- While IVE is currently the most talked-about and most successful rookie girl group achievement-wise, some believe they are also the MOST HATED act until now. What is the problem with this newly debuted girl group? Why were they loved at the beginning but so hated now? We’ll try to gather all the reasons in this video for you guys. The more you watch, the more serious they will get.

Wonyoung and her laziness. She would only do hard if it's her part. She might have forgotten that their is a focus and solo cam. Blinded by her fame and she's acting up. To those who will come to me. Watch first solo famcam from all music shows and you can see the difference. Why would an issue broke out about her laziness if Fans can discern and they have evidences to back up their claims.
when Wonyoung didnt bow to the nct members, the clip was cut. I saw the original one, she bowed, then put the pumpkin, then bowed more. With Jeongyeon, i saw a vid saying she was looking at her for an answer and that she likes twice. But it also said she blinks a lot and it looks like she rolls her eyes, this has been a habit since her time in iz*one. but the outfits is something i have to agree with
If you're going to talk about my video and the comment section in your video, you should quote it correctly too. You obviously didn't watch my video at all because I never said IVE was "inexcusably disrespectful" but I was defending them.
I actually agree that the company is being biased with Wonyoung, that's a toxic trait and the company should work on that...

It's actually clever that they do that but definitely not healthy. Wonyoung is one of the most attention grabbing person so it makes sense when they use her image to get publicity which will benefit groups' profits. But it attracts negative attention which could harm the girls.
@@nikosfer.958 EXACTLY! I've said since all of this Wonyoung & the girls stuff started, that IVE will be another 7 year only group. If by chance they don't end up like Gugudan. Starship is already showing their bias so early on, & this is a mistake. I'm a Blackpink fan & once they announced Jennie's solo, she was everywhere while the other girls basically became models until the next Blackpink comeback. Then we had to wait until 2021 to get solo's from Lisa & Rose, & Lisa's was promoted horribly. Jisoo finally gets a starring role & it's inflamed in controversy. I hope Starship fixes this soon because it won't only hurt the other girls in the group, but Wonyoung as well. I like IVE & want to see all of the girls have equal success.

instead of criticizing ive for having a 'girl crush' concept (already debatable) despite being young girls, we should criticize the kpop industry in general for debuting idols who are WAY too young. every year idols get younger and younger and that within itself is already the problem. telling a group to change their concept to fit the age range doesn't tackle the core problem at all.
I don't see the problem with the girl crush concept. The problem is their outfits and maybe their ages, but besides that, an elegant/girl crush concept is suitable for them.
@@alexss3661 i think any kpop group should be able to do whatever concept they want. a girl group shouldnt be limited to doing only cute/innocent concepts just because their members are young. thats why i think companies need to stop debuting idols who are minors. it protects their idols (to a certain degree) and also allows them to be molded for whatever concept they want without being criticized for it.
Wait, what???. Girl crush image focusses on woman empowerment. You don't have to be old in age to support woman empowerment. Young or old boy or girl, anyone support woman empowerment. Nothing wrong with their concept. And they can wear whatever they want. They can wear revealing outfits if they want even if they are young. It's never the fault of clothes or idols that they get sexualised. It's the fault of people who see them that way. Idols wearing full length clothes also get sexualised. It's never the clothes that makes men see woman like that. It's their cheap mentality. Instead of blaming ive members or their company for wearing or giving them such outfits,, blame the person who sexualises them. Blame such people who see them like that.Many teenage actresses in the west strip down to shoot love scenes but that doesn't mean people sexualise them and if they do sexualise them then nobody blames the actress or her company. People blame those cheap minded people who sexualise them. You should stop blaming their outfits. Outfits has got nothing to do with them being sexualised.
@@gia42472 context also matters. female idols forced to wear short/revealing clothes is inherently meant to be sexy and appeal to the male gaze. wearing whatever you want and freedom of sexual expression is not for minors because they can’t consent to it and their company placing an emphasis on it means they know exactly what they’re doing - using very young girls to appeal to men. Female empowerment is also like the opposite of the kpop industry in general anyways, although genuine girl crush concept by a group like 2NE1 do exist. The concept of this group isn’t girl crush, it’s just an excuse for the company to peddle them to weirdos. No one in their right mind is blaming the idols for it - these points are made in relation to their management and company. Also it’s literally fucking ILLEGAL for minors to shoot sex scenes in “the west,” and sex scenes are also inherently sexualised so what the fuck is the point here??

