure and jobless

@@Dino-pk5hc Read into that how you like but I’ve been a fan of these girls since IZ*ONE and I can tell you for a fact that WIZONEs are better than how you’re acting right now. Which is why I’m saying I hope Wony stops getting the hate that she’s been getting when she joined IVE.
ive has been getting so much hate since debut so fans are a lot more protective and easily triggered so i dont blame them. Also, theres a lot of solo stan for some reason.

She really belonged in the group and amongst her clearly loved members
@@LiD0349 i m gonna miss "nmixx " line by her because vocal when music is changing... Hope she joins again
@@LiD0349 JYP has already said in the past that whatever the reason for a member to withdraw from the group they won't disclose it even if their artists breached a contract or has done something that's against their policy, because he still wants that artist to be successful somewhere. Do you really think it would help if they disclose whatever reason Jinni left? What if it's way worse than people assume? It would ruin her for the rest of her life. A rumor (even though it's awful) made by netz are better than confirming a dirty secret, because at least a rumor dies down.
Starship will keep dressing Wonyoung that way because it always gets a reaction of y’all, and thus, brings more attention to the group

It’s nice to see Jennie so confident and embracing herself
Why would it matter if Jennie “doesn’t fit the sexy narrative “ like Hyuna or Hwasa, (love them btw) if she’s confident and feels like dancing and twerking what’s so wrong with that? If it seems awkward or weird so be it. It’s not your job to tell a woman whether she’s sexy or not, especially when she’s feeling good. Plus I’ve definitely seen hyuna wear clothes just as or even more provocative than what jennie was wearing when performing in Korea! And yes hyuna has received a fair share of hate bc of that. Y’all just can’t wait to shame another woman.
Additionally, people keep bringing up the point that BP fans are mainly young girls. You’re telling me that they’ve never seen a woman twerk before? Like they’ve definitely seen worser things on the internet. Jennie twerking will not hinder their “innocence” or whatever tf y’all want to claim.
I’m not even going to start with the double standards. Jennie is a performer and entertainer...... she's working!!

bahaha working right
If they want to push wonyoung so badly why didn’t they just debute her as a soloist
1. I’m pretty sure JYP has done this same thing with Woojin after his contract got terminated and he left Stray Kids. They were quick to delete his appearance as well and I might think it’s because they want to prevent some kind of lawsuits in the process or something like that, I’m not sure though but I don’t think Jinni’s case is the first one…? Correct me if I’m wrong though
2. Jennie is an adult woman, I see no issues with how she acts or dresses and it’s also not the first time she’s been under knetz created drama for her outfits, acts or even an mv shot that they had to remove. There are other kpop female idols who act or dress similarly and never get bashed for it because “it’s their style” but when it comes to Jennie the world splits open which is annoying asf. Besides a point I’ve noticed over the years, ALL kpop groups as soon as they perform outside of Korea or generally Asia, they to wild and have proper fun doing whatever they want. It’s nothing new and nothing to create scandals over. But since it’s Jennie we all know why it’s a topic to begin with.
3. Lastly, I can’t seem to find a way on how to stan IVE in any shape way or form and I won’t lie I dont even know. Wonyoung's style this time is not an issue as she didnt have time to change to mc right after the red carpet and im pretty sure they were one of the last groups to step on the red carpet also. but its a known fact that IVE's stylists are just straight up ignorant or lazy imo, they havent been trying to even style them in an interesting way or in a way that would suit their images or body types. but apart from that, the entire interview portion seems just untasteful and quite weird. they never seemed that close in my eyes but there are occasional moments where im like "i know they're young but age doesn't excuse you from not having any manners" and like as a group, where everyone agreed to skip the question, why would you still answer it by yourself by throwing your teammate under the bus. a joke is funny only when its made at a right time in the right way, not when you want to make a joke and then expect everyone to find it funny.
#1 - That's a good point. I wasn't paying attention to SKZ at the time the Woojin controversy happened.
#2 - 100%
#3 - I love Ive's music, but I honestly only stan Yujin. Their styling is terrible (everything honestly seems to be built around whatever WooYoung is wearing, and the other members get leftovers as an after-thought), but WooYoung totally had a reason to wear what she did this time.
#4 - Gaeul just seems like she can't read a room. The question on its own isn't bad. Plenty of other groups have answered it. What made it bad was that Gaeul didn't realize that no one in the group wanted it to be answered, and Gaeul also didn't realize WHY Liz was wearing what she does.
I agree with #2

