Does prices are mostly branded and it has the supermarket's mark up. It's not uncommon to find an unbranded marketplace here. the more common price here in the Philippines is almost 2/3 of this price.
Thank you for sharing. I'm planning on visiting my fiance in January. This is a great help in deciding on what we should be doing and how I can help out if needed.
Prices where close to what I pay, the cheese was more expensive there..diapers and formula are expensive everywhere ! Fun video! A subject I'm well versed in.. 😂
THERE'S 110M POPULATIONS NOT ALL. ARE LIVING BAD.. THOSE POOR PEOPLE U KNOW WOULD NOT SHOP ON SUPERMARKET IN DAILY BASIS THEY WILL ALWAYS GO TO TRADITIONAL MARKET..
If you want to save some pesos, do your grocery in a local market not on expensive supermarket inside the mall. Local market or wet market have most everything locals needed, including fresh fruits, veges, fish, meat etc without paying the convenience price.
The Nestle Fresh Milk (Boxed Milk ) Comes From New Zealand ,They Don't Have Fresh Refrigerated Milk In Philippines Because Of Hard To Transport Refrigerated Products To Deliver To Stores And Most Filipino Don't Have Refrigerators Unfortunately ! Most USA Brands Cost More In Philippines Than In USA Costs Alot To Ship It There !
Cebu Dairy, we have fresh pasturized milk here, around P95 per liter. The wife is hooked on the chocolate, closer to P100. Normally only lasts for 5-7 days, unopened, refrigerated, of course.
@@daspicer1 Wow That's Cool , I Appreciate The Info , I Know In Balayan Or Calapan Didn't Have Any Refrigerated Fresh Pasteurized Milk And Was Hard To Find Real Cheese And Yogurt Also ? I Haven't Been To Cebu Yet ! Hope You Have A Great Day My Friend ! Ingat Lagi !
Pretty much same price in uk 🇬🇧 thought be a lot cheaper in the Philippines, it’s nice to see you both shopping together, many couples don’t. Can’t go wrong with Huggies 😅
I can’t believe how prices have gone up even in the provinces. Man the prices for cheese is insane and $40 dollars for Grey Goose oh hell no! I’ll take the Red Horse lol
The difference in imports and local is insane! Seems like the necessities are reasonably priced though. Going off usd anyways. I doubt it is for locals that get paid in pesos though.
Thank you for the video, you just gave me and my filipina wife an idea how expensive things are there, we are couponing here and finding markdowns and going to send her family a few balikbayan boxes to the Philippines. It's crazy everywhere how much gas and food has spiked! Take care stay safe!
Prices were expensive for Western products in Philippines and its same price in the US. These are the reasons why Pilipino wanted to work abroad to bring dollars back to our country
Im surprised to see a few Swedish brands. Phillipines gotta make more of their own stuff, cant expect a product made in a western country shipped all the way there to be cheap.
Relax Tim, Just stay around the homestead a little longer. I've been in Thailand since Sept 2019. It's too easy for us ex-pats. Just imagine being in the States. Don't be a cheap Charlie when it comes to your family. Don't get me wrong but we are paying pennies where they are paying dollars elsewhere.
Imported products like cheese, olive oil, and products that are not locally grown or sourced out are really expensive. Another consideration is the demand and market for these products: they aren't part of the staple foods in the country. Prices for white rice varies depending on its variety.
Kinda expensive just like in Europe Belgium those prices in the store... Life is getting expensive everywhere it seems! Very clean store the floor looks very nice and clean and shiny!
Not just in the province. Prices are rising everywhere. With the dollar gaining, prices from imported goods are expected to go higher specially for fuel so even local produce prices will increase.
I never heard or saw Starmilk before in Germany. However, it is surely same bad as the other milks in the Philippines because it is not a fresh milk but an H-milk.
In Singapore, the same tub of ice-cream costs $9.95 Singapore dollars.... Which is why I don't eat ice-cream much anymore... :-( This is due to the fact that MOST of these brand name products are imported and not made locally... More local industry will help stabilize pricing and give people choices...
Ya know what you all need in the Philippines... you all need a Dollar Store OR Family Dollar... those Stand up fans are $9... When you showed the fans and the price of $43 I was shocked 😲
Food seems to be cheaper in the local markets there. Seems prices are comparable to what we pay here in the US for olive oil vodka and tide. How do they survive on $40 a week. Wow!
Well I can say the prices are cheaper there than the US thank you for taking a shopping with you guys have a blessed day just watching now fell asleep early