They gave their consent. They have signed the contract and they knew what was gonna happen. It's their body, it's their choice to wear whatever they want. Wearing clothes has got nothing to do with being se*ualised. Even IU who wears full length clothes get se*ualies. Their company doesn't give them those dress to appeal to male gaze. That's illegal. It's illegal to be given clothes that you're not comfortable in wearing. Everyone likes to dress up. Having a good fashion sense doesn't mean you're appealing to male gaze and that also considering that there are more women in kpop than men. Jennie from blackpink doesn't wear short clothes because she wants to appeal to male gaze, she does it because she wants to.
And it's not illegal to shoot love scene or be n*de as a teenager in west. Kate winslet had 2 or 3 movies in which she appeared n*de when she was teenager. Movies like 13, gossip girls, the exorcist, blue lagoon etc are examples of such films where teenagers did adult scenes.

i remember somi speaking about how she had the “celebrity disease” when she was in i.o.i as well as after they had disbanded. i think wonyoung definitely suffers from the same narcissistic mentality but maybe isn’t fully aware of it yet. hopefully she tackles it before her group is even more negatively affected.

She's known among her fans, members and staffs who worked with her that she is very sweet and respectful.
@@sakurahinamori1338 i wrote that comment in the most respectful way i could, compared to the other comments with malicious intent. maybe the word narcissism sounds a bit harsh but i don’t know any other way to put it. treating your seniors with respect is an obligation, not a choice. i can’t even imagine choosing to ignore someone older than you - especially in a place where all eyes are on you. her behaviour is indicative of her group so unless she decides to change her act, they too will suffer.

I don't think Eleven is a girl crush concept at all. For me, it looks elegant and sophisticated, kinda like Iz*One's Secret story of the swan or WJSN's Save me save you or La la love. Honestly, I don't care what concept they're having as long as it's age appropriate for the members and the song is good and catchy.

It is so ‘Starship thing’. I still remember how Starship pushed Hyorin to sing like 70% of the song with 20% support from Soyou, 7% of Bora’s rap, and 3% of Dasom’s smile and short singing line.
Lmao I remember when Hyolyn destroy Dasom in terms of vocals in MR removed. It was phenomenal, kinda feel sad for Dasom but it's not her fault because Hyolyn is just on another level of vocals.

Eleven was an elegant concept not girl crush at all. The only person to blame is Starship: the end of year collaborations only featured Wonyoung and Yujin as much as people love to see them. I believe the next unit appearances/ collaborations should be given to the other 4

rei has solo covers. liz has a solo cover. yujin, leeseo and gaeul has a dance cover. all of them has covers with pretty outfits and pretty sets except for wonyoung (excluding the group ones). and go watch their show guesting WITHOUT wonyoung. go and see gaeul and yujin at ysl event. fyi, liz has the longest line in eleven. and wonyoung doesn't even have an expensive set in ive's teaser compared to the other members whose sets look very expensive. other members have individual activities too but y'all don't give a fuck and only focus on wonyoung.

I’m barely in the fandom for this group and I’m already annoyed and ready to unstan because of the ridiculous decisions not just Starship but the staff in this industry as a whole has made. It’s literally Wonyoung’s world and the rest of the members are forced to live in it
rather than the problem with IVE, I just want to comment about Wonyoung. The girl is definitely pretty but as an Idol, she is pretty stagnant. Since produce 48 through now, you can expect the same performances and her ending signatures, a slight open pout mouth and a wink. her styling will always the same, long, wavy hair with a tiara, a hair pin or a jeweled hair band. i guess these what bring money to her.
She hardly moves her face and makes almost no expressions. She is really beige. I don't understand the hype. The is pretty but not stand out exceptional beauty and her talents in dancing and singing are mediocre. She doesn't even have a good personality.

@@4evrmind giiirl i have been watching her since pd48. i did not say she does not have facial expressions rather she has the tendencies of having the same expressions on all her performances (slight open mouth 👄 and a wink) or photoshoots (always in the style of princessy/beauty queens). the only thing i feel she deviated from her usual expressions was her look when she walked in Japan's fashion show and that because the make-ups but she looked high-fashion there.

