Idk about tzuyu, but braces can make your jawline “more defined” if you have to adjust the alignment of your jaw (ie overbite). If you push your jaw outwards, it increases the definition.

i usually hate when people use the "they just grew up" or "it's just weight loss" to 'defend' their faves, but with tzuyu...it is so obvious that she grew up lmao when you're 16 your face is usually rounder and softer and it becomes more angular as you grow older. i'm not saying she hasn't gotten anything done (maybe she has maybe she hasn't i'm not her doctor) but what people are criticizing is just "i'm mad she isn't 16 anymore" lamo

I always had no problem with Yooa's surgery and always thought she look gorgeous either way. I didn't think she needed to bring it up but when she did, she said it's just "swollen" and that she did not get any surgery or fillers. This rlly didn't sit right with me because it makes other believe that she was rlly born like that, makes us look like fools who can believe things easily and makes others more unconfident in general. I wish she would've addressed it like Dia's Chaeyeon who admitted to have a nose job. I love her for being honest and she's always been beautiful both inside and outside. It's pretty obvious that she went to the surgeon and no one has a problem with it, I mean, Korea is the country with most surgeons in a year. some of the photos are photoshopped so you can't really tell.. and her face only looks chubbier in 2018-2019 with the photos they showed (btw she looks skinnier now in 2021).... I don’t think they’re forced to, but they 100% feel pressure to do it. They probably tell them that it’ll make them more beautiful and more popular and fans will like it, idk. Still messed up though and sad. Reminds me of mrs potato head by Melanie Martinez

not to make it sound any better, but its not just idols that get work done. Lots of girls straight out of high school get a nose job and like 70% gets a double eyelid surgery. While its surreal for me to imagine permanently changing your appearance, in Korea, its not that big a deal. Its kinda funny how netizens critisize idols for getting work done while everyone around them does the same.
Also (sorry im on a rant here), but its not like Hollywood is full of natural beauties😂 At least in Korea its subtle, in America you can tell from a mile away
I think it’s because wonyoung is wearing full lipstick and over lining naturally rather than the “gradient lips” which makes lip look smaller. For Tuzyu, the change isn’t even noticeable. I think Nayeon definitely got a nose job

ye she always did gradient lip and gloss which makes lips look smaller but this one is matte and clearly overlined at the corners which makes illusion of bigger lip and a bit botched look

I have to say this. Regarding Tzuyu's jaw, I think it's a natural development of the body. I also have these changes. My jaw is more prominent now compared to my younger years.
The worst part is they looked fine before the procedure; and what's even worse is the fact that usually are the agencies who "suggest" these surgeries.
Ikr, it's insane how they (agencies) are obssessed with beauty standards. So all these pressures on idols make them feel insecure about their own body and face. That's the actual thing that has to be changed. I think people are pointing out these things to say "you don't need to do surgery. You look perfect already." So i don't think there's any problem to be said by netizens.

I just think Tzuyu has matured beautifully. Besides her braces, she had no surgery or anything done physically different. Remember, Tzuyu was a lot thicker years before, which worked well in her favor. I think her vegan diet, along with her workout regimen and strenuous schedule while being in Twice, caused her to lose weight, which “changed” they way she looks. But she’s still incredibly beautiful nonetheless.

Regarding NAYEON. She had surgery when she was younger because she had a deviated septum and had serious breathing issues. She hasnt had surgery since then.
Deviated septum can be fixed without doing so much work to the nostrils and upturned nose tip (like Naeyon). The plastic surgeon overdid it.

While Nayeon’s old nose was cuter and fit the “bunny” look she naturally has, her new look definitely suits TWICE’s newer direction, plus I feel she has an easier time overall pulling off both cute AND mature looks now, whereas before her larger rounder nose made her face lean more towards cute, even when she was trying to look more mature.
I’ve been a CHOICE since forever and NEVER have I heard of WOW’s alleged plastic surgery procedure. Though I’ll admit that he does look a bit different but that’s his choice .