I know it's higher but stick to the olive oil Tim. Red Horse in California a bottle is about $2.00 but of course it's imported, going to be higher. My Wife is chatting me and video call daily from Leyte and it's raining a lot. We were planning to go to Kalanggaman Island for a day or two but not sure now if it's going to be raining so much. I got a few weeks to go and I'll be heading over. have fun
It’s for export only. It’s lower grade milk thats bleached & deodorized. They export to Africa as well and bank on the Made in Germany label. Capitalism :)
Prices are not that far off from the US. An 8 oz bag of shredded Parm costs about $3+ but you can get it on sale for like $2.79. Time to potty train the little one then you save on diapers. Doesn’t Dale have a Yaya (Nanny) ? Have the Yaya potty train him. The Olive Oil is super expensive. You can get a 3 liter bottle here for about $10 in Sams
You are at the metro gaisano in maasin and you live in burgios i lived close to you i lived in that area door 7 years we just moved to cebu if you get a chance try having a frosty right by the door as you walk in to metro does strawberry for the chocolate are very good
I just realized is more expensive in the Philippines comparing here in Portugal which is part of Europe!
Because those products aren't sourced locally and are not part of the daily staple. They are imported on foreign countries.
I know bcoz of the corruption in Transportation and department of agriculture
Hi Tim, looks like prices are going up everywhere. Nice to see you and Chrissy on a vlog together. Take care, God Bless you and your family!
Does prices are mostly branded and it has the supermarket's mark up.
It's not uncommon to find an unbranded marketplace here.
the more common price here in the Philippines is almost 2/3 of this price.
Not in Germany! They stuff there are cheap!
Thanks Tim for sharing this insight into grocery prices in the province.
Thank you for sharing. I'm planning on visiting my fiance in January. This is a great help in deciding on what we should be doing and how I can help out if needed.
Some of those prices like cheese were like Aussie prices. That’s insane considering what the locals make per day
Products in Australia are affordable? You obviously don’t shop in Australia
product og Australia is the same its getting expensive too. I noticed everytime I go to wollies 50 dollars is only few in your bag.
Locals don't buy on a daily basis, maybe on spesial occasions.
Imported products are expensive everywhere. Most people don’t even shop at super markets in those countries they shop at their local village markets
Great subject. Watching now. I enjoyed grocery shopping in Davao. Every few days we would stock up.
Prices where close to what I pay, the cheese was more expensive there..diapers and formula are expensive everywhere ! Fun video! A subject I'm well versed in.. 😂
I actually love this video. Great to see the available selections and price comparison.
Nic store... looks like a better shopping experience than most malls in the States.
Some products are more expensive than here in Holland
I worry for the Philippine people.
It depends because phils is archipelago they import from other places.
Actually we have more alternative cheap mid range and expensive well its people choice what to buy
THERE'S 110M POPULATIONS NOT ALL. ARE LIVING BAD.. THOSE POOR PEOPLE U KNOW WOULD NOT SHOP ON SUPERMARKET IN DAILY BASIS THEY WILL ALWAYS GO TO TRADITIONAL MARKET..
Don't worry they can survive off rice easily
I’m actually sending some balikbayan boxes of things that I’ve heard are very overpriced in the Philippines (like coffee especially).
Same here, me and my filipina wife are couponing and finding deals so we can help her family out there in Manila!
@@jessejoe7216 They were opening the First WalMart in Manila. I wonder how those prices are?
@@philwaller4379 sorry, i'd prefer shopping with smaller vendors.

Everything is crazy expensive. It’s more expensive in the Philippines than here in San Francisco USA. 😬

Tim please ask Chrissy to consider switching from corn oil to olive oil. Much healthier God bless
EV COCONUT OIL IS CHEAPER THAN THE EVOO
Yes, more healthy, but Olive oil is very expensive in the Philippines.

That food is just as expensive as the USA, except for rent.
A small studio apt is now between $1500-$2000 bucks.
But at least the Dollar is up against the Peso so Tims Income in Dollars should make it more bearable because he gets more pesos for his dollars.
Im surprised to see a few Swedish brands. Phillipines gotta make more of their own stuff, cant expect a product made in a western country shipped all the way there to be cheap.
They don't know how to make the same as imported stuff!