I feel bad for all of the members for the hate that they're receiving. Leeseo also only being 14 it must be so difficult for her. I'm a similar age to her and I can't imagine all of the hate and pressure that she's being put under. All of the members are really young and they're just trying to live their dream and they're getting hate mostly for no reason. We should blame Starship for most of these issues

I think when you decide to debut a group, you should promote the members equally. If they want to push Wonyoung that much they should have debut her as a solo artist but I think she doesn't have the skills to be a solo artist yet. She's pretty, her voice is sweet, but she doesn't have the charisma of Jessie or Hwasa, the stage presence of Hyuna. Sunmi skills for expressing emotion through her body movement or iu talent for writing lyrics or put emotion in her voice to be a solo artist yet. The fact that she is with the girls make her outstand but if you put her in the middle of some other idol with a potential as a solo artist she will be pretty buy that's it. It feels like the agency is using Ive as a milestone for Wonyoung to grow this skills and go solo. For exo members for example all the members are ambassador of a big brand but when they come as a group they stand as one and on the same level. If you watch mamamoo,bts, got7,big bang,shinee for example they all shine as a solo members but when they come as a group they don't outshine one another. For their attitude towards their senior Ive is making waves but so did aespa and today kep1er too, every girlgroup that just debuted are all called "monster rookie" so they should be more carefull, their success was fast but so was the success of the debut of other girlgroup in the same timeline.
I agree with if the company should treat all the members equally.
It's still too early to say that the company doesn't promote the members equally. Heck, they've only debuted for just a month and haven't even had a comeback. It's perfectly fine to promote the more popular members during debut to bolster the popularity of the group. But if the situation is the same in later comebacks then it is fair to criticize the company for that, but for now it is fine.

@@ae_delle7394 I actually didn't trash her or insult her in any way or say she isn't talented whatsoever. Thats why I put "she isn't ready yet" and didn't say she never will. I compare her to established solo act because she has the potential to become one of them but her agency needs to be carefull with how they manage her image now so this biased situation won't be a burden for her in the future.

Based on experience from other groups in the music industry, when the company only pushes one member to do all sorts of activities, none of those groups last longer (disband Or their popularity/hype will slowly disappear) eg: _the face of the group on stage, center, variety shows, as MCs etc._
Examples:
SS501 (Kim Hyun Joong and friends)
4Minute (Hyuna and friends)
Miss A (Suzy and friends)
Bol4 (Ahn Ji-young and a friend)
Momoland (Nancy and friends)
Gugudan (Kim Sejeong and friends)
The Pussycat Dolls (Nicole Scherzinger and backup vocals)
One Direction (Harry Styles and friends)
etc.
I can feel it in my blood, if starship will keep doing this formula, I must say IVE will not long last in this industry. They are still a young group, it is not too late to change. They should give all members fair treatment and promotion like Wonyoung. They are talented, shouldn't waste good talents.
In case of The Pussycat dolls it was actually just Nicole and backup dancers. She was singing all the songs, just charging her vocals a bit and other girls were lip singing to it.

If the company are so biased against Wonyoung, why not debut her as a soloist rather than favour her over other members? A group is about all members shining equally and having the same opportunities together. Obviously this is the company's fault and not Wonyoung's or IVE's

Everyone around Wonyoung has nothing to say but kindness and innocence and people miles away from her talking shits as if y'all know her. In so many controversial videos for IVE I never saw someone that hated Wonyoung and they directly hate the Company because of the unfair treament. I don't like Wonyoung as to I'm not a fan of IVE, but I keep on reading comments like this.
Right now, it kind of does look like 'Wonyoung and friends'. However, it's also been just a month so that notion is probably going to die down the more they're in the scene. Just like how when aespa debuted, it was mostly Karina in the spotlight, but now each member gets their fair share of attention. I'm hoping to see more IVE members shine in the future!

liz has the most lines in eleven. liz has a solo cover with a pretty set. rei has solo covers with pretty sets. yujin, gaeul, leeseo also has a dance cover just released today with two different stage outfits. out of all members in ive teaser, wonyoung (and leeseo) doesn't have an expensive set prepared for her compared to other members' sets that look more expensive. yujin & gaeul went to ysl event. ive has multiple covers as SIX members. also multiple guesting as SIX members. that's a lot of things in just a span of a month in ive's entire career and everyone keeps telling that it's only wonyoung that starship pushes? it's just that you don't pay attention to what the others are doing but when it comes to wonyoung it's suddenly favoritism? ive also went to a guesting without wonyoung (bc of music bank). if wonyoung is their favorite why would they allow ive to go on guesting without her? please focus on the others' activities too if you want them to get noticed. starship is putting a lot of effort in the other members' activities only for y'all to say that they ain't doing anything for the other girls.