The problem with Ive is that if starship wants them to continue as a group they have to stop treating wonyoung as if she is the only one carrying the group.. I Agree that wonyoung brings the most money but there are other members too they have feelings to, you can't just treat them as backup dancer.. Also starship treating wonyoung more specially feeds for the haters to hate wonyoung and wonyoung might get affected with celebrity disease. The other members might feel left out and end their contract.. If starship wants to highlight wonyoung so much they should rather debut her as a soloist and let ive continue with 5 members
Anyways wonyoung appears more as soloist rather than the center of a kpop group she has more solo projects compared to any other members...
Not only that, i also think because starship favor wonyoung too much, we can see wonyoung have problem manner too. Plus, i also boring with wonyoung doing the same aegyo and face which is nothing. Plus, she need to thanks to mnet that bringing her name on top now. As we all know, sakura le sserafim are true winner for Produce 101 Season 3. If not that, wonyoung will same boat as yujin now. Starship need to treat ive a good manner as artist. I worried they cannot stay long. Thanks to the good song they have, it make ive lovable
There's a fine line between being sexy and being vulgar
This.
There is line between fan and idol
And Jennie was not being vulgar. Objectively so.
Bro I seriously don't get the problem with Jennie doing what she did. She's an adult who has the freedom to do what she wants and if homegirl wants to twerk on a stage let her. You're seriously going to criticize her for that meanwhile male kpop idols perform shirtless all the time and it's fanservice to fans but it's wrong when she does it? Also I get that Korea is conservative and all but she wasn't in Korea and it wasn't Korean fans going to see her there so again what is the problem here??? If a mature bad girl image is what she's going for she has all the right to do so. She doesn't owe anyone anything than performance 😂😂😂😂.
My 14 years old friend went to Blackpink's concert and she met a girl who was even younger than her. They weren't there in France, but It still bad. They are literally kids and their parents paid a lot just to show their kid something, they could have seen in a stripper bar. Ppl need to leave Jennie alone for real.. she is a gorgeous young woman who loves herself no different than any other female artist out there.. shit if I had her looks and confidence I would do the same thing lol she just having fun
1. Jinni's situation is low-key giving me SNSD Jessica vibes. Yes, the most probable reason for JYP removing Jinni's photos could be that thing of them not being allowed to use her imagery since she's no longer their worker (similarly to how HYBE edited Garam out of Le Sserafim's documentary) yet unlike with Jinni, Garam is still included in a lot of Le ssera's debut content & the fact that JYP even went as far as asking Mnet to remove Jinni from the Mama GG collab is so extra, one can't help but wonder if the reason for Jinni's departure was something severe... but also the spreading of really exaggerated rumours w/o even a hint of proof will just cause the same chaos that was created when Woojin left SKZ so I'm 50/50.
2. Back in the day, I used to think people were exaggerating this thing of double standards in every aspect of Kpop but the longer I've been a fan, the longer I see what people have been trying to say... Never once have I seen the same amount of backlash & vitrole when male idols (don't get me wrong, I still love them) who are naked from the waist up & are literally grinding/humping the stage... Fans almost never complain about them acting too provocatively & just call it fanservice. Yet as soon as an adult female idol who is perfectly comfortable with her body decides to also act mature or wear something mature, she is acting slutty & "nOt LIkE a kPoP iDOl" .. I've seen it with Joy, I've seen with it Momo, I've seen it with Yunjin & now I'm seeing it with Jennie...like... y'all are saying the industry is debuting babies & you want sexy concepts to come back yet when the legal idols give you those sexy concepts, it's also a problem?!😭
if they were removing her for legal reasons they would have to remove every idol that left their company as well as her parts edited out of the mv's. she was contracted and working for the company at the time, they have a right to use any content that she created underneath them. Garam was probably cut out because it was a bullying scandal
jennie slayed lmao
Nothing new just Jennie again being haters punching bag
Tbh, i have no issue WY being pretty and she fits in Korean standard being that pretty. Imo the real issue is she is being pushed a lot by her company that her schedule is packed, chasing all to maintain her popularity. She is human, not a robot. They also named her as one of IT Girls from 4th gen. Having said that, i just dont understand why she is being the center of everything. Besides being pretty, her other talents are just mediocre-be it singing, dancing, MCing, etc. So putting her in the spotlight (by choosing her more then her team members) is actually inviting more critism. Ppl would judge how good she dances, how good she sings, how good she is as the MC. Well, I guess Koreans really favor visuals, thats it. Thats how i see it. The end
why is it only an issue with wonyoung? most other groups also have the visual and center position and visuals like jin, jisoo, tzuyu, etc are often not that talented or are very mediocre talent wise, so why is only an issue worth complaining about when it’s about wonyoung? let the girl breathe
You act like you know wonyoung.
Wonyoung was songwriter at 15 yo and know played piano flute violon
@@lavienrosewon8811 what did she write? Are you pertaining about way back Izone. She stated it was her song but she's not alone who write it and work for it.
@@lavienrosewon8811 how many songs have she wrote? so she is on top because she knows how to play piano and flute? Thats common. Other idols have "other talents" too such as sang in opera before, have blackbelt in taekwando, did ice skating as an athelete before becoming an idol, produce their own songs, etc. We are now discussing main talent as an idol-singing and dancing. In both area she is mediocre. Her other team members are better than her in this two field.
IA, except I don't think her talents are mediocre. She average.
Oml just let Jennie live the way she dresses is none of y’all’s business geez let the poor girl breathe.