Wonyoung has a lot of self confidence, it isn't a diva attitude. Some of these videos are taken out of context and it feels wrong to justify "hating" on an idol from small encounters. Maybe the company has strict orders on Wonyoung, to avoid any dating scandals. You never know, the company always has some kind of influence, seeing how they make Wonyoung stand out (it wasn't her choice).

You can watch reactions of Jaemin, Minju and Minho regarding their attitude and see everything for yourselves, Starship should do something about this if they don't want these girls to be known as rude and arrogant

This is always something I've hated, there's an age limit which is around 20 where you can't debute or enter a company because you're "old". Yet we even have a ten year old in the industry (Psy's company) , forget 14 year olds. Basically there's no such thing as to young, it's gross how some fans behave alongside comment on idols bodies. There's also those disgusting fan cam channels, some of which inappropriately focuses on certain angles of female idols bodies. Recently I saw one in my recommendations, it was of Somi and they were focused on her chest area "jiggling"🤢. There's even the fanfic writers who don't know boundaries, same for shippers and Saesangs. 🙄

I’ve started to take a liking to IVE. I was nervous to start liking the latest 4th gen Kpop groups because I truly love and appreciate the 2nd and 3rd gen and the concepts of the latest 4th gen groups are so differently unique. If anything, I see a big pattern with IVE’s controversy in terms of Wonyoung standing out; reminds me of Jennie during the DDU-DU-DDU-DU era and Soyeon during (G)I-dle’s debut. It’s a big controversial topic that dies down after a while. I’m sure these girls are going to succeed well with Starship, and I hope Starship will be able to educate these beautiful young women to become wonderful idles. They’re still young and still learning, no hate, just love and appreciation 🥰💕

I agree with concept part, honestly they are all underage and should’ve gone for a vibe less sexual than what it already is. The fact that they have a 14 year old and the girls are wearing outfits revealing at such young ages concerns me. Yes they can wear skirts, shorts , crop-tops etc, but the stylists need to reconsider their ages.

I agree. Like, the other issues doesn't really bother me as much as a 14 year old possibly getting sexualized because of their dance moves and outfits. We all know that there's a rumor out there that some companies "sell" their women idols to get more sponsorship or profit, and even if I think Starship isn't that small of a company to do such a thing, it's still unsettling to think of its possibility. Even if that's not the case, we know that there's so much creepy people out there. Knowing how young their idols are and knowing how often they can get sexualized, they could've done more to protect their idols. Especially if they're presenting said minors as if they're adults. At the same time, I think that they're doing it on purpose to stir some outburst and get people talking about the group more. This industry is tricky.
The problem isn't the girl crush/elegant concept. Even girl groups with cute concepts used to be sexualized like SNSD, Twice, I.O.I, and many others. The problem we need to address is their outfits, not their concept.

Wonho, SF9's Taeyang, EXO's Kai, TXT's Yeonjun and many others have been sexualized because of their outfits. It's basic biology and human nature, the more skin you show, the more "sexy" you look to other people. And yes their outfits are a problem when they don't decide to wear them voluntarily but their stylists are the ones dressing them according to the concept. All the members in IVE are still young and some of them are minors so their stylists shouldn't give them revealing clothes.

When I first found IVE, I ran into people constantly obsessing over Yujin's expressions, Liz's vocals, Rei's cute concept/sick rap style and more as they were some of the more main attractions that brought people's eyes to the group. That being said, I can DEFINITELY see how many of them would be pissed off that wonyoung is getting most of the attention.

All of these people hating on Ive for minimal reasons is quite shocking, the fact that FEMALE groups get hate even if they do minimal things is just totally unfair, considering the fact that minors are also getting malicious comments, imagine all the pressure, insecurities they get. I know I'm a bit late to share though recently I've read things abt StarShip forcing IVE's path to fame by sabotaging other groups and creating large scandals for them. Specifically related to Garam, Yuna, and Soojin who all received immense amounts of hate in the past year, and two having to depart from their groups. It felt like a plan to basically eradicate Wonyoung's competition so she stays on top. I don't know how credible that information was but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true, and honestly it's really unfortunate.

Also, Yujin's attitude in the Inkigayo encore didn't help ease the controversy as she literally ignored Sungchan and Jihoon to go to her groupmates, who also did not bow to them.
It's not just South Korea that is very sensitive about bowing, almost all Asian countries treat it as a form of respect, that's why Japanese people always bow to almost every people they see.

We never know how tired they are throughout the day and I don't think no one through the screens of their device can understand what they are esperiencing.