This IS our Jennie. She’s finally being herself for fuck sake. Let her be herself! Let her have fun! She’s a grown ass woman that wants to have some fun on tour. Are you guys forgetting that Jennie is almost 27 years old?
If you don’t want your children to see, then you shouldn’t show them it. It’s YOUR job as a parent to protect your children, not Jennie’s! Personally, I think she looked great.
Also, yes it’s a concert, but at the end of the day, we all know concerts can get a bit provocative sometimes. Just look at Cardi B, Jessi, HyunA and Lady Gaga.
If this was anyone else, you guys wouldn’t bat an eye, but just because it’s Jennie - aka K-Pop netizens’ human punching bag, ya’ll are making a huge deal about it?
And if the 2 ponytails with bows are making you uncomfortable, just wait until you get to know the Lolita concept.
To end my statement I’d like to point out that she was NOT disrespecting Korean culture and traditions just because she danced and dressed more provocatively than accepted in South Korea. She wasn’t acting like this in a country that was strictly religious or was not familiar with this kind of stuff.
She did this is Paris, France. A place filled with glamour and provocative style. If she was going to do this anywhere on the tour, this was just the right place.
SAY IT LOUD AND CLEAR!💖
*YES* ! SAY IT LOUDER!
Care to elaborate on the Lolita concept?
@@vivaille_ Lolita is a concept based off of the novel by Vladimir Nabokov ‘Lolita’. In the novel we see a middle-aged literature teacher being obsessed with his 12-year-old student.
In Japan and sometimes even K-Pop, Lolita gets used to describe a certain style, very popular in eastern Asia. Lolita is usually grown women dressing up like children to attract attention (often sexualisation).
People who go for the Lolita look will most likely wear a school uniform of some sort, bright clothing (such as light pink or baby blue), they will sometimes carry child-like items such as teddy bears around. The dresses/skirts also often have childlike prints on them such as unicorns, puppies, kittens or teddy bears. To get more of a view on what they wear, search it up on Google.
Also, they will usually wear makeup that is very bright and makes their face look like a child (creepy IK).
The people that enjoy the Lolita concepts are usually pedophiles and the people that enjoy sexualising themselves while dressed up as little girls are just as worse.
@@rosesavocado8557 okay so I was thinking of the right term of Lolita; I wasn't aware of the first description with Vladimir tho, so ty for elaborating.
